The Abyss
an ever-present void beneath Drakara, stretching endlessly in all directions. It is a realm of chaos, filled with ancient and forgotten magic. Many have tried to explore its depths, but few return. Dark creatures—known as Abyssal Beasts—dwell here, twisted by eons of exposure to the Abyss's corrupting power. These beasts frequently rise to attack the surface, forcing the various kingdoms to unite in defense.
And it's crazy because I just so happen to be-
'Born here'
-Drakara:The Eternal Abyss-
I could say I was like anybody else.
Worked a good paying job as a production worker. I was a father with two handsome sons. I took care of my responsibilities and loved Jesus and my family more than anything.
The truth is, I was only 22 years young. So I had to adjust to a lot of things on my own, especially since I didn't have a biological father in my life. I had to grow up and learn how to be a man.
But it's just some things even life doesn't prepare you for-

Dark brown eyes snapped open as a young man woke with ragged breaths, taking in his unfamiliar surroundings.
[Welcome Player 'Key'!]
"Huh? Where the fuck am I?!" The now named Key yelled, scrambling to his feet. His gaze darted around, desperate to make sense of his surroundings, but there was nothing familiar.
[Unfortunately you have died in..unknown circumstances, but now have been reincarnated in the world of Drakara: The Eternal Abyss!]
"I..could careless about this! Send me back now!! My babies..they need me!!" Key's voice cracked with desperation, the weight of his plea heavy in the air.
[..My apologies Player Key. That request is impossible to fulfill.]
Key collapsed to his knees. He didn't want to, but the tears came anyway, rolling down his face despite the burning in his chest.
"Please..they need me.." he whispered brokenly, his hands trembling as they covered his face.
[Gamers Mind LV.1 has been activated.]
The tears abruptly stopped. A sudden wave of calm washed over him, numbing the raw emotion. He blinked, trying to remember why he was crying in the first place. The overwhelming pain just… vanished.
He slowly stood and sat back on the bed where he had woken up.
"I feel..relaxed." He muttered as he released deep breaths. Felt like he took an edible and it hit 100 times more than it was supposed to.
[Great to know Player Key! Would you like to continue?]
"Shit..go ahead." he replied, leaning back on his hands, still trying to wrap his head around the absurdity of what was happening.
[As previously mentioned, you are now in the world of Drakara: The Eternal Abyss and therefore will be given a skill between SSS (The Highest) and F (The lowest) to aid you in your journey!]
[Choosing skill..]
While he waited, Key began thinking..actually thinking about what the hell was happening right now.
"Wait..did I get isekaid into some fantasy world like those anime I used to watch? This must be a good ass dream..yeah definitely." He said with a small chuckle.
[Complete!]
[SSS skill 'Abyssal Ascension: Wrath of the Void LV.1' has been acquired!]
[Description] This skill allows the user to tap directly into the raw, chaotic power of the Abyss, ascending to a state where they wield the destructive forces that exist within the deepest levels of the Abyss itself. The skill grants the ability to manipulate reality, unleash devastating attacks, and bend the dark energy of the Abyss to their will. It is feared even by gods, as the uncontrolled chaos of the Abyss can erase existence.
[Effects]
[Void Manipulation] The user gains complete control over Abyssal energy, able to conjure massive void storms, summon tendrils of darkness to destroy or imprison enemies, and rip apart the fabric of reality itself, creating fissures that lead to the Void.

"Well better triple S than F. At least I'm not some weak ass Yamcha like character. Plus it's actually in-"
A door creaked open, interrupting his thoughts.
[Passive Skill 'Analysis LV.1' has been activated.]
Name: Nythra, the Forsaken Light
Title: Former Goddess of Radiance and Hope
Level is too low for further analysis.
Key blinked, his gaze landing on the figure entering the room. Now, he'd seen beautiful women before, but this… this was something else. Nythra was like a goddess carved from marble, with light gray skin, long black hair, and eyes that glowed with a dim, eerie gold. She wore tarnished gold armor etched with ancient runes, her cloak trailing like smoke behind her, all of it cracked and worn like a relic from a forgotten age. She also had tattered and dark gold wings.
'I wonder what it meant by former Goddess?' Key thought, stopping his observation on her beauty and focusing on more pressing matters.
Nythra, meanwhile, had frozen, her golden eyes widening as she stared at him, seemingly shocked.
'His Abyssal Energy..it's immense..' A surprised Nythra thought, her heart racing as she stared at the man she found randomly outside of her hideout. She wondered why she didn't sense this before..
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." he teased with a chuckle, snapping her out of her daze.
"Oh! I'm sorry! Didn't mean to stare.." She stammered, a blush creeping on her cheeks.
"It's all good. What's your name? Name's Key." He stood up and held out his hand to her in greeting.
He himself was about 6 ft and Nythra was slightly shorter than him.
Nythra hesitated for a moment, before smiling slightly and shaking his hand. "Nythra."
"So, Nythra," Key began, his voice softening, "if you don't mind me asking… where exactly are we?"
The smile immediately fell from her face, her golden eyes dimming further.
"This… is the Abyss."
Key paused, the weight of her words settling in. He remembered receiving a triple S-class skill related to the Abyss, but what exactly was it?
"So, what's the Abyss? And how did you end up here?" Key asked, his curiosity piqued as he leaned in.
Nythra's expression darkened as she moved to sit on the bed. "Sit down… this is going to be a long story."
Key nodded and took a seat beside her, eager to listen.
"The Abyss… it's a realm of endless void. A place where reality bends, breaks, and becomes something unrecognizable. It's filled with power, yes, but that power… it corrupts. Twists everything it touches—beasts, people, even gods."
Key remained quiet, his focus entirely on her words.
"I was once a revered goddess of the Celestial Peaks—"
Key, unable to contain his curiosity, interrupted. "My bad for interrupting, but Celestial Peaks? What's that?"
Nythra sighed softly but didn't seem irritated. "Oh, right… you probably don't remember much. Let me explain."
She raised her hand, a golden-black power swirling around her fingertips as she spoke. "In Drakara: The Eternal Abyss, the world is structured around levels, from the sky above to the deepest parts of the Abyss. The gods rule at the top, indifferent to the suffering below, while the lowest levels… well, that's where you find the chaos."
She continued, her voice taking on a somber tone. "The Abyss is divided into ranks, each more dangerous than the last. At the highest levels, gods reign, but down here, in the deepest parts, creatures barely recognizable as living things crawl through the darkness. It's a place where the air itself corrupts."
Nythra paused for a moment, glancing at Key, who seemed absorbed in every word.
"I defied the gods once," she admitted, her voice bitter. "I saw the suffering in the Abyss and wanted to save the souls trapped there. For that, they branded me a traitor, stripping me of my rank and casting me into this endless void."
Key's eyes narrowed slightly. "So, the gods… they just cast you down because you wanted to help?"
She nodded. "They don't care about the struggles below them. To them, the Abyss is a punishment, a place to send the unworthy. And now… I'm stuck here, along with the very souls I once tried to save."
Key clenched his fists, a mixture of anger and sympathy swirling inside him. "That's fucked up."
It seemed there were always assholes in worlds like this. Crazy.
Nythra chuckled softly, though it was void of warmth. "You're not wrong. But this is the world we live in, and now… we have to survive it."
Key leaned back, his mind racing with the new knowledge. "Welp sounds like I'm about to do a little Solo Leveling real soon.."
Nythra's head tilted in confusion. "Solo..what?"
"Don't worry about it." Key replied with a chuckle. 'Shoutout Jin Woo' he thought.
