Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

After the incident, Haruto headed straight for Konoha Hospital.

He was deeply concerned about Inuzuka Akihiro's safety.

Fortunately, Akihiro wasn't severely injured, but she was very weak, having spent over five hours in labor before delivering their child safely.

As Haruto entered the ward, Akihiro looked up anxiously. "Haruto! I heard someone tried to kill you while I was giving birth. Are you okay? Let me check if you're hurt..."

Haruto smiled, walking to her bedside and reassuring her, "Hehe, I'm fine, aren't I? What matters is that you're safe. The doctor said you exhausted yourself during the delivery. Don't worry, just rest..."

Seeing that Haruto was unharmed, Akihiro sighed in relief. "Who would want to kill you? Did you find out? How dare someone attack my husband within the village! When I recover, I'll definitely avenge you!"

Haruto chuckled. "Didn't I say not to get excited? Just focus on resting. I've already taken care of it. It was Danzo."

"What?" Akihiro's pale lips parted in shock. Even in her weakened state, she couldn't hide her surprise. "Why would that old man Danzo want to kill you? Wait... that doesn't make sense."

Realizing something was off, she looked at Haruto, knowing Danzo's reputation. If Danzo had truly tried to kill Haruto, he wouldn't be standing there alive.

Haruto gently kissed Akihiro on the forehead and explained everything that had happened, including the secret behind Danzo's arm full of Sharingan.

Akihiro sat there stunned, processing what she had just heard. Though she knew Danzo wasn't a good person, she hadn't expected him to have committed such atrocities against the Uchiha clan.

Now married into the Uchiha family, a fierce hatred began to grow in Akihiro's heart.

But more than that, she was astonished by Haruto's strength.

"Husband, you're so powerful..." Akihiro said, her admiration clear. She didn't blame Haruto for keeping his strength hidden—she understood he did it out of necessity.

"I, Inuzuka Akihiro—no, Uchiha Akihiro—definitely didn't marry the wrong person..." she murmured with a smile.

With this revelation, she knew the Inuzuka clan wouldn't fault her for marrying Haruto anymore.

Haruto grinned mischievously, leaning close to Akihiro's ear and whispering, "Of course. Haven't I always been powerful? Hmm?"

Akihiro's cheeks turned red instantly. Since becoming pregnant, she and Haruto hadn't been physically close, and his teasing was almost too much for her.

Unable to resist any longer, Akihiro blurted, "Help me up! I'm still fine!"

"Eh?"

...

A minute later...

Haruto was at the hospital doors, having "escaped" the situation. Though he wanted to stay with Akihiro, his last shred of reason told him it wasn't right—her body couldn't handle it just yet.

"Akihiro, don't be mad at me… I'm only doing this for your sake."

He sighed, feeling frustrated. "I need to cool down. Tsk, whose name should I pick tonight?"

It had been a while since Haruto had taken in anyone new. Of the thousands of wives and concubines he had, most were either recovering from childbirth or pregnant, leaving him with very few options.

"It seems I should go back to my old ways—show off my charm in public again, or else I might be out of luck."

Determined, Haruto headed toward the most bustling street in the village, ready to find someone new. But as he walked, something felt off.

"What the hell is going on?"

The streets were filled with men, not a single woman in sight. Their eyes followed Haruto, either filled with admiration or jealousy, but there wasn't a hint of the usual feminine presence. This street, typically brimming with young women shopping and eating snacks, was eerily devoid of them.

"Damn it, this sucks," Haruto muttered under his breath, feeling uncomfortable under the gaze of so many men.

"Forget it, I'll just head home. I need sleep anyway. Haven't slept all night."

Feeling defeated, he turned back toward the Uchiha compound.

...

As he neared the gates of his clan's compound, Haruto noticed a large crowd of people.

"Damn!" His heart raced, assuming Danzo's remnants or supporters had come to retaliate. His Sharingan flared to life, ready to defend his home and family.

But as he got closer, Haruto was taken aback.

The crowd was entirely made up of women.

"Wait… are they all here for me?"

Realization dawned on him. These women had come for interviews to join his ever-growing household.

What caught his attention the most, though, was a familiar, graceful figure among them.

Curly black hair, seductive red lips, long legs, and a black fishnet top barely covering her chest...

"Yuhi Kurenai?" Haruto was stunned.

She had come to line up, too?
