"Hello, I would like to file a complaint against Bai Qingshi," Bai Meiyue told the police officer who was in charge of writing complaints.
When the police officer heard Bai Meiyue's voice, he raised his head and looked at the woman standing in front of him with a polite expression.
"Please sit down and tell me your grievances," the police officer had long heard about all the good things that the Bai family had done against Bai Meiyue. Thus he was not only filled with hatred towards the Bai family but was also overly sympathetic towards Bai Meiyue.
Bai Meiyue nodded as she sat down on the chair before saying to the police officer, "Officer, I would like to file a complaint against my father. For the past twelve years, he had been taking my salaries from my bank without asking for my permission."
"I didn't make a big fuss over this as he is my father but…" Bai Meiyue lowered her head as a hint of sarcasm flashed in her eyes. Who would have thought the lessons she learnt from Bai Xue would come in handy at this moment?
"But after this, I don't think that I can hold on anymore. I don't want anything from him, but at least I would like to recover a bit of my own money."
She paused and added, "I would also like to file a complaint against Bai Xue and Su Hu for violating my privacy and ruining and smearing my reputation." Her voice was hoarse with hatred when she thought about how she couldn't kill those bastards yet.
The end of the world was still far away, and killing those beasts in human clothing would only prove fatal to her.
"Please do not worry," the police officer who was sitting opposite him thought, and Bai Meiyue was filled with grief. His tone became even softer as he helped Bai Meiyue with the case: "If you have enough evidence of the transferring of funds, then you can certainly file a complaint against your father, and we will do our best to recover the money that he has taken from you."
"But of course, we can only recover the money from the year when you turned fourteen as per the law."
"There is also the matter of your father being involved in doing illegal business; would you like to file a complaint for that as well?"
Bai Meiyue was annoyed when she heard that she would have to lose a chunk of her money, but after a slight pause, she calmed down.
Something was still better than nothing.
As for filing a complaint against her father for opening a skin business? Of course, she was going to!
However, she did not show the eagerness on her face. Instead, she hesitated before nodding, "He–he is my father and I truly never wanted such a thing to happen. But as a responsible citizen, I believe that it will be only right for me to file this complaint."
"What if he harms someone else? Today it was me. Who knows who will be harmed by him in the future? For the sake of saving the lives of innocent women, I can only take this step."
As she finished speaking she squeezed a few tears out of her eyes.
"Miss Bai, you don't need to worry about this kind of person. He is not worthy to be your father," said the police officers. "I will file your complaints and will make sure that this case is treated with the utmost care and responsibility."
What kind of era were they living in? And yet Bai Qinghsi thought that he would not face any consequences after selling his daughter? He must be dreaming.
"Well, thank you, officer. But if you don't mind, can you return the shares of the company to me first? The company was started with my money. I have the legal documents for the shares that should have been transferred to me ages ago but were not."
Bai Meiyue was in a hurry. The end of the world was not far, and she couldn't do anything without having enough money in her account. The first thing she needed was to get her hands on those forty per cent shares that her father had promised her in an attempt to cajole her into taking the money out.
However, he had not once transferred those shares to her and kept delaying the matter by telling her that there was no need for her to be in such a hurry.
Or sometimes he would get angry and yell at her for being greedy and not trusting her father.
And her stupid self would believe his foolish words!
The police officer felt even more sympathetic after hearing Bai Meiyue's words. What kind of bastard was Bai Qingshi? He started the company with the hard-earned money of his daughter and yet did not transfer the share that she deserved.
He immediately comforted Bai Meiyue, "Don't worry, Miss Bai. We will make sure to provide the justice that you deserve. As you have all the evidence, your father cannot deny the shares or the money that should have been given to you. Once the case is sent to the court, the shares as well as the money that was taken from you without your permission will be returned to you. Please just wait for a while."
"Sorry for troubling you, officer," Bai Meiyue sniffed as she dabbed her eyes with the handkerchief. "I have shown you a joke," she added with a soft and watery chuckle, which made not only the police officer who was filing her complaint feel sorry for her but even those who were eavesdropping on her conversation with the officer.
This was the effect that Bai Meiyue wanted.
Though the police officer in front of her did not have any power, the one who was sitting inside the cabin did! That woman had been paying attention to her every word from the second she stepped inside the police station.
Bai Meiyue was certain that with the woman backing her up, Bai Qingshi would have a really good time while locked up in this prison.
After filing the complaint, Bai Meiyue took her leave from the station.
