Chapter 23 - Paradise

Avice noticed the dark sky now illuminated by the red pillar. She ran as fast as she could to tell Amadeus. When she reached the top and saw him, she said, "Master, the sky is..." But before she could finish, the wave from Amadeus jumping stopped her.

Avice moved close to the edge and saw Amadeus running towards the red pillar. "Is he going to the red pillar? I just hope he will come back without getting hurt," she said.

Back to Amadeus, who came close to the source of the light. From afar, he saw the light coming from a ruined temple. "So it's coming from that place," he muttered.

Amadeus reached the temple, which was familiar to him since it was the same temple he was teleported to by Omega. "If I remember right, when I first came to this place, you said Omega owned this temple," Amadeus said, memories of the day he came to this world flashing in his mind.

As Amadeus walked toward the light source, he started to focus on the temple's interior, which was full of destroyed statues and torn books too damaged to be read. He stopped and touched a torn banner that had half a symbol on it.

He continued walking, finally reaching the source of the pillar of light. As he expected, it was the magic circle that brought him to this world.

"Now that I am here, tell me what this is," said Amadeus.

The Crown calmly replied, "Enter the light and you will understand."

Amadeus looked at the pillar of light for a few seconds, examining it, then moved closer. "I guess I have no other choice," he said as he stepped inside the red light pillar.

Once Amadeus entered, the pillar of light disappeared, and the sky returned to its normal state, with the magic circle losing its glow.

Inside the light, Amadeus felt like his body was being ripped apart, and he wanted to vomit. When the light disappeared, Amadeus fell to his knees, slowly regaining his balance.

When his head stopped spinning and his eyesight cleared, the first thing he saw was the platform with the same magic circle from the temple. When he looked up, he was amazed at what he saw and said, "Just where am I?"

What amazed Amadeus was the sight of a place with living trees, a ground full of flowers and grass—the opposite of the Dead region—and a big wooden house in the distance. While still investigating the place, he spotted a rabbit moving in the bushes—the first animal he had seen since being reborn as a god.

The sight of the rabbit reminded Amadeus of the day his family was killed because a rabbit was his final gift to his sister. "Just what am I doing, wasting time looking at trees and animals? Get yourself together," he said, annoyed, as he stood up.

"Crown, tell me where I am," said Amadeus.

"Why don't you look inside the house first?" the Crown suggested.

Amadeus, his patience nearly at its limit, headed toward the house that looked like a Viking leader's house. He opened the big wooden double doors that had an emblem on them. Inside, the house was separated into three floors. The ground floor had two big dinner tables decorated with banners with an emblem on them, a kitchen, and a place to store food. The upper floor had many rooms for people to stay in, each with beds and lockers.

Amadeus then moved to the underground floor, which had two sides. One was a long hallway with bigger and more luxurious rooms than those on the upper floor. At the end of the hallway was a door that led to stairs descending into an underground room with an emblem painted on its floor. The room was empty, but from the equipment like dummies and weapons, it was clear it was a training room.

Having explored the entire house, only the second part of the underground floor remained. It had a wooden door with beautiful engravings and an emblem on it. Inside was a large room with walls full of books and strange equipment scattered on the floor, and a desk in the middle.

Amadeus picked up a book, but it was blank. All the other books were also blank. When he tried to use one of the pieces of equipment, it turned to dust, symbolizing their old age. He moved to the desk, sat on the luxurious chair, and pointed at the desk with the emblem.

"The outside door, every door in this house, the banners in the dining room, the training room floor, the desk—they all have the same emblem, which resembles the one I saw on a torn banner in the ruined temple. Now, tell me, is this a coincidence?" Amadeus questioned the Crown.

"You already know the answer. That emblem is the symbol of the End and belongs to Omega, The God of the End," the Crown replied.

"And what is all this?" Amadeus asked, spreading his arms and looking around the room.

"A solution," the Crown replied warmly.

Amadeus stood silent for a bit, then said, "Tell me everything about this place, and don't leave out any details. After that, I'll decide if it's a solution or a waste of time."

The Crown began explaining. This place is a pocket realm that exists in the abyss. It was created by Alpha as a gift to his twin brother Omega when their relationship was still strong.

Omega cherished his brother's gift, so he placed it in a location where no one but him could access it—in the abyss. Since Omega represents the End, in which everything turns into nothingness, he had a strong bond with the Abyss that represents nothingness.

He used his power to place this pocket realm in the Abyss, where nothing could exist. No matter how strong a god is, they cannot reach this place, making it the safest location in all of existence.

"What about Alpha?" asked Amadeus.

"Even he cannot come here. Don't worry, even if he created this place, he has no control over it since it's in the Abyss," the Crown replied.

"And the house?" Amadeus asked.

"It was built by Omega's followers and served as a holy land where only the most devoted and strongest of his followers could enter. As for the design, Omega liked simple things," the Crown explained.

Amadeus stood up from the chair, walked through the door, and said, "I will see the outside, then I will decide."

Amadeus began running and jumping, maneuvering through the terrain. The place was warm, neither cold nor hot, with fertile ground good for farming. There were huge forests, mountains, and mines containing iron, gold, and other useful ores. He saw no monsters, even after using mana sense.

The place was full of animals like sheep, cows, and chickens. The trees were full of fruits, which he tasted. Then Amadeus noticed a big river flowing from a mountain. He stopped by it and plunged his head into the water.

After three minutes underwater, Amadeus pulled his head out, wiped the water from his face, and said, "The fruits were delicious, and the water was so clean and refreshing that I couldn't stop drinking."

"See, I told you this place is the solution," said the Crown proudly.

Amadeus replied coldly, "You said this place is a pocket realm. What's the difference between it and a normal one?"

"Keep going forward and you will find out," the Crown responded.

Amadeus continued for a few more minutes until he suddenly couldn't see any more land, as if a huge dark wall stood before him. Before he could get closer, the Crown screamed, "Stop, that's close enough."

"So that's what a pocket realm means. A normal realm has no specific end since you spin around, but this place is a flat piece of land floating in the middle of the Abyss," Amadeus understood.

"Correct," said the Crown.

"Then the water, the ores, the animals—where does all this stuff come from?" Amadeus asked.

The Crown explained that Alpha made this place special. When an animal dies, a new one will replace it. The water is endless, and the ores regenerate over time.

Amadeus stayed silent and began heading back to the magic circle. Once near it, he asked, "What about the magic circle? How do I use it, and what about the effect it gives?"

"All you have to do is think about activating it. As for the side effects, don't worry. That happened because the circle hadn't been used for a long time, but it won't happen again," the Crown assured.

Amadeus looked at the sky, which was now orange with the setting sun, and said, "So this place also has a cycle of day and night."

"And rain sometimes," the Crown added.

Amadeus smiled as he looked at the sunset. "This place is safe, has food and shelter—it's like a real paradise."

He activated the circle, and a pillar of red light emerged. As he stepped into it, he said, "Looks like we found our solution."
