Chapter 8 - Ch.8 Two Areas

As he enjoyed the beautiful scene, a sense of danger flooded his mind. Having fought for more than twenty-five days, he could now be considered a seasoned fighter.

His body instantly moved as a fireball passed by the place he was a moment ago. Looking in the direction where the fireball came from, a large fox was standing proudly.

In one of the large groups of stones that made a bridge through both sides, it stood proudly looking at the human in front of it with disdain in its eyes.

But that didn't last long as an arrow pierced through its head killing it in an instant. Its body fell on the big rock as the group of foxes behind it tensed their body.

"Fu#king ruined my moment."

Nexus complained loudly as he started to rush toward the stone bridge, his hands fired more arrows in quick succession as each arrow reaped a life.

Tens of fireballs fell on him but with superhuman speed, he dodged, staring at the remaining group of foxes he put his bow on his back.

His arrow had run out, seeing this the foxes showed a vicious grin as they started to rush toward him with bloodthirsty eyes.

Getting down the stone they rushed toward him, Nexus didn't cower seeing this but had a smile on his face.

"Big mistake Pal.."

He muttered as he took out the large spear from his back, gripping it tightly to his muscles roared as he burst out with greater strength.

With a single swing of his spear, the head of one of the foxes was split into two, seeing their companion die the remaining four foxes opened their mouth and fired their fireball.

As he was so close to them Nexus wasn't able to dodge, so he used the leather armor as a blanket and blanket the fireball.

His battle suit also glowed a blue color as it protected him from the heat, seeing their opponent get hit, the foxes even though they were tired gave a spirited howl.

Swiss!

In an instant, a spear swiped by as three heads were separated from their body, and the last fox had a spear pierced through its neck.

"These foxes are truly harder to hunt than those rats and vipers."

Although Nexus complained he didn't look exhausted, in fact throughout this entire fight he didn't even sweat.

Having eaten so much meat, especially that three-horned demonic rat, he by human standards could be called a beast himself.

Compared to when he came to this world his physical strength has increased by four times, it wasn't just an increase in strength, but an overall increase.

His sprinting speed was faster than a motorcycle and that was measured while considering uneven rough terrain.

His defense has become so great that the army knife he had gotten at the start could hardy hurt him. With his current reflexes, it won't be difficult to dodge bullets.

"And even with all this strength I am only ranked 9th in the overall strength ranking."

He muttered as he decomposed all the body of the fox, the blood was eaten by the egg and all other things were sold in the chat.

As for what the 'Overall Strength Ranking' was... well as its name implies it's a ranking initiated by the system that ranks the strength of the chatters.

Although no rewards are handed out currently, people still want to be high in the ranking after all system might start to distribute rewards in the future.

Thinking about the matter of ranking he sighed and turned his head toward the sky, he wanted to judge the current time.

But as he looked at the sky his eyes widened in surprise as he took a double take, after all, instead of one sun in the sky there were nine.

"That's why it's fu#king hot here."

He muttered as his mind calmed down, after all, there was no reason to be surprised it was just nine suns. As for how that worked, well he isn't any researcher to delve into that.

Jumping up on the giant stone he looked at the river in front of him, it was wide perhaps a kilometer or so wide.

The only things connecting the two sides were the large pieces of stone-lined up next to one another, there was a gap of six or seven meters between them.

"On the other side of the river is there another region or area."

Nexus muttered as he started to rush toward the other area, he met some foxes resting on the large stones.

Their group was smaller than the one he met before so he quickly finished them up before moving forward.

Finally, after an hour of traveling and fighting he reached the other side, what greeted him was a green grassland covered with flowers ending into a giant forest.

Looking at the trees in the distance that touched the clouds in the sky he couldn't help but exclaim in their majesty.

"Those trees should be at least seven hundred meters."

He gave a rough estimate as he turned his attention to the green grassland, groups of the foxes could be seen spread everywhere.

Opening his chat he saw that he was in the same region, not minding that he took a quick photo of the beautiful surroundings and posted it in the group chat.

Commenting that he held the spear in his hand and started a hunt, a thing he learned is that battling after eating the beast's meat is the quickest way to grow.

...

"Haa"

Nexus gave a satisfied sigh as he dipped into the water of his man-made bathtub on the ground, even though the river was in front of him he didn't dare bathe in it.

After all that was looking for death, in fact, the beasts in the river may even give him their gratitude for feeding them if he did that.

Washing the sticky blood from his hands and face he looked behind at the blood-shocked grassland.

Although the grassland was only a few hundred square meters in area it still contained at least a hundred of the flame foxes.

Now the grassland is empty with a stench of blood permeating the air, the smell was so strong that the foxes in the forest didn't dare come out to the grassland.

As for taking advantage of the fact that he was bathing to attack him, well the bow and spear next to him may have something to say.

"Just five days left till the 30 day mark."

He muttered as he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath he got out of the small bathtub. The water droplets on his body shined with sunlight giving him an otherworldly look.

His body was open for the world to see... muscular but not bulky like a bodybuilder with scars big and small spread throughout.

Those scars were what he gained throughout his time in this world a sign of his weakness and growth.

Wearing his clothes he picked up his backpack and started to move toward the forest, after all even with his current strength it wasn't a good idea to stay in the open for long.

So soon he disappeared into the forest, the foxes that were waiting for a group to come and surround Nexus had no choice but to disperse.
