Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Mastering Crawling Skills After Three Months

Lin Luo didn't expect to use his newfound ability in such a situation.

However, he had no regrets.

Qian Daoliu, Bibi Dong, and the others were among the top powerhouses on this continent. If he didn't thoroughly shock them, there would be endless trouble later.

Besides, these two people were his great-grandfather and grandmother in name.

What an interesting start…

Reborn, and the first opponents he had to deal with were his own great-grandfather and grandmother.

Qian Renxue, although she didn't understand what had just happened, played along. She sternly warned, "Grandfather, that's enough."

"Yiya!" Lin Luo cried out.

Hearing the sound from the baby in her arms, Qian Renxue thought Lin Luo was scared. She quickly patted his little bottom, softly comforting him, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid~"

The 30-second weakening effect was still in place.

Qian Daoliu stared in fear and disbelief at the scene before him.

He couldn't muster an ounce of strength, nor could he use any of his abilities.

Compared to the last time when he was violently thrown through the air, this powerless situation terrified Qian Daoliu even more.

Despair, helplessness, confusion—countless negative emotions swirled within him.

But then, suddenly, strength returned to his body.

His soul power became controllable again, and his body no longer felt weak or limp.

All the elders and Titled Douluos who had fallen to the ground now stood up as if nothing had happened.

Everyone was shocked, not just the spectators—even the affected individuals themselves.

What in the world? They had just been down and out, and now they were perfectly fine?

Qian Renxue, holding Lin Luo, instinctively took a step back, trying to maintain her composure.

She had no idea what had just happened—there was no way her grandfathers would just play along like this.

Qian Daoliu, now much calmer, looked at her with more caution.

"Who is his father?" he asked, probing.

He couldn't shake the feeling that this mysterious man was lurking somewhere nearby, watching everything silently.

This made him feel deeply unsettled.

Qian Renxue responded, "That's a secret. He… he doesn't belong to the Douluo Continent."

Qian Daoliu nodded thoughtfully, his voice low. "I figured as much."

What? Qian Renxue was stunned. You guessed it? I was just making it up!

Qian Daoliu had already deduced the only plausible explanation—there was no one on the Douluo Continent capable of embarrassing him this much! The only logical conclusion was that this man was not from this world.

Little did he know, everything stemmed from the infant in Qian Renxue's arms, and no "father" even existed.

Seeing her grandfather's emotions stabilize, Qian Renxue seized the opportunity. "I… I truly love him, Grandfather, and I hope you will recognize your great-grandchild."

Guang Ling, sensing the change in atmosphere, quickly chimed in, "Yes, big brother, your great-grandson is adorable! You haven't even taken a proper look yet!"

But Qian Daoliu didn't dare to look now.

He was even reluctant to approach Qian Renxue, for fear that her mysterious husband might strike him down out of nowhere.

Wait, "husband"? I haven't even acknowledged him yet!

Qian Daoliu furrowed his brows, his voice stern. "Renxue, you're still so young. You have a huge responsibility on your shoulders!"

Qian Renxue shook her head. "It won't interfere with anything. I can manage everything just fine."

"If you think the child's existence is a problem, we can keep him a secret for now," she continued.

"Only we know about him. His existence will remain completely confidential at this stage."

Her argument was flawless.

The most important point was that she had now openly acknowledged this was a child born out of genuine love, not a random or accidental pregnancy. The child had legitimacy.

Qian Daoliu was silent for a moment before letting out a cold snort. "If you want me to recognize him, then I need to see if he possesses the Seraphim spirit!"

With that, he swept his sleeve and walked away.

But the Second Worshipper smiled. "Don't worry. That old stubborn mule has half-admitted it already."

Qian Renxue smiled too, fully aware of the change in her grandfather's tone.

The moment Qian Daoliu left, the other elders rushed forward like unleashed stallions, excitedly crowding around.

"Quick, quick, let me hold my great-great-grandson!"

"No, I was first!"

"Step aside, it's my turn!"

In an instant, Lin Luo found himself passed around like a small bundle, surrounded by eager elders.

Lin Luo blinked, stunned, and then broke out in a cold sweat.

It's fine to look, fine to touch, but for heaven's sake, don't kiss me!

Lin Luo silently complained.

Qian Renxue stood by, watching this heartwarming scene with a smile.

Suddenly, someone approached her. Turning to see who it was, she saw Bibi Dong.

"You really love him?" Bibi Dong's voice was cold as she asked the question.

At first, Qian Renxue didn't understand who she meant, but then she nodded. "Yes."

For a fleeting moment, she saw something like envy flash in Bibi Dong's eyes.

"Then that's good," Bibi Dong said coldly, then turned to leave.

Was it because this child wasn't born from someone she loved that she was so determined to eliminate him?

Qian Renxue, realizing this, called out, "You can… look at the child if you want."

Bibi Dong paused, remaining silent for a moment.

But she responded, "No need," and continued walking away.

Qian Renxue watched her go, speechless for a long time.

"By the way, Renxue, have you named the baby?" the Second Worshipper asked.

Holding Lin Luo, though with his massive arms, it looked like the baby was nestled in his elbow instead of cradled in his hands.

"Yes, I've named him Lin Luo," Qian Renxue replied.

"Oh, so that rascal's surname is Lin, huh?"

Three months later.

"Lin Luo!!!"

A frantic voice echoed from one of the rooms within the Pope's palace.

Qian Renxue stared at the empty crib, her expression instantly panicked. Her hands gripped her messy golden hair as she tried to figure out what had happened.

Where is the little rascal???

She shouted Lin Luo's name, dashing out of the room.

Over the past few months, Qian Renxue had stayed in Spirit Hall, juggling her cultivation and caring for Lin Luo.

As for the Heaven Dou Palace, they had been told that the crown prince was unwell and had gone to a remote, quiet place to recover. He would return once fully healed.

In reality, Qian Renxue wanted to wait until Lin Luo could walk before bringing him back to the palace.

Reports from spies suggested that no one in the Heaven Dou Palace was suspicious.

The emperor even occasionally inquired about the prince's recovery.

But truth be told, Qian Renxue had been exhausted these past months.

She couldn't let Lin Luo's presence be openly known in Spirit Hall, so most of the childcare responsibilities fell solely on her.

Feeding, diaper changing, bathing, wiping little messes, lulling him to sleep… Qian Renxue, despite being so young, had become an expert in all of these tasks.

Now, with Lin Luo missing, her head throbbed. He had crawled off on his own again!

Suddenly, a shadow darted by behind her. Qian Renxue spun around, her sharp gaze immediately locking onto the culprit.

You little scamp, mommy can smell your stinky little trail!
