He then travelled deep in the lower layer of jungle where until now, and he didn't meet monsters with cultivation. He heard a roar and fighting sound from a distance. He went sneakily towards that location because in jungle fight between monsters occur when there is precious treasure.
When came near the fighting location, he saw a pack of wolves fighting a leopard. Although leopard was strong and there were wolves which were bitten and killed and they couldn't keep with leopard speed but as the fighting time was increasing, the consumption of energy in leopard was high and couldn't keep up with the wolves.
While the wolves were fighting, linfei sneaked inside the leopard cave and found that there were some plums with a sour smell sprouting out of a plant. It is the sour plum which helps a monk refine the flesh. He was happy but didn't pick it out because he found two wolves guarding near the plums. He strapped two arrows in the bow and aimed at wolves' head which were guarding.
When the arrows were released, it traversed and before the wolves could take action; it hit their heads, and the wolves fell down. Without wasting time, he picked the plums and moved away from that place to avoid the conflict.
Outside, a fatal blow was given to leopard by wolves by biting the neck and leopard was attacked from all sides and finally it succumbed to death. When the wolves went in, they only saw two dead wolves and no fruits. From a distance, only angry roars can be heard from the wolves, but they couldn't find the perpetrator who had moved fast away from that place.
