Jason leaned back against the chair, his fingers drumming a steady rhythm on the polished table. Across from him kneeled a man who exuded unease, his eyes darting around as though searching for an escape that didn't exist. But there was nothing for him in this place. Only the face of a man that he could only see to be a battle demon.
And that battle demon was currently staring at him with eyes that were currently looking at him like he was a dead man walking. This calm, apathetic demeanour only added to Mr Grey's growing anxiety.
"So," Jason said, his voice soft but deliberate, "shall we settle this matter?"
The man frowned, his brows knitting together. "What's there to settle? I told you, I can't just... do this. It's not about the money, alright? It's my heart… I can't move on from this."
