Chereads / I, The Celestial Dragon, Rule The Heavens Through The Double Gate / Chapter 27 - Rei Miyamoto and Shizuka's Shock!

Chapter 27 - Rei Miyamoto and Shizuka's Shock!

Villa Area

It used to be a place where rich people lived.

But after the apocalypse broke out, it was occupied by gangsters who, relying on their numbers and weapons stolen from authorities, ruled with an iron fist.

There are probably hundreds of them.

Now, Kaos' forces arrive.

The leader is a member of CP Organization.

There are ten people in total.

Two gangster guards with pistols stand at the villa gates.

Seeing Kaos' group, they immediately become vigilant and raise their guns.

"Stop! Don't get any closer, or I'll shoot you dead!"

Hearing this, the leading CP member waves his hand, signaling his men to stop.

The CP member responds indifferently, "No need to be nervous. We're here for an important matter. Please inform your boss; we wish to discuss something with him."

Hearing this, and perhaps intimidated by the uniforms of the soldiers behind him, the gangster hesitates but eventually nods.

"Alright, wait here. Don't come any closer. I'll inform the boss."

With a nod from the CP member, the gangster quickly runs off toward the villa area.

Five minutes later.

Dozens of men armed with pistols and submachine guns arrive, led by a burly man covered in tattoos.

This man is clearly the boss here, the one who controls the villa area.

Hearing a report that someone suspected to be from the government had shown up, he didn't dare to be careless, bringing his men with him to the gate.

Seeing just ten people outside, the boss relaxes slightly.

Only ten people?

He'd thought an army was coming.

For a moment, he had been scared out of his mind.

He calms himself and asks, "Hey, who are you, and what do you want?"

The CP member looks at him calmly. "We have a proposal to discuss."

The boss's patience is thin. "If you've got something to say, say it quick. Don't waste my time."

Despite the rudeness, no one from the group shows anger.

The CP member replies lightly, "It's simple. Leave this place, join our camp, and become part of our group."

"What? Are you joking?"

The boss freezes momentarily, then bursts into laughter. Raising his gun, he sneers, "The apocalypse has finally come, and I'm doing just fine here. Why the hell should I join your camp?

"If you weren't wearing uniforms, I'd have shot you already."

"Get lost!"

"So, you're refusing?"

"That's right. And what if I am?"

Hearing this, the CP member nods slightly. Without another word, he gives the order:

"By Kaos' command, any leader who refuses our offer will be executed. The rest will be taken into custody.

"Move out!"

As soon as the words leave his mouth—

Whoosh.

Whoosh.

Whoosh!

The CP members vanish from their spots.

This sudden disappearance makes everyone in the villa area freeze in shock.

"What the hell? Where'd they go?"

"Boss—behind you!"

Hearing his subordinate's warning, the boss instinctively turns around.

The CP member, who had vanished earlier, now stands behind him.

A sense of dread washes over him.

Just as he opens his mouth to speak—

The CP member strikes with a single finger.

"Finger Pistol!"

The cold voice of the technique is the last thing the boss hears.

A sharp pain follows as his head explodes from the force.

The massacre begins.

Similar scenes of action unfold throughout the city.

Meanwhile, Kaos is making his way toward another survivor base.

His target is Saya Takagi's home.

Kaos isn't particularly interested in her parents or family.

But having recently eaten an Angel Fruit, he's eager to test his new abilities.

Accompanying Kaos are Saya Takagi, Saeko Busujima, Rei Miyamoto, and Shizuka Marikawa.

In addition to them are Zero and Stussy.

As for why Rei and Shizuka are with them—

It was Stussy's doing. She insisted that these two women had potential worth training.

Kaos doesn't question her reasoning and leaves it at that.

On the Road

The group encounters hordes of zombies.

With their low groans and growls, hundreds of them swarm from all directions.

Saeko Busujima steps forward and asks, "Your Highness, may I handle this?"

Kaos raises an eyebrow. "You want to test your strength?"

Saeko nods. "Yes."

"Go ahead," he replies, casually watching.

Drawing a dagger from her waist—a weapon gifted to her the night before—Saeko faces the zombies. Her expression remains calm, her eyes betraying a spark of excitement.

Rei Miyamoto, standing behind her, grabs Saya's arm and whispers, "Is she insane? Facing that many zombies alone?"

Saya, annoyed, retorts, "Insane? Just watch. She's got an advantage now."

"What do you mean?" Rei asks, puzzled.

Saya offers no explanation.

Moments later, her eyes widen in shock.

As the zombies close in, Saeko swings her blade, releasing a wave of blue energy.

The ground ices over where the energy flows, freezing the zombies solid.

Crack.

Crack.

The frozen zombies shatter.

Rei's jaw drops. "How is this possible?!"

Even Shizuka gasps, covering her mouth. "Amazing!"

Saya crosses her arms, her expression sour. "I told you, she gained a lot."

Rei remains stunned.

Her thoughts drift to what Stussy had said to her and Shizuka the day before.

Stussy had made the same offer to Rei and Shizuka as she had to Saya and Saeko.

But the two had refused.

Now, seeing Saeko's newfound power, Rei feels a pang of envy and regret.

Power like this would be invaluable in the apocalypse.

Noticing Rei's expression, Stussy smirks knowingly.

This moment was what she had been waiting for.

She knew she didn't need to force anything.

Rei and Shizuka would come to Kaos of their own accord—sooner or later.

Stussy imagines how pleased Kaos will be with her efforts.

Her gaze softens as she watches Kaos from afar, her thoughts brimming with admiration.
