Ashley had a dream. A very long dream that seemed never ending. And at a point, she thought she'd never wake up but then, the dreams ended, and she was in the darkness once more. It was so dark she could not even see her hands nor her feet.
Suddenly, there was a bright light. It was a light that seemed even more blinding than the darkness. Then, she felt herself falling.
"It's been days, why is she not waking up?"
"The hit to her head was almost fatal. She should be waking up in a few more days."
"It's all my fault. I should have taken better care of you."
"My daughter, I'm so sorry."
The voices rang in her head and Ashley could not help but feel somewhat infuriated. She was aware of her surroundings, but she felt trapped in her body. Her senses were alert, however, she could neither move nor speak. She could not even open her eyes.
