Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: A Dozen Titled Douluos Can’t Catch a Baby?

It was clear now: every 90 spins unlocked a powerful "Martial Spirit Tag", a permanent upgrade for his martial spirit when it awakened. To reach this, he needed 45,000 points—which meant crawling a solid 4,500 meters! [TL: for anyone wondering one spin take 500 points each]

A tough feat for an infant, but with his speed boosts? Lin Luo's crawl speed now rivaled that of a skilled agility spirit master, just like Elder Guangling had said. Just imagining this—if he collected dozens of Martial Spirit Tags over the next three months, then applied them all in one go—what would his awakened spirit transform into? It would be something unimaginably powerful, more than in his previous life!

So, for now, all it took was being on his mother's bad side and maybe a sore bottom. But that was nothing! Some puppy eyes and a bit of baby charm, and he'd be forgiven. No big deal, right?

Just then, Lin Luo heard a shout behind him. "Stop right there!" It was Qian Renxue. He turned back, flashing her a toothy smile before taking off again. This inner plaza, paved in solid marble, was spacious enough for him to keep racking up the distance.

He checked his inventory: one final speed boost remained, a temporary buff that increased his crawling speed by a whopping 5,000 times! Instantly, he activated it, his speed now boosted to a ridiculous 7,000 times the norm!

"Come back here, you little—!" Qian Renxue's eyes widened in disbelief as Lin Luo sped off even faster than before. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't keep up with him.

What on earth did I give birth to here? Qian Renxue thought in shock.

Nearby, more elders had joined in, rushing from the Elder Hall and offering help.

"Is that really our young heir moving at that insane speed?" muttered Elder Yue Guan as he arrived.

Several titled Douluo were now assembled, staring at the child zooming around like lightning. They could hardly believe it.

"Has the boy somehow… mutated?" asked Golden Crocodile Douluo, scratching his head.

"Enough questions! We can't let him wander into the outer plaza!" shouted Green Luan Douluo. "Ghost Leopard! Demon Bear! Distract the guards!" he ordered, coordinating their chaotic rescue.

Glancing back, Lin Luo saw Qian Renxue's flushed, breathless face and couldn't help but laugh in his high-pitched baby voice. But then he realized: up ahead, a whole semi-circle of elders had closed in, edging toward him.

"Come on, Little Luo," said Second Elder in a deep voice, "be good and come back to Mom, or Grandpa will have to give you a little smack on the bum!"

Lin Luo frowned. He'd come this far; there was no way he was giving up now!

Up to now, he'd used all of his speed boosts and even consumed a full-stamina card, but he'd only managed to crawl 3,000 meters—barely enough for one spin! He couldn't stop now!

As the elders closed in, Lin Luo dashed forward. "Stop him! No spirit skills!" shouted Golden Crocodile Douluo. "We don't want him hurt!"

"Understood, Second Elder!"

Can't believe it takes twelve of us to catch one baby! The group moved in, surrounding Lin Luo—but then he pulled a new trick.

Now for the Qin King Maneuver!* Lin Luo thought, darting in between their legs and weaving through their ranks.

"Quick, block him! He's near you, Old Six!" shouted Lion Douluo, his eyes widening.

"Where? Where?" the elder replied, looking down, only to stumble forward. Soon enough, the whole line of elders went tumbling, forming a heap of arms and legs.

Lin Luo sped out from under them, grinning with glee as he watched the chaos unfold behind him. Qian Renxue and Guangling, who'd been guarding the plaza entrance, were completely stunned.

"Come on, you're supposed to be the best! This is embarrassing!" shouted Guangling, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Hey, you think you can do better? Be my guest!" snapped Green Luan Douluo, his face red with frustration as he spat out some dust. The twelve elders were tangled in a mess, practically tripping over each other in a heap.

Lin Luo quickly realized it wasn't wise to linger here. If they boxed him in completely, they'd catch him for sure. He wasn't going to waste his hard-earned power-ups by getting caught just yet!

With that, he made a break for the outer plaza. But just then, a golden figure descended from above, blocking his way.

Qian Renxue stood before him, her six wings spread wide before folding back. "Not one more step," she said, eyes flashing. "Or no more milk for you."
