Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

Everyone knows about the beauty of Yuhi Kurenai. She's like a flower among the jonin in Konoha Village—fair-skinned and graceful.

Who wouldn't be tempted by the allure of her mummy-like uniform? Just imagining unwrapping those white cloth strips one by one made me excited.

Most importantly, her strength is impressive, and at 22 years old, she's in her prime. If I were to have a child with her, our offspring would definitely be SSS-level!

"One child a year, one SSS-level child each year…"

Haruto was so thrilled by the thought that he could hardly contain himself.

Originally, he had planned to wait before pursuing some of the higher-ranking kunoichi, but Kurenai's arrival seemed like fate delivering her straight to him.

There was no reason to refuse her now. He needed to make his move as soon as possible. The sooner, the better.

Haruto strode quickly toward the group of women, intent on approaching Kurenai.

"Yuhi Kurenai!!"

Before he could speak, a deep, angry voice called out her name from a distance.

It was Asuma Sarutobi, her childhood friend and long-time admirer.

The bustling crowd suddenly fell silent, all eyes turning to the so-called "young couple."

"Kurenai, I can't believe you actually came here! You've disappointed me!" Asuma shouted, grabbing her wrist roughly, attempting to drag her away.

"Asuma! Let go of me!" Kurenai protested, trying to pull free. "You said you didn't want me! So why do you care now?"

"You were once my girlfriend. Coming here to join a concubine interview—how humiliating is that for me, Asuma Sarutobi? I wouldn't care if you married someone else, but if it's Haruto Uchiha, absolutely not! Over my dead body!"

Kurenai's heart sank. She had hoped that Asuma would fight for her, but his words hurt deeply.

---

That morning, after Haruto's tense encounter with Danzo, Asuma had grown jealous and upset over the way Kurenai had looked at Haruto.

He was angry, and their argument became explosive.

"You stared at Haruto like that in front of so many fellow ninja! How do you expect me to save face?"

"Asuma, you misunderstood me! It wasn't like that at all..."

"Do you realize how much you've embarrassed me today?"

"Asuma, please, I—"

No matter how much Kurenai tried to explain, Asuma remained convinced that she had "emotionally cheated" on him.

As the son of the Hokage, and raised in a male-dominated environment, Asuma had been taught that a man's pride and face were of utmost importance.

The argument raged on.

In a fit of rage, Asuma blurted, "Leave! I don't want you anymore! Go to that stud Haruto Uchiha if you want! As the Hokage's son, I don't need to be concerned about women—there are plenty of high-quality women who would marry me! I don't need someone like you!"

These were words spoken in anger. Deep down, Asuma still loved Kurenai, but jealousy had clouded his mind.

Hearing this, Kurenai was heartbroken.

In this era, where strength is everything, it's only natural to admire those who are strong. Yet, Asuma didn't believe her, and she was too exhausted to keep explaining. Fighting back tears, she walked away.

Asuma didn't follow her.

He thought she would return.

Kurenai, on the other hand, believed Asuma would chase after her and apologize for what he had said.

Sadly, neither of them turned back.

Asuma refused to swallow his pride, and Kurenai walked away, her heart shattered.

At the intersection, Kurenai stopped and looked back, hoping to see Asuma running after her.

But all she saw was his back, heading in the opposite direction.

In that moment, her last hopes died.

And like many couples today, they "broke" because of pride.

---

Back at the entrance of the Uchiha clan, Asuma and Kurenai continued their argument.

The crowd watched in silence, too afraid to intervene.

"Asuma, let me go! Go and save your face elsewhere!"

"Kurenai, you don't care about your boyfriend's reputation! What kind of woman are you? Get out of here and stop humiliating yourself!"

"Stop! Asuma, let her go!"

Haruto Uchiha had arrived.

His expression was cold and stern, making his already handsome face seem even more intense.

"Wow! It's Haruto!!"

The surrounding women gasped in excitement, their eyes turning into heart shapes. "Haruto, I want to have your baby! Please, look at me!"

Haruto waved dismissively. "Calm yourselves. This is the Uchiha clan's territory. Let me deal with this man who doesn't belong here first."

His gaze turned to Sarutobi Asuma.

In the original story, Asuma had been known for his stubborn temper and rebellious nature toward his father, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Now, Haruto was witnessing it firsthand.

"Asuma, women are meant to be treated kindly, not yelled at. Can't you see Kurenai is crying?"

"Haruto Uchiha!" Asuma's eyes blazed with fury.

He felt that Haruto was the source of all his problems with Kurenai.

"You dare to seduce my woman! You must have used some illusion on her—that's why she's so obsessed with you, you... breeding machine!"

"Hey, hey, hey! Where's your proof when you make such accusations?"

"Proof? You've married so many women and have been involved in so many affairs. It's only fair to call you a breeding machine, isn't it?"

"Who said I wasn't? I proudly accept the title of breeding machine! It's a testament to my strength and abilities as a man. And it only strengthens my resolve to rebuild the Uchiha clan. But, Asuma, I never seduced Kurenai, nor did I use any illusion on her. I've been too busy to even think about it."

This was the truth—Haruto had never tried to seduce Kurenai. He hadn't had the time.

Asuma sneered in contempt. "You're proud of being called a breeding machine? You're an embarrassment to men."

"Why would that be embarrassing?" Haruto asked, confused. "As a man, you should own up to what's true. But never admit to something you didn't do. Otherwise, you'll live a hypocritical life, just like your father… Oh, never mind, you'll understand someday."

"Haruto! Are you trying to lecture me? Don't think that just because you've awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan, you can do whatever you want. Today, I'm going to teach you a lesson!"
