Breathing heavily after all the exertion, his muscles burn with a fierceness even worse than yesterday. To make matters worse, he still has to go to the mines afterward, leaving him with little chance to rest during this break.
Leaning against the wall for support, he slides down until he plops onto the snow, exhaling a long sigh of relief as the cold seeps through his clothes, offering a moment of respite from the heat of his fatigue.
"You did a great job, I see you made it to level two." Cinder says, dropping onto the floor next to him.
Really? I haven't checked.
Suddenly, the items materialize and float gently down to his lap. As expected, he receives everything—well, everything except the skill points, which remain in the system, waiting for him to distribute them to his current stats.
A pouch containing five coins lands softly beside him, along with a mana potion that gleams slightly in the sun's rays as the snowfall finally comes to a stop.
I got it all, great.
Flipping the potion cap up he puts it into his mouth and drinks it down, but shockingly it had no taste just the potion before.
[Mana: 1/40]
[Mana: 10/ 40]
[Mana: 20/40]
Then it stops going up and remains in half.
So it doesn't fill it up, only half way.
Shaking his head to dispel any lingering exhaustion, he opens the pouch and tosses the coins onto his lips. Glancing around to ensure no one is watching—though he knows he's alone, as his front door faces away from the street.
Putting the coins on the floor, he places the porch on his lap, exhaling all his worries as he closes his eyes. "Picture your core." He repeats once said to him by someone. "Feel it's beating and the rate as it pulses magic throughout your body."
He feels it—the quiet pulse, the subtle vibration coursing through the object, each rhythm forming a distinct pattern. A soft blue energy wraps around the pouch, making it disappear. For a moment, nothing happens. Then, with a flicker of light, it reappears, forming an identical one right next to it.
To create a duplicate the real one has to be destroyed for the next one to come, which lowers its material and potency, making them both a dupe and lower quality than the first one.
While there is a limit to the stuff I can duplicate, I should be able to duplicate potions though it wouldn't be as effective as the real one.
[Mana: 15/40]
So only five percent of mana was used unless it goes up if the thing to copy is much more complex than a cotton pouch., which is just one material.
"Oh my." Cinder's mind swirls while listening to him. "You overthink too much! I hate being in your mind sometimes!" Cinder screeches while covering his ears.
Sorry, I guess it's a habit concerning magic usage, I gained that from my mentor in my first life.
"I get it, calm down!" He heaves a sigh.
Okay, I'll try to refrain from doing it too much.
He chuckles a bit.
[Level 1 → 2]
[distribution points: 5]
He always knew what he was going to do with them.
Put one in each one of them. Since I gained a point for agility while running, it should bump it up to 4.
[Attack: 6]
[Agility:4]
[Defenses: 6]
[Intelligence: 22]
[Luck: 5]
I was correct, and my body even feels a bit lighter too.
He squeezes his finger, noticing that his body feels a bit lighter.
"Brother?" Anore opens the door, and comes outside, sitting next to him. "What are you doing outside?" She looks up at him.
"I'm working out." He says as he touches his muscles.
"Oh…" Her face fidgets as if she is trying to hold back a laugh. "You're trying." She bursts out laughing and Legion stays quiet, embarrassed that his little sister is laughing at him.
"Yes, I am." He says proudly trying to mask his embarrassment, as the door opens again and Avix comes out rubbing the sleepiness out of his eyes.
"What are you guys doing out here?" He questions.
"Legion was working out." Anore says in between giggles, and Avix immediately joins, as he takes a seat on the other side of Legion.
Legion buries his face into his hand, but then he feels their hands creasing his head gently. "Good job big brother." They both say joyfully.
Good job. It's been a while since I heard those words. Weird it still has this effect on me.
He feels the same accomplished feeling as before.

Then the time came where he has to go to work. This time, as he walks down the winding tunnels after stepping down from the late cobblestone stairs, Blaise isn't at the entrance like usual.
I guess he really was offended by what I said.
As he walks further, something caught his eye—a piece of paper lying on the floor where Blaise usually stands. Curious, he bends down, picking it up and reading it aloud to himself. "Had to work for Morgan today, so I won't be making it in. How about I meet you at Noctis?"
Meet at Noctis? Does he know I was already planning on going there?
He pauses, frowning slightly.
Even so… what does he want?
Whatever it is I can't ignore him, this might be the only time I prove to him what I'm saying is true since I have my magic, but the monster part might have to hold off until later on.
Plus I was always gonna go there anyways.
With the note tucked away in his pocket, he heads toward the mines, shaking off his thoughts about Blaise for now. The cold air down there feels heavy, mixed with dust and the echoes of distant tools clanging against stone. The dim glow of torches flickers along the walls as he enters. Sighing he tightens grip on his pickaxe and moves deeper into the tunnels.
Stopping by a clearing he begins his work like all the others, in silence, while Cinder sits obediently by his side.

The time comes and home he goes, this time for some reason he didn't feel the same effect as yesterday while he was still getting accustomed to the body and its limitations and eventually he finds himself back on route to the potion store.
"Have you heard?" A woman whispers to another while walking past him.
"Hear what?" The other askes.
"The boy who lost his mother has seemingly lost his mind, he won't move or talk to anyone, they found him in the village square in the morning laying in the snow and carried him back home." She explains.
Legion hears everything and he couldn't believe his ears. He seemed fine just yesterday so what happened?
