Before I knew it, the school day had ended, and I found myself walking out of the classroom. Up ahead, I saw Hong Shi-Ah, Bo-Bae, and Seo Ji-Ho walking together. As I passed them, I turned to Hong Shi-Ah and Bo-Bae and said, "Goodbye! See you both tomorrow at school."
I saw Hong Shi-Woo waiting for me, and we made our way to the basketball court. After a vigorous game, I decided it was time to eat. "Let's grab some food," I said, not waiting for his response. I led him to the cafe and ordered a substantial amount of food for him.
As I watched him eat, I thought to myself, I'm really taking care of this kid like he's my own. But let's be real—I'm doing this to get closer to his mother.
I looked at Hong Shi-Woo and said, "Let's go for the basketball team trials at school."
He hesitated, so I continued, "Think about it—you're already better than those kids on the team now. You could easily make the cut."
He looked at me, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Do you really think so?" he asked.
I met his gaze firmly and said, "Absolutely. You're a great basketball player. Let's do this together."
Hong Shi-Woo nodded in agreement. After finishing our meal, I said goodbye to him and activated my invisibility, floating back towards my villa. Upon entering, I deactivated my invisibility and found Vladena waiting for me in the living room.
I walked over to her, took her in my arms, and kissed her deeply. After a moment, I pulled away and asked, "So, my love, how was your day?"
Vladena smiled and said, "I've selected Jung Da-Jung and two other female colleagues that were in the plot. The results will be announced to her soon."
I looked at her, curious. "What happened with Hong Dae-Young?"
Vladena explained, "The actress's husband confronted Hong Dae-Young about their affair and beat him up. He has filed for divorce, and the actress is using this opportunity to pressure Hong Dae-Young into marrying her, claiming he forced her that night and is responsible for her divorce."
She continued, "Hong Dae-Young is confused. I found out through call records that Jung Da-Jung contacted him, asking why he couldn't appear in court for the divorce hearing. He didn't say much but insisted he didn't want to divorce her."
I looked at Vladena and said, "Have the actress confront Jung Da-Jung with the video of her husband's affair. Make sure she knows how her husband's actions led to the divorce."
Then I asked, "Vladena, can you locate Jung Da-Jung right now?" She quickly checked her phone and replied, "She's at a nearby cafe with Choo Ae-Rin. They're having drinks together."
I looked at Vladena and said, "I'm going to meet her. It's time."
I changed the appearance of my clothes to a more casual look but still handsome and took out a Rolls Royce from the system storage and asked Vladena to register this car in the security system of Korea as a VIP. Vladena had already prepared my driving license and everything so there is nothing to worry about.
I started the car and drove towards Jung Da-Jung's location. Soon after a while I reached the destination and parked my car on the side of the road and saw Jung Da-Jung and Choo Ae-Rin standing at the front of the cafe.
Moments later, I saw Jung Da-Jung begin to walk forward, her eyes closed, just as it had happened in the plot. I quickly exited my car, positioning myself to intercept her as she neared the edge of the road where traffic was rushing by. The timing had to be perfect—I had to appear and save her just as she reached the end of the walking path and stepped into danger.
As Jung Da-Jung reached the edge of the road, a car sped past, honking its horn. In an instant, I reached out and pulled her into my arms, saving her from the oncoming traffic. The sound of the horn and my touch jolted her back to her senses, and she opened her eyes, looking up at me with a mix of surprise and awe.
I held her gaze for a moment before letting her go, steadying her on her feet. She continued to stare at me, seemingly dazed. I asked, "Are you okay?"
She blinked, finally coming to her senses, and replied, "Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you for saving me just now."
I looked at her, taking in her flustered but cute expression, and said with a teasing smile, "You know, it's generally a good idea to keep your eyes open when walking, especially near traffic. What were you doing walking with your eyes closed?"
Jung Da-Jung, embarrassed, explained, "This... this was just a game my friend asked me to play." She looked around, but Choo Ae-Rin was nowhere to be seen. "She was just here. Where did she go?"
Just then, Choo Ae-Rin approached them, her eyes wide with concern. "What happened? Did he save you?" she asked, looking at Jung Da-Jung.
Jung Da-Jung turned to her friend, a mix of relief and irritation in her voice. "You... do you want me to die? Where did you go when you asked me to play a game like that?"
Choo Ae-Rin quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, I was on a call and got distracted." She turned her head and started looking at me, her eyes filled with an intense, almost hungry gaze.
I looked at her and thought, No matter how I look at her, I just can't find her appealing. There's something off about her, and I can't put my finger on it.
I looked at Jung Da-Jung and Choo Ae-Rin and noticed a man dressed in black clothes and a black cap approaching from behind Jung Da-Jung. I recognized him as Ye Ji-Hoon.
I quickly walked towards Jung Da-Jung, gently took her by the arm, and guided her to the side of the road. "Let's move to the side," I said, looking at her. "We're blocking the way for others."
Jung Da-Jung took a deep breath, her eyes widening as she came back to her senses. What had she been thinking, getting flustered over a silly game? She looked at Choo Ae-Rin, a mix of annoyance and concern in her eyes.
"Let's call a taxi," Jung Da-Jung said, her voice firm with newfound resolve. "It's getting late, and I need to get home "
