"YOU HURT MY MOTHER! I do not forgive you."
Queen Elicia takes this time to speak up.
"Please, I'm alright. The both of you need not fight."
She turns to Godfrey and reassures him.
"I understand your anger, but please allow us to explain. The protectors were under some form of compulsion, and black fog surrounded their heads as black blood oozed from their orifices. It almost took control of me."
Godfrey hears this and goes to check the condition of the protectors. He notes that one of them has their elbows and knees completely pierced through. The others simply have bruises but otherwise seem unharmed. He confirms his suspicions with the queen.
"Did their compulsion end as soon as I escaped?"
Sylphaera answers in her mother's stead as the Queen bends over and heaves for air.
"Yes. Then you went and attacked my mother without a second thought. I thought you had changed. What happened?"
