After Linfei got crippled, he was still cultivating using pills but all its energy disappeared without improving his cultivation. But the pendant which he was wearing absorbed this energy, which he didn't find out. It has been been two years since this was happening.
Next day linfei travelled deep into the forest but along the way he saw corpses of humans .There must have been a battle recently so he became more careful while exploring.

The lotus has healing properties which can heal deep dark wounds. Excited, he wanted to collect the lotus when he went near the lotus two bright was seen by him and when it attacked, he clearly saw that it was an iguana with sharp teeth. He backed away from it and winged his knife, but it only produced sparks.as it hit its scale as it had hard scales.
He kicked the chin of the iguana, evading the bite which enraged it, but as its speed was slow, it could not keep up with life. And finally picked the lotus and ran away among the angry roar of the iguana.
He found a safe place and as he do not know alchemy, he directly started eating each lotus strand but when it reached his abdomen; it vanished but this time he found his pendant was vibrating and it started to feedback energy into his body.
