Chapter 3 - Why do I?

"You are absolutely shit at Swordsmanship, no matter how hard you work or how battered bour body becomes it's not use."

"So... You wanted me dead for just that reason? You could have just rusticated me if you didn't like this telentless Person. Why try and kill me? Unlike you, I ain't well off... If I die, my parents will have nobody to turn to. Do you realise what you just did? No matter what you think of another person, Y'all sopiled assholes who'll never-*bam*"

"Alright, that's enough Outta you."

Before I could finish talking she bammed me on the head.

"You seem to have mistaken my actions."

"What?"

I cought my head because of the pain and asked her in an almost irritated expression.

I'm unusually irritated for some reason...

The entire rejection must be getting to me, all these damn spoiled brats...

I wanna beat the snot nosed shit Outta everyone laughing at me right now but for now I'll listen to her explanations.

"Alright, I'll show you..."

she emitted an aura of complete domination as I covered in front of her.

"Did everyone feel it?"

"Yes Miss Sofia."

Everyone answered in unison.

She than looked at me and asked.

"Did you feel it?"

After she stopped using the Aura of domination she asked

"Mm.. yes."

"When?"

"Mm... Before you took out your sword a good 3 seconds before you said that you'd use the Aura of domination."

"Aura of domination? I like that name. Ahm, precisely. And, when did you all feel it?"

Was it supposed to be a test, I hope I passes I thought as I looked at the other people.

I started sweating profusely as soon as everyone was looking at we with a weird gaze.

Wait, did I get it wrong? Why is the teacher trying to humiliate me like th-

"Ummm.. miss, didn't you start using that Aura after you finished the words?"

Everyone nodded in unison to his words.

What what? Than what about the aura of domination that she used before she took out her sword?

It was faint but it was there, it was a bit easy to detect.

"Hmm.. as expected y'all are disappointing. And, you Princess White, did you feel it?"

"Mmm... A tiny bit, not very noticeable but it was there."

"I see, quite disappointing."

"What about you? Young lad."

"Maybe I'm mistaken but I felt a strange Aura coming out of you before you drew your sword and it grew stronger after you drew it."

She stood there looking at me.

"When did I Start using aura?"

"Mm.. I'm not sure about the precise timing but it was probably 3-5 seconds before you drew your sword."

She looked at me startled.

"I see."

She said and got closer to me.

Am I in trouble?

"You... Become my apprentice."

Am I, What?

"Whattttt?"

Everyone shouted in unison.

"What did you just say?"

"Become my apprentice, I'll teach you the way of assassination... I'm looking for an apprentice who can carry out my legacy and it appears I've found a perfect Lab rat."

"What? What? And WHATTT??"

"As you know, I'm the best Assassin in my Family of ancestors and there hasn't been anyone who was a better assassin class as me."

"I see..."

It felt weird seeing someone praise themselves.

"So, I want someone to carry out my legacy and become as strong as me. But, everyone is so boring these days. This is the first time, I've seen someone this sensitive to killing Intent and managed In general."

"Mm..."

"I see, so you have a reason for holding onto a sword?"

"Can I take a day and give you an answer tomorrow?"

She didn't care about my answer and instead asked me another.

"Why do you cling onto a sword, you should have known... You have hit a wall 3 years ago, you should know that Swordsmanship is holding you back, so why? Is it a family matter?"

"Mm, no. It was just a promise I made to someone as a child..."

I kept my head down as I told that. People started chuckling as I said that.

Serina was also here, and I wanted to see her reaction but she didn't seem to care much.

"So, than do you intend to cling onto something that might cripple you in the future?"

She asked me that and I suddenly flinched at those words.

"No, maybe if things were the way I thought they were, I probably would. But, it turns out that I wasn't as important to them as I thought I was."

"Than why?"

"It's just, I've been living with the sword for almost forever, my father was also a Swordsman who died in battle, so I wanted to be like him someday.

I want to think about everything and I want to give you an answer tomorrow."

"Your father has? I see, I'll let you."

"Ma'am? I'd happily take even 1 of your private classes if possible. Why are you giving such a commenor this chance?"

"You guys are boring that's why, you don't have any skill in detecting Sensitive mana, he can.

He may be a commoner but he's a talented one.

I have to Get as many prodegies as I can before the upcoming battle with the Demon Lord."

She than said with her head bowed.

Demon... Lord?

Aah?

The moment those words were uttered, I felt something strange inside my head as memories were surging here and there.

What's going on?

Why do I see images of battlefield when I've never been to one?

"That'd why, I have to raise prodegies and turn them into Humanity's strongest Weapons.

To kill the damn bastard that controls the world."

She had a melancholic expression on her face.

It's understandable tho, her brother who she loved and cherished has been going missing since the Demon Lair Invasion.

She's been desperately searching for him.

But, more importantly why do I know all this?
