"Oh come on!"
Reed blinked, now knowing what a disembodied voice that sounded like every voice at once sounded like.
His opponent had seen the gun, and they didn't seem to have one of their own, which was the reason for their distress.
"Put that away! Fight me like a real man!" They shouted, and Reed regained his composure, and lifted the gun to aim at his adversary.
They did not like that, so with 13 seconds on the clock before the fight began, they tried to rush him.
Reed prepared to dodge, but stopped when they hit an invisible wall five metres away from where he was standing.
"Augh!" They fell on their back, and raised their left hand to their head.
Reed stared at his enemy, and a voice began to count down.
"10"
"9"
This seemed to snap them out of it.
"8"
"7"
They quickly scrambled to their feet, and faced him.
"6"
"5"
"4"
"3"
They raised their shield in front of them blocking out most of their body, as they prepared to charge.
"2"
"1"
Reed tensed his legs as he slightly crouched, aiming at his opponent.
"FIGHT!"
Bang!
Bang!
Reed quickly fired twice at them, but the shield blocked the bullets, while also suffering great damage, now bearing great dents where it got hit.
Reed leapt into the air, allowing them to run harmlessly below him, and stumble and fall, as the bullets had knocked them off balance.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Reed fired thrice in quick succession, causing them to cry out in pain, and then immediately vanish in a flash of blue light.

Reed looked at the panel, before turning his gaze towards the marks left by his bullets in the ground.
He quickly moved through the arena, putting holes into the ground every few metres.
Then he stopped, and began to use earth magic to create a few pillars and walls.
And finally, he walked to his original position, and put a few pitfalls where around the location where his opponent had appeared.
Then he prepared himself, and hit the button to start the next round.
Immediately, another person appeared, this one was holding what appeared to be a machine gun.
"3" The voice announced, and Reed swore mentally, as he began to channel his mana.
"Tough luck" His opponents voice came over, the same as that of his previous opponent.
"2"
"1"
Reed saw that they lifted the gun and aimed at him, and half a second before the voice announced the start, he moved, putting up a half a metre thick wall made of dirt and rock, and fortified with mana.
"FIGHT!"
Reed didn't hear the sounds of gunfire, in fact, he didn't hear anything.
'Do they have a noise cancelling abi-' His thoughts were cut short as he heard a grunt and the sound of falling.
He immediately left his cover and darted towards the pitfalls he had made, preparing a fireball.
His opponent had tried to gain some distance from the wall, to come from the side, and fallen into one of his traps.
He saw the open ground, and instead of looking into it, he just tossed his spell inside.
"HAAAAAUUUGH!" The scream was haunting, but Reed just quietly aimed his gun at the opening of the pit.
"HELP MEEEE!!!"
"AAAAHHHHH!!! AHH!!!"
The screams continued, and Reed felt a little bad about what he putting his opponent through.
'Better them than me.' He thought.
Then suddenly, there was silence, and the victory panel appeared.
[Round 2 complete!]
[00:59]
[Start next round]
Reed looked around at the holes he had left, his thoughts now forming a plan, as he started to move.
He covered the pit, making it a danger again, before starting to make the items required for his plan.
He pulled out some clothes, and some armour, and started to put the armour on the clothes.
'Too little time.' He thought, as he hurriedly put them back into the space and drew his pistol as the timer ticked to it's end.
"3"
The opponent this time was also holding a gun, a revolver, with a shield in their left arm, similar to him.
"2"
They mirrored each others stance, pistol aimed, with shield covering their vital parts, but Reed mind was running possibilities through his head, trying to find a way to increase his chances.
"1"
He arrived at a conclusion, and mana covered his shield as he ducked behind it and crouched.
"Fight!"
Reed launched himself at his opponent, who didn't fire because they didn't want to waste a bullet, and had also ducked into their shield.
That was a mistake, because they didn't see Reed barrelling towards them, and when Reed slammed in them with all the force he could muster, shield to shield, they were caught off-guard, and went flying a few metres back.
"Bhuagh!" Not used to pain, they were temporarily stunned.
They landed on their back, and tumbled backwards, while Reed had been slowed enough due to the impact that landed on his feet, and pivoted to face them, his pistol raising towards their body.
By the time they stopped moving, Reed had his gun lined up with their head, and he had no mercy for anyone today.
Bang!
Bang!
Before they could even understand what had happened to them, Reed let off two bullets, even though one would have been enough, but Reed didn't like taking chances, so the second one completely removed their head from their neck.
As soon as the body disappeared, Reed brought out the clothes and continued where he had left off, he had less than a minute, and he was going to squeeze every last second of the time he had to complete his plan.
He brought out a pair of gauntlets, and put on them on the empty sleeves of the shirt, using earth magic to connect them, as well as fill out the dress.
Now he was holding an armoured piece of clothing, covered with armour, and from the outside, it looked just like a person.
Reed put it away, and hit the button to start the next round.
