"Ouch" she yelled as she fell.
'must have broken a rib' she thought painfully.
A sword appeared before her aimed at her heart. She looked at the wielder and smiled. It was her trainer, Kura, a handsome blond with eyes that shone emerald green. He held out a hand and she took it boldly. He raised her up with a smile.
' so close' she thought then jerked away from him as she saw blood tickle down his arm; where she had just held Him.
"Oh no I'm so sorry" she apologized.
" It's just a scratch" he said. It was, but it pained like hell. She looked remorseful.
"Empathy and sympathy should be reduced if you want to be a very strong fighter" he advised her wondering how sharp her nails were to cut through gloves.
Kindra wondered if she was on his bad side now.
He left saying something about checking the other trainees. She sighed looking at her gloves- they were torn at the tip revealing her claws-like nails.
The rest of the day past without her interest.
Kindra slammed the door after coming in.
"I'm home!!" She called out.
"Is mother home??" She asked as soon as Tema emerged from the room, her face filled with smiles.
" No Lil sister, only I" replied Tema,then she added," How is Kura??"
Kindra nodded," He's still the best fighter, he's smart, skillful handsome and-" she paused grabbing a filled plate. Tema hated the suspense.
"And?!" She asked anxiously- Kura was once her lover and well, to her, he still is, although they were apart.
"And single" Kindra said. Tema breathed,then smiled, " I'm starting tomorrow"
"What?"
" Training!" Tema said dreamily. Kindra rolled her eyes.
" You're too fragile" she objected, Tema feigned fury, her cheeks turning red.
" I am not fragile!!"
" Sorry" " But think of that smooth skin being slashed open at practice, I can heal you can't"
Tema's face turned pale at the thought but then a smile crept into her face as thought of Kura examining her wound and placing a kiss on it.
Kindra gave up.
Tema looked at Kindra, who was wolfing down her meal like a starved animal.
"Ridiculous,you eat like an animal" she snapped with disgust.
Kindra raised her bare hand showing her sharp Lethal claws. "I'm an animal"
Tema shook her head.
" Kura is the father of my unborn child"
She was daydreaming like always,
" You're pregnant?" Kindra liked to humor her.
" I speak of the future"
"Haa!" Kindra replied sarcastically.
Tema ignored the comment.
' for a twenty-five years old, Tema thought like a child'
" We'll have three-" "Did I mention I scratched Kura??"
