Xi Fang and Tian Wei emerged onto the highest level of Blood Prison, their footsteps echoing across the circular chamber. Moonlight poured through an opening in the domed ceiling, creating a perfect circle of silvery light that descended through a matching hole in the floor.
The chamber held an otherworldly stillness. Dark qi arrays lined the walls, pulsing with malevolent energy that made the air thick and heavy. At the center of the room, suspended in a sphere of shifting energy, floated an unconscious figure.
"There is so much power in this structure. Is this place truly a prison?" Xi Fang's voice carried a note of dread as they approached the floating form.
Tian Wei moved closer, his experienced eyes studying the qi patterns that held the figure aloft. The moonlight revealed more details with each step - white robes, now stained and tattered, draped over an aged but dignified frame.
