Chapter 33 - Final - Test (2)

Or so I thought... Damn... This guy J. Blumming... What the hell is he made of?

Bro really took 3 wickets in his 10 overs and put us at the upper hand. They are really staggering with 53/5.

With the end of the first session of day 5 we had the upper hand in the match.

But, one of the dangerous batsman who's scored the 2nd Most runs in the game and our arch nemisis T. Hecan is still in the crease.

If he doesn't get out by the end of the first 10 overs... We might as well have the match away from us.

This bastard has been a thron in our path for the whole of the torunament. We can't let him have his way...

...

We made our plans to takr him out but none of them worked...

It looks like he's been quite cautious of the balls unlike the first innings.

But, It's Understandable though... The pitch is at It's worst currently.

The shit It's doing because of the Circles and the pitch itself is not a laughing matter.

He's held most of the strike and yet we still managed to take 2 wickets in the 2nd session.

But, sadly they scored 58 runs in this innings.

Making the score 111/7.

We had the upper hand we had to defend 52 more runs in the final session and had to take 3 wickets.

...

10 overs of the final session they scored 20 runs but lost 1 wicket which led to the team being at 131/8 and with 32 runs more to defend we were quite on edge.

Again, This bastard took most of the strike...

Even though we did our best to make sure he didn't take a single of the last 2 balls or took a single of the first 4 heck even mishit the ball and he'd get out but none of it was working.

He was cautions. He would defend or hut the ball along the ground in hopes of hitting a boundariy but wouldn't take a single until the 2nd last ball.

The game was getting out of hand... and it was this guy again being a pain 8n the rear for us...

...

I bowled a lit of overs to make sure we finished the 90 over quota today.

It was important that we bowl all the 90 overs since the match was at It's end and we had to win if we wanted the cup.

Especially considering the fact that they were pretty damn close to the target.

With 10 more overs to go and 1 more wicket to get.

And on their side they had to score 15 more runs.

And for the first damn time with me bowling that damn bastrad was not on strike.

I more or less understood where and when the traps set and go left and right.

I set the 3 fielders very close to the bowler, two were behind and the other 5 were inside the 30 yard circle.

There was no way i'd let these bastards get the win.

If you want to you can try and hit the ball in the air. I'm ready to take that risk.

But i ain't lettin you get the win.

and so i flighted all the balls at good length and some on half volley/full length.

I did the risk bowling it for the first bowl and he missed it...

Sadly i hit the trap that turned the bowl away from the bat.

So i couldn't own his stumps...

So hitting the 2 lengths consecutively.

I ended the over in a maiden.

no runs were given but sadly i couldn't take a wicket.

How fucking annoying this damn luck of mine.

...

The rat bastard couldn't really hit boundaries since most of the fielders were back so he took the strike for all the 6 balls and took a single of the last.

This time we didn't set the field inside the 30 yard circle but ratger let the fielders spread near the boundaries.

That's the good thing about test cricket.

You can keep all your remaining 9 fielders in the boundary line except for the keeper and the bowler.

For him i didn't bowl half volleys because that'd be a hut me bowl and all the effort would be put in vein.

He had to get 14 more runs in 8 overs.

Even if he took 1 run of every over he wouldn't be able to win.

But, we too wouldn't be able to win and it'd end up in a draw.

It's rather annoying how these things go.

Imagine playing a 5 day match only for it to end in a draw. It'd be quite irritation especially considering It's a final.

And so i bowled my over and he got 1 single out of it.

3 overs were down and he had to get 13 in the 7 remaining overs.

Does this bastard intend to draw the match? No, Considering the type of player he is.

He's waiting for a bad ball to deposit it into the stands.

We can't afford to give him a bad bowl.

Man if only blumming could come back to strike.

He took 5 wickets today but he's quite exhausted.

If he'd been on the other end. It'd be the end of this guy.

Sadly he wasn't in good shape. He bowled over 30 overs today.

He might be able to bowl just one over.

That was my job. To not leak enough runs and make sure that our main bowler picks the wicket.

...

4th over ended with 1 run.

5th over ended with 1 run.

6th over ended with 1 run.

4 more overs were left. and i was supposed to bowl 2 of them

He hasn't taken any of the baits i set him.

What's this guy waiting for?

Why isn't he trying to go for it. Does he believe that he can win this match in the final over?

They needed 10 runs in 4 overs.

A tail ender and a middle order smasher playing the innings of their lives probably.

He's taken almost all of the 5 overs except my first 1 over.

He's resilient, I'll give him that.

And so 7th and 8th over ended with 1 run each with the team needing 8 runs in total.

First one was defended solidly. Not now haa?

2nd ball again, solid defence... I'll have to bait him.

I obviously won't bowl a half volley but I'll definately flight it.

Oih he went for it... shittttttttt

The edge... the edge is going ofr a four please somebody stop it, stop it....

damn it....

Oohhhhhh!! Isn't that the captain taking initiative... I love you captain.

Just as it was about to go for a boundary he dived in and cought the ball right beside the boundary line.

Good thing he wasn't touching the ropes.

I'm glad...

I kept giving the captain flying kisses to appreciate his effort...

What a great captain i have.

And so they took 2 runs...

Ooh... Shit, they took 2 runs didn't they? doesn't that mean 1 hit is enough for them to win...

Shit, I'm getting nervous...

Shit, amy heart's beating hard...

fkin hard.

I stopped myself from bowling and took deep breaths.

I know it's the nerves getting us all. Look at the crowd they are silent to the core.

It's like the people aren't even there even though the attendence is more than 5 thousand people.

Well I'm quite glad the game is getting more popular among the people.

I than took more deep breaths and than took my stance and bowled 2 good bowls which led to 0 runs.

But still i had the fielders out. because i know the last over will be bowled by that guy.

I Know that guy can pull it off.

I just had to bowl 1 good bowl and atleast make sure i Don't let him on strike.

And so i bowled what i bowl best...

A carrom ball at good length and it spun so sharply after it hit the trap that...

His stumps went flying...
