The shielding around a sleek spacecraft vibrates violently. In the next moment, it accelerates to mind boggling speeds and pierces through a purplish vortex.
Saxcis leans back on his chair as the ship's auto control takes over. He watches as Godfrey paces in palpable worry and stands up to speak to him.
"Pacing won't make the ship go faster. We'll make it."
The young hero frowns and stops. He releases a shaky breath and clenches his fist as he stares outside the front window. Saxcis shrugs his shoulder as he sits down on his chair and waits for the warp to finish. Surprisingly, Godfrey speaks.
"I am sorry. For your arm."
Saxcis laughs and uses his stump to wave his concern away.
"Don't worry about it. I'm still alive, after all the things I've done. I'll take it."
Godfrey sits down on a chair and shakes his head as he sighs.
