"Alright, alright, get outta here, idiots!" Jason said with a smile as they retreated with sheepish smiles. They were propping him up to give a good impression to his woman, Isabella.
These idiots were idiots, but they were smart.
The pair emerged from the building into the cool night air. The bodyguards stationed at the door blinked in confusion, their expressions shifting between suspicion and confusion as they saw Jason unharmed. He ignored their questioning looks and hailed a taxi.
Jason turned back to Isabella. She was quiet, her arms wrapped around him, as though shielding herself from the world and trying to get as much warmth as possible from him. He placed a hand on her shoulder, grounding her and then kissed her forehead, making her turn to him.
"Let's get you home, okay?" he said softly eliciting a nod from her.
