"Who is this man? What does he want?" She thought as She hiccuped
"What's going on here ?" Alex's eyes darted between Jasmine and the Mysterious man
"Madam, What is the matter? Alex faced Jasmine
"I will take over from here sir, the boards of directors are all seated" He said to the Man
Jasmine stood frozen as all the discussion being held in front of her sounded so distant like she was in a trance
"Don't worry about that, I am curious as well. They can wait, this.is.more.disturbing" The man said putting his other hand in his pocket
Jasmine swallowed hard, blinked twice as she wore her confidence
"I am sorry I mistook you for a stalker, I mean" jasmine finally spoke out as she avoided eye contact with the man. Alex's eyes started to dart faster between them
"Oh okay, we have to go now" Alex said to the man " Everyone is waiting" he added
"Why were you not at the cafe this morning" Alex questioned with his extreme serious face
"I got fired" she quickly said as she wasn't ready to miss her chance
The Man licked his deep nude shiny soft lips as he smirked "Let's go" he said to Alex. They both walked away as Alex walked behind the man ,Jasmine who stood still with her eye teary and blur, her legs shaking uncontrollably
Oh my God! What have I done? He ought to be upset
The man turned "Why are you still there? Come along"
Jasmine turn to them, on realizing he was talking to her, she sent her tears back to the gland, smiled without her dimples and walked hastily to catch up
Jasmine walked behind two strangers she has no clue of neither who they are or their names , into a room with a giant door, tagged "CEO office ", the room upon entering is a big as the whole of Brenda's Apartment. The interior is a blend of modern elegance and classic sophistication, rich leather. The walls are adorned with abstract art pieces and a few well-placed certificates of achievement, suggesting both creativity and authority.
They all walked past a luxurious black suede three seater, two independent one seater sofa and a center table that has a shiny golden trimmings at the edges, a sleek bar cart, stocked with high-end whiskey, crystal glasses, and an assortment of fine cigars, sits unobtrusively in the corner.
They all halted in front of a massive walnut desk with a glass top accompanied by a high-back leather executive chair that is placed right in front of The floor-to-ceiling windows that gave a panoramic view of the Edinburgh skyline. The man walked to the executive chair while Alex and Jasmine stood opposite in, Jasmine's eyes darted to the shinny name plate placed on the desk as it reads "ADRIAN M. MOSS CEO"
Her heart started to skip immediately as she choked on her saliva and started to hiccup uncontrollably and lost balanced but Alex caught her by her shoulders
"Are you okay ?" Alex said as he held her by her shoulders
She nodded as she tries to get her balance while still hiccuping
"Get her a bottle of water" Adrian said as he sat
Adrian moves his seat closer to the desk, placed his crossed hands on the desk as he smiled sexily with his tiny eyes dimming looking directing into Jasmine's. Jasmine's hiccup continued as she looked towards Alex who is coming with the bottle of water, she walked two steps to receive it
"Thank. You" Jasmine said as she drank the water slowly maintaining her composure
"Tell the Human Resource Manager to prepare an offer letter for her-" he nodded towards her
"For what role, Sir?" Alex asked as he started walking to the huge entrance
"A full time Personal Assistant"
Jasmine's andrelines started rushing abnormally that she started to sweat and her throat became patched, she drank more water
"For a gross per annum of forty two thousand pounds and other exclusive perks" he added
On hearing that, Jasmine immediately splashed the pool of water in her mouth out all over Adrian's face and desk , Alex turned his back to see what had happened but Adrian signaled to him to go
Alex walked out and shut the door behind him
"I am really sorry sir" She coughed as she immediately dropped her bag and document while picking some paper towel from the tissue box in front of Adrian as she walked hurriedly to Adrian.
She turned his seat to her direction as she bent to clean his wet shinny face. Cleaning his wet brows, her eyes finally met his sparkling seductive eyes, he gave her a smile with his eyes, she looked away, cleaning his face blindly with speed.
Through the drained paper towel, she felt his soft slippery lips, she paused and decided to take peak of it. Their eyes met again.
Adrain stared into her eyes as he remained concentrated like a optician looking for an eye problem , Jasmine as well couldnt resist the urge of looking away, his eyes were giving her an unexpected and inexperienced feelings she has never felt, like his eyes had charms, she felt numb.
Adrian stood and carried her on his desk while using her to move all the things on the table that are serving as obstacles.
At this point Jasmine couldn't control her body either could she control her heart,it was beating so fast and loud that she could hear it and was wondering where it was running to, Adrian stood right in front of her as he used his leg to push the chair away, leaned towards her as he placed his hand on the desk right by her sides
He stared for a while, smiled "if only you know how long I have wanted to see your face in closeup" he said softly
"you are beautiful " he added as he stroked few strands of her hair behind her ear
"I know" she cleared her throat
"You know I wanted to see you in close up?" He moved his head out of her face a bit in shock
"No. Not sure what that means… I meant i know I am beautiful" she gave him a quick look
"Woah! That's nice. I was tired of only getting to see your face briefly from over the counter" he leaned in more to her
"What do you want from me?" She gave him an intensed look
He completely moved out from her as he stood fully in front of her , giving her way to come down from the desk. She jumped down from her desk
"I need you to…" his phone's ringtone cuts in, Alex as the caller
"Her full name"Alex over the phone asked
"Jasmine Jenkins" Adrian replied
That's my name! Who is this man?
"Okay" Adrian responded as he ends the call
"How did you know my full name" She asked as her voice became shaking
"Calm down" he walked to her as she took a step back
" If I knew your full name, your presence won't be needed by the HR" he added as he drew her closer with his left hand by her waist, she blinked as she took a quick exhale
"I only got to know your names through what the tag read at Morning and Night" he said softly as his lips aimed for hers, he became irresistible,their lips finally met and for five minutes there was a deep meeting of them both, Jasmine's kept longing for it, opening and closing itself on Adrian's. It became so intensed that Jasmine's arms were about to wrap his neck when she finally realized she could control her body. She stopped and pushed him
She close her eyes for a second, brushed her curls backward, opened her eyes, licked her lips and bit her lower lips
"What do you want, Adrian?" She said in a soft serious tone
"I want you, Baby, I have always wanted you" he walked slowly to her
She took a step back, trying to digest all that just happened and she affirmed that a lot had happened in less than five minutes, a lot of which she can't recollect when last it happened. Not like she hasn't been in relationship once, she has had a long distance relationship that went so smooth and steady but she can't be precised why that ended " This is too fast" She raised her voice
"Let's give it time, to come naturally " she added as picked her document and bag from the floor, walked away leaving Adrian standing without looking back nor his response.
She walked in between the sofa as she sighted a single high-heeled shoe, out of place and slightly hidden between the center table and the three seater sofa
"Oh wow! This is interesting " she thought to herself with a smirk
