The Tree of Life, responding to its desire, gave birth to two beings with human appearance. One was created from pure light, radiant and beautiful, while the other emerged from the deep darkness.
The dragon granted the first, born of light, majestic wings like those of a bird, so that it could ascend to the sky and fly by its side. It also gave the being a halo that would allow it to live eternally alongside the dragon.
Then it looked at the second, born of darkness. To this one, it gave two sharp, sturdy horns. It granted the being strength and power so that it could survive even in the most inhospitable places of nature.
That day, the angel became the dragon's faithful companion, soaring into the blue sky. It accompanied the dragon beneath the clouds, and together they formed the heavenly paradise.
Meanwhile, the demon remained as an inherent reminder of humanity. Living on the earth, it had to fight for its own survival in a cruel world.
In the darkness of the earth, the demons had to rely on their wildest instincts to adapt and survive. With their eyes, they were able to see in the absolute gloom of darkness. With their claws, sharp as blades, they could gut any animal. And with their teeth, they became fearsome predators—insatiable and violent.
They attacked any creature that crossed their path. Even with their own kind, there was no mercy.
Demons did not know what love was. Compassion and empathy were unknown to them. They knew how to procreate, but they ignored the responsibilities that came with it. They did not raise or protect their children, leaving each one to try and survive on its own.
Abandoning every trace of light in their hearts.
This absolute selfishness made the species inefficient. Mortality among them was so high that the only way to maintain their numbers was through constant procreation. Procreation was not an act of union or love, but of mere survival, an endless cycle of birth and death in which the demons barely managed to sustain themselves.
They were creatures from a decaying world, and although they still retained part of human reason, they had forsaken all sense of responsibility or community. What remained of their humanity was buried by their darkest instincts, and though they were rational and capable beings, their minds were distorted by the corruption and despair of survival.
While the demons lived under the law of the strongest, with their chaotic and selfish nature, the angels, in contrast, thrived quickly. Thanks to their inherent sense of cooperation and harmony, they united their forces and resources in no time, creating a radiant civilization in the sky, the paradise that the dragon had designed for them.
"Unlike the demons, the angels did not fight among themselves but formed strong and eternal bonds, uniting with a single partner for life. With their strong sense of family and bond, only one or two children were typically born, reflecting their purity and focus on quality over quantity. This lifestyle made their numbers small, but their organization and celestial environment made them more stable and prosperous.
Thus, in the heavens, everything seemed to go perfectly according to the dragon's plans. The angels lived in peace, and the demons survived in their own shadows, separated from the purity of paradise. However, the celestial harmony was interrupted the day an angel, driven by an inexplicable curiosity, decided to descend to Earth.
The angel was a woman as beautiful as flowers and as pure as water, with long silver hair and blue eyes that reflected the sky.
The woman descended from the heavens with her white wings. She walked across the dark earth, venturing into the depths of the forest, exploring what was until then new to her and filled her with fascination."
"Seeing all kinds of plants and animals. Traveling through all sorts of beautiful places full of life. She wondered why the angels had never visited Earth, given how beautiful it was.
However, that mystery would soon be solved.
In one of those shadowy places among the trees and underbrush, she encountered a demon, a dark creature. With short jet-black hair and dark eyes. The woman felt curiosity upon seeing, for the first time, a creature so similar to her in human appearance.
The demon, on the other hand, felt a mixture of fascination and hunger upon seeing her. His violent nature urged him to kill and devour what he didn't understand, and the presence of that woman, so radiant in the gloom, incited him to do so. He wanted to hunt his prey, but when the angel confidently approached him, he noticed her beauty and her smile. What surprised him most, however, was when she spoke to him with her voice.
His gluttony was drawn to the woman."
The demon, cunning and calculating, looked at her with sharp eyes and, with a voice full of deceit, told her that just behind her there was something wonderful, something she had to see. "It's a surprise," he said with a crooked smile, "but to enjoy it, you must close your eyes." The woman, trusting in the goodness of her own nature and unaware of the cruelty of demons, naively obeyed the demon's words. She closed her eyes and turned her back, expecting that what he promised would be as beautiful as she imagined.
It was then that demon slowly approached her. Step by step, he walked through the grass with his bare feet. Silently, with a slow step, he positioned himself behind her as he raised his arm. Then the demon ruthlessly pierced the angel's chest with his hand.
His sharp claws pierced the woman like a cold blade protruding from her chest, and her blood splattered across the ground. The red began to flow over the grass, filling its brightness with her blood and staining the earth at her feet.
The demon withdrew his hand from the angel's pierced chest. Immediately, the beautiful woman fell to the ground.
In absolute silence.
