It had been days already since that encounter but each time I think about it, I become furious with myself for being so careless.
What was I thinking then? — This question kept ringing in my head almost every minute.
Because of this, I always found a way to avoid him as I couldn't bear staring back in his eyes for whatever reason.
Once I get over this, I'm going to be conscious of myself to avoid a repeat.
Foremost, I had no romantic business with men anymore, not after what Lance did to me.
And secondly, I'm not supposed to be close to the Allerick's.
But the latter was daunting because I lived with Nevian and recently, Lance was always making contact with me.
Lost in thoughts, I had no idea Tiara was in my office until she touched my arm, jolting me back to consciousness.
"Are you alright?" Her tone was mild and carried a bit of worry in it.
