Eight years later.
The servants walked through the princess quarters carrying something in there, as they entered the large room, that belonged to Ameera.
"Greetings, your highness." The group of maids greeted the beautiful princess who was sitting in front of the mirror, being helped by the maids in getting ready.
Ameera, who had grown up to be a beautiful woman, looked gorgeous at the skilfully crafted night blue and golden gown. Her blemish free face, being coated with a light layer of makeup. Her eyes rimmed with khol. And her lips being tinted with colour. She looked absolutely gorgeous.
Turning towards the door, she smiled looking at the group of maids and she slightly nodded. Her eyes fell on the trays that the maids came in carrying and she asked looking at them curiously, "What are those, Hailey?"
The maid named, Hailey, who was heading the group of maids, put down the tray and the others followed.
These are some of the gifts and presents sent or given by the kings, nobles, Dukes, counts, and other people, for you on the occasion on today's ceremony." She explained.
"His Majesty, has asked us to bring all of these to you. And you might wear something from here to if you like. These are only the jewels. We will bring the rest, that could be brought, after this." She added.
Ameera nodded, as her eyes glanced at the huge trays placed in front of her, that had all kinds of sparkly jewelleries.
"And..." Hailey drawled as she reached over another tray, which was comparetively smaller, and was covered with a red clothe.
Ameera's eyes fell on it curiously, as she slightly raised her eyebrows. And then Hailey smiled and pulled off the cloth and said, "Here is another present for you, Princess Ameera. From the royal castle's kitchen." She chuckled at the end of her sentence.
On removing the cloth, the delicious smell of deserts wafted accross the room, and on seeing the mouthwatering view of cake, that was under the glass lid cover, Ameera stuck out her to give licking her upper lip.
"Ahan... This is the first best thing that happened since morning." She said with shiny eyes, clapping her hands. Hailey chukled as she brought the tray to Ameera.
She knew that Ameera had been very busy since dawn for the ceremony today. And that she had barely eaten anything since morning.
So, she had asked the royal kitchen to make a huge cake, the one that she had been talking about wanting to eat last night.
Seeing the cake, Ameera was all smiles. She waved her hands and told her ladies in waiting, "Let's take a pause, everyone and eat the cake first. Then I will get ready."
Clearly her priority was food over anything else. Even if it was one of the most important ceremony of her life.
The castle was being decorated all over beautifully. It was the Princess' birthday, and coming of age too.
And as the only daughter of the King of Peria, on her eighteenth birthday, the day of her coming of age, King Atlas decided to announce her as the heir of the kingdom.
In the patriarcal world, there were not many kingdoms that were ruled by woman. But King Atlas had confidence in his daughter that she could rule the kingdom just as good as any male would.
Moreover, as his only kin and daughter, he wanted her to have her own independency, control and power over her life. And would not just be forced to become a pretty wife of some other man. He knew his daughter had better capabilities, and therefore, he had decided to announce her as his next heir on the day of her age coming.
Atlas knew that after today, she will be starting to receive a lot of proposals for marriage. But he wanted the courters to already know that they were courting a woman powerful enough. And should expect no less from her.
