The corridor buzzed quietly because of the bright lights that shone day in and day out in the hospital. But someone else was buzzing at that moment, and that was Isabella. Stepping out of Jason's hospital room, she felt giddy, a rush sweeping over her as she skipped.
Grinning like an idiot she practically ran off in disbelief at the way she had just conducted herself in there. She had heard stories from her coworkers of how sometimes nurses like her were hit on by the patients, but it had never happened to her, maybe because she looked plain and nerdy.
Well, today it had finally happened. And the man who had hit on her was a fucking sexy beast! It wasn't every day she gave her number out, and today she had especially given it out to a beautiful man who was just a little bit unfortunate.
Luckily, he now had his "guardian angel" who would take care of him for the rest of his life, right? Oh my god, what was she thinking?
Tucking away the grin as she turned and greeted one of the doctors, she continued speeding off. Such a cheeky line, but it was also so cute… Just like him…
She continued walking off to continue her daily duties, trying very hard and failing to banish that gaze and the playful smile from her head. Little did she know, that in the man she was having fantasies about's world, a lot of weird shit was going on.
Meanwhile, Jason sat still, blankly staring at this panel that was in his vision, and his vision alone. He had checked with the nurse asking her if she could see anything blue in the air, and when she said no, he had played it off, saying that was exactly right. His life had no blues ever since she walked into it.
It was a blatant lie, but it worked. His life had tons of blues. It also had all sorts of things he did not fully understand. But Jason was trying, and that was all that mattered.

Maybe one day? This was all he got for the system to give him some bullshit that maybe one day he would become one? What even was a Master Programmer? Jason had completed two missions and he still didn't know!
Maybe one day, these rewards would show him the way. Chuckling to himself, Jason finally analysed his rewards. Was it finally time to see if this thing was real or if it was just a hallucination?
He knew that his MC was going to reflect in the Stats, so Jason got straight to it. He navigated to the Items page, where he found his new Rewards, neatly stacked and organised waiting for him.

Seriously? Was this some kind of cosmic joke? Everything was working so seamlessly, this did not feel like some hallucination that was guided by his unconscious fear and delusions.
Well, Data Blocks… this must be Information, right? Was it a physical block, or maybe it opened up a panel that he could read? Actually, looking at the name [Concepts and Methods Volume 1A], that would make total sense.
However, if it was a physical item, then maybe a literal block of pages would materialise and suddenly slap him in the face. What the hell was he thinking? Maybe he was being heavily affected by whatever he was on.
Anyway, there was no time better than the present. Jason mentally clicked on it and was happy to find out that it materialised another page on which some information about the item would be displayed along with an option to take it out.
That meant that it wasn't going to just slap his face without a warning. It was going to give him the option to get his face slapped or not. Just wonderful.

Well, straightforward enough… Jason checked out this information, reading through it once and then twice more before frowning. Wait, he knew exactly what NLP and CBT were. After all, he was a Psych Major was he not?
He already knew that NLP was short for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and CBT was short for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. They were both subbranches of practical psychology, and their techniques were useful in helping people all over the world.
He knew that NLP was more concerned with the connection between neurological processes, language and behavioural patterns, so what was mostly the key was using language to affect behaviour.
NLP-linked ideas can be found in sales marketing, hypnosis, and other types of informational offerings where it was imperative to affect behaviour using language. The most effective sales campaigns and ads, propaganda, and other things normally use NLP techniques.
Jason also knew that CBT was more concerned with the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and how to change behaviours based on the types of thoughts someone would think.
These kinds of things were normally found in thought experiments, hypnosis, and other types of things. The Rorschach test where patients are given images and asked what they look like is linked to this since there is a link between thoughts and other unconscious internal mechanisms that dictate behaviour.
So there was the issue here. This was for beginners… But Jason could not consider himself to be a beginner. Instead, although his knowledge of these two things specifically might be somewhat surface level, it was still functional knowledge even though he had forgotten some of it.
He wondered what was going to happen if he exported it. Raising his hands half in defence and half to catch something, and hoping that nobody walked in at that moment only to see him acting like some idiot, Jason mentally clicked on the Export button.
Then suddenly, it began.
