Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 I Will Work Hard to

Earn Money

Thomas sat in his small room with a yellowed magic equipment catalogue spread out in front of him. His eyes lingered on those exquisite pictures of magic equipment, his heart full of longing. He knew that these equipments could greatly enhance his magic ability, but he also knew that the prices of these equipments were very high and far beyond what his current financial situation could afford.

He recalled his previous mistake. That incident of stealing gold coins almost made him lose everything. He vowed never to take that path again. He would obtain the equipment he needed in a proper way. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and began to think about how to make money.

Thomas's first thought was to use his magic skills. He decided to perform magic in the market on weekends to attract audiences and earn some gold coins. He knew that this required courage because he would face the eyes and evaluations of everyone, but he also understood that this was his opportunity to prove his ability.

He began to prepare the performance program and practice various eye-catching magics. His mood was both nervous and excited. He knew that this would be his first step in making money.

The market on weekends was very lively. Thomas stood on a temporarily built stage. His heart beat faster and his palms sweated slightly. He took a deep breath and began his performance. He waved his wand and performed one wonderful magic after another. The audiences were deeply attracted by his performance and threw gold coins one after another. After the performance, Thomas felt an unprecedented sense of accomplishment. Looking at the gold coins in his hand, his heart was full of joy. He knew that this was just the beginning. He needed more money to buy the magic equipment he liked.

In addition to performing magic, Thomas also began to teach other magic apprentices. He used his knowledge and experience to help them improve their magic skills. Although this required additional time and energy, he found that teaching was also a process of learning and growing.

His roommate Jack noticed Thomas's efforts and encouraged him, saying, "You did a good job, Thomas. I believe you will achieve your goal."

Thomas replied with a smile, "Thank you, Jack. I know it's not easy, but I will stick to it."

As time passed, Thomas earned a lot of money through performances and teaching. He began to be able to buy some basic magic equipment. Although they were not as expensive as those advanced equipments in the catalogue, they had a significant help in improving Thomas's magic ability.

His mood gradually became optimistic. He began to believe that as long as he continued to work hard, one day he would be able to own those advanced magic equipments. His mentality also became more mature and stable. He knew that true power not only came from equipment but also from inner perseverance and unremitting efforts.

By chance, Thomas heard an ancient legend. It was said that deep in the forest near the academy, there was a forgotten magic treasure. He decided to explore this legend and hoped to find some valuable magic equipment.

He took the necessary equipment and some basic food and embarked on an adventure alone. The depths of the forest were full of unknowns and dangers, but Thomas didn't back down. With his magic skills and wisdom, he overcame one difficulty after another.

Finally, he found the legendary treasure. There were indeed some ancient magic equipments there. He carefully selected some equipments suitable for his own use and then carefully returned to the academy.

When he returned to the academy, his friends were all happy for his success. They saw Thomas's efforts and growth. They knew that Thomas had become stronger and more confident.

Thomas's story spread in the academy. He became an example. With his experience, he told everyone that as long as there was determination and courage, nothing was impossible. He continued his magic practice and constantly improved his ability. He knew that his journey had just begun.
