Four Missions? They better not be about those four idiots he had just dealt with…
As Veronica began teasing him, asking why he was asking about something like that, Jason laughed it off while opening the Missions page.

What the hell was this selection? Was Jason expected to pick one of these? Seriously?
Jason's stomach almost churned as he saw the third one, and it was visible to the woman who sat beside him who asked him what was wrong. Jason chuckled awkwardly and continued to say, "Nothing… So you were saying… about the work schedule?"
"Oh as I was saying… It's very hectic. As I explained, I'm managing multiple stores. I need to talk to suppliers, deal with supply chain, deal with marketing…."
Jason listened to her, but as he did he also kept his eye on what was happening with the Blue Panel on his vision.
What the hell was the system thinking? Such a tempting mission… Thinking back to the black dress and how it tightly framed her banging body, Jason gulped. Relax thyself, Mortal. How dare you taint the image of your Boss?
Inwardly sighing, Jason told himself to hold back from it. Instead, he would rather deal with the last one since it seemed like the easiest one to deal with, especially since he had her numbers already. When he saw the title, Jason blinked, smirking despite himself.
This Stingy System had some nerve. Make her call him Daddy? How utterly...
Shaking it off, Jason turned to Veronica who was now passionately talking about the demands of her life, how every time she walked into one of those business meetings she was hit on by some man who thought he could walk into her life and lighten her load. But she had no time. Being a CEO was a full commitment.
Even though her achievements had turned into modest profits and steady returns, it still left her with little time for herself. Jason listened intently, truly admiring her drive. He also was someone who wanted to be successful. That was why without thinking too much, he said his next words.
"I could help you out, you know…" he offered, throwing a charming smile her way.
Veronica raised an eyebrow. "How do you plan on doing that exactly?"
Jason leaned back, his expression confident as he met her gaze. "I can't just live with you rent-free. Think of me as your support system. Anything you'll ever need, I'll be there."
Her lips curled into a smile as she chuckled, saying, "Anything?"
Jason smiled, leaning forward a bit as he said, "Anything." After saying that, she smiled charmingly, also leaning towards him, saying, "Such a Charmer…" she said teasingly. There was a glint of genuine warmth in her eyes as she said this and it made Jason smile brighten even more.
Charmer? Oh, she had no idea.
Jason knew for certain that she was only scratching the surface of his Charm. If he turned it up, he could have her wetter than a lake even in that car. But he did not want to do it. He had already decided before, that it was important for him to see if she was interested in him before ever taking that step.
Jason knew something about this woman that did not make him happy at all. And that was the fact that she had a husband who had passed away ten years ago and that ever since she had seen Jason the first time, she had felt close to him.
That was because Jason resembled her husband in his youth.
The same smile, the same facial expressions, everything. She had admitted it once, saying that she was doing it because Jason reminded her of someone special to her. Back then Jason knew not who she was talking about, but now he knew it well after being told the gossip in the store.
It was her husband. She was being reminded of her husband. That was probably the reason why she was acting like that, and being this warm. In her mind, she couldn't help it. She must feel like she was all those years ago once again. She was just reliving her past.
That was why he was waiting. Waiting for the moment she saw him for him, and not for her late husband. To do that, he had to be worthy of being in her eyes, not just because he was handsome, but because he had something going for him in life.
"I'm thinking of getting a different job," Jason announced, hoping to steer the conversation away before she caught sight of the fact that her smile was having a physiological effect on him. And by physiological effect, that meant that there were currently two gear levers standing up in that car, and she might just reach for the wrong one!
Veronica's eyebrows raised as she looked at the road, turning to the mirror and saying, "Oh? What kind of job? Don't tell me it's a personal chef or something?"
Jason laughed at that because she was referring to how he would help as he said before. If he said yes he was worried she might pay him too much. That was why he spoke truthfully. "No. Something in Sales," Jason replied, his voice carrying his determination.
"I want to apply what I know about human behaviour and use it to drive Sales for the company I work for. I want to save up some money and then one day have my own business too."
At this moment she was somewhat intrigued and she turned to him, if only slightly to say, "Sales, huh…" After echoing that she kept quiet.
Jason nodded. "It's not just about the product. It's about understanding what people truly value and tapping into that. When you offer something meaningful, people respond to it in a way that means more to them than a mere transaction. That is a Long Term Value Model for building value in Sales."
As Veronica also offered her two cents, the conversation quickly deepened with both sides offering insights. Veronica soon expressed how impressed she was with Jason's insight on the psychology of sales explaining how small shifts in environment and engagement could make a world of difference in customer dissatisfaction and loyalty.
He even gave her ideas on how she could shift the layout of her stores and that would immediately boost her sales because there were certain things people think about at certain times of their trip through a store and as long as she showed them what to think, they would think how she wanted them to think.
Where she placed certain sections and ads that would guide people and customers to make decisions that would align with her intentions, thus driving more sales and making more money. Veronica eagerly absorbed all this, and all this time, she had an intense gaze as if thinking about something important.
By the time they arrived at her house, she seemed genuinely moved by their conversation. "If I'd known you had this kind of perspective in you, I would have never let you rot in the back storage."
Jason laughed, downplaying his knowledge by saying, "It's nothing. After all, it's just basics." However inwardly, he knew that this was not basics at all. This was something he had learned from what he had gotten from the System. As he looked at her, a warmth filled his chest that he had not felt in quite a time. They exchanged a lingering glance that neither seemed willing to break.
