Chapter 20 - Chapter 19: Second incarnation: Alexandra

Exactly what's happening around me? Someone wanted my life; then another person rescued me, but he turns out to be a demon!

Demons hate angels, right? I'm totally confused now, caught in a storm of emotions and uncertainty. The world around me feels chaotic, and I'm struggling to understand what's going on.

That eerie feeling vanishes suddenly, leaving me in a strange silence. I can't find that white light anymore.

Where is that demon? The one who seemed to save me but also terrifies me? And what about this mess down there?

Xavier suddenly vanished without a trace. What will happen to Samantha now? I feel so bad for her, knowing she's left to navigate this tumultuous situation alone. I wanted to give her a beautiful life.

Ahh, Eric and my father find her, but I realize I really can't do any more for her. She has to fend for herself from now on, and that thought weighs heavily on my heart.

Best of luck, dear. I whisper this to her in my mind, hoping she can feel my support due to our past spiritual connection, even from afar.

I bolt toward the sky, propelled by a mix of desperation and determination. I have to leave this world behind and search for my other spirit fragments scattered across different realms. It's a daunting task, but I know it's necessary for my own healing.

It takes me a while to return to that vast, ethereal space with numerous star fields containing countless planets. I can feel the pull of my spirit fragments from many planets. The sensation is familiar.

Then, I choose the star field closest to me, the one that resonates with the energy of my spirit fragment. I follow that sensation, allowing it to lead me, and soon I reach a planet that feels slightly higher ranked than Earth, my previous planet.

As I hover above the surface, I can feel a slight magic in the air, a tingling energy that excites my senses. My spirit fragment is tugging at me strongly now, urging me to descend and explore this new world. I take a deep breath, ready to embrace whatever awaits me.

This world is called 'Miloria.' It looks like an ancient magical world where the fabric of reality is woven with threads of magic. The landscape is a breathtaking sight of diverse terrains and mystical phenomena.

Towering mountains, lush forests, shimmering lakes, and vast deserts create a rich and varied environment, each region imbued with its own unique magical essence.

The air is thick with the scent of blooming flora that glows softly under the moonlight, and the skies are often painted with vibrant auroras that dance across the horizon.

The world of Miloria is also home to a myriad of magical creatures and monsters, from gentle forest spirits and majestic unicorns to fearsome beasts that roam the dark corners of the land.

These creatures often play a crucial role in the balance of magic, and several kingdoms have formed alliances or rivalries based on their interactions with these beings.

Miloria is divided into many kingdoms, each ruled by a king who wields varying degrees of magical power.

The three most powerful kingdoms—Aetheria, Drakoria, and Solara—stand at the heart of this world, their influence stretching far and wide.

Aetheria, the Kingdom of the Sky, is known for its floating islands and ethereal architecture. Its inhabitants, the Aetherians, are skilled in air and light magic, able to manipulate the winds and harness the energy of the sun.

The capital city, Celestia, is a marvel of shimmering spires and bridges that connect the islands, where the royal family is revered for their wisdom and grace.

Drakoria, the Kingdom of the Dragons, is a rugged land dominated by towering mountains and deep valleys. The Drakorians have a deep bond with dragons, and their magic is rooted in the primal forces of earth and fire.

The capital, Emberhold, is built into the side of a volcano, where the royal family commands respect and fear, their power derived from ancient pacts with the dragon clans.

Solara, the Kingdom of the Sun, is a vibrant realm of golden fields and sun-kissed valleys. The Solarians are adept in healing and nature magic, drawing strength from the life-giving rays of the sun.

Their capital, Luminara, is a bustling city filled with markets and festivals, where the royal family is celebrated for their benevolence and connection to the land.

Far away from these powerful kingdoms is Lunaris, a small but enchanting kingdom known for its moonlit nights and serene landscapes, situated beside the great sea. Here, magic thrives at night.

The people of Lunaris are deeply attuned to the cycles of the moon. The capital, Selene, is a tranquil city adorned with silver and blue hues, where the royal family is known for their wisdom and compassion.

It is here that my spirit fragment resides within the young princess of this royal family. As I descend into this vibrant world, I find myself at the crossroads of her destiny.

My spirit fragment tugs at me very strongly at this time. I find the princess in her room at the royal palace. The young princess is around 10 years old, and she is playing with a doll. Before merging with her, I need to understand her circumstances better.

Her name is Alexandra Campbell. She has an elder brother who is the Crown Prince, Albart Campbell. Her father, Abraham Campbell, is the current King of Lunaris.

As the only princess, Alexandra is very pampered. However, her body does not show any trace of magic. In this kingdom, magic awakens around the age of 7 or 8. Nobles have pure bloodlines, so their magical power is great. Among them, the royal family possesses the highest amount. But in her case, this strange phenomenon occurs. No other member of the royal family has ever experienced such a situation.

After two days, she will be 10 years old. Her debut ceremony will occur that day. She must evaluate her magical power publicly at the ceremony. The King, Queen, and Crown Prince, along with every member of the royal family, are worried. When common people learn about this unusual phenomenon, they may deem Alexandra cursed. That could cause unrest in the kingdom.

I gather intelligence all day long. Now it's nighttime. Alexandra should go to bed soon. When everyone falls asleep, I'll merge with my spirit fragment in her body.

She is sleeping deeply. Now is the time. I enter her mind. My spirit fragment attracts me like a magnet. My spirit finds it and touches it, starting the merge. The merging process will complete after 15 to 20 years. Meanwhile, the memories of her entire life up to today rush into my mind.

From her memories, I know that Alexandra is oblivious to her lack of magic. When she first learned she has no magical power like her older brother or any other people, she threw a tantrum. Then everyone told her that her magical power is very special and will awaken later. Truly a pampered child!

But soon I notice an anomaly in her body caused by my spirit fragment. Originally, she has Dark attribute magic power! But my spirit fragment carries my magic power, which is largely of the Light attribute. The Light and Dark attribute magic cancel each other out. So everyone thinks she has no magic power. Oh my...!

I never used Dark magic. It really clashes with my own Light magic. So now I can only use the other types of magic of our kind, like Healing magic, with Alexandra's body. That's not bad. It's a pretty rare magic in this world. Now I just have to show my power to everyone.

Alexandra is a rare beauty. Her blue eyes, blonde hair, picturesque face, and perfect body shape... her very being is otherworldly. But without any magic power, she can only become a vase. Maybe her only worth will be a political marriage. I don't want to be that kind of person. I believe in someone's ability, not in appearance.

The next day, I wake up early. Alexandra's head maid, Helen Parker, a middle-aged stern woman, arranges my dress and ornaments for the day. After getting dressed, I go to pay my respects to Alexandra's family and have breakfast with them.

Alexandra has a bubbly personality, while I am more on the calm side.

The King asks me, "What happens to my precious baby today?"

"Father, I discovered a strange phenomenon yesterday," I reply.

Alexandra's elder brother, the Crown Prince, interrupts the King to ask the reason, "Strange phenomenon! What's that?"

"When I take care of my garden, I see my favorite flower dying. I feel so bad for it. I then touch it and pray to God to save it. Then the flower really gets better. It's like a fresh one until now," I exclaim.

Everyone is stunned. They all stop eating and want to know the details. I timidly tell them.

I laugh madly in my mind, though. I become an awesome actor. What a sin!!!

Then everyone follows me to see that flower. I guide them to Alexandra's garden and show them the flower that I healed this morning.

Next, they want to check my magic power. They bring a stone to me that can gauge the type and rough amount of magic in anyone.

This world's magic capacity is nowhere near that of heaven, so I can use just a small portion of my magic. If I try to use more, then this world's laws will reject me. But this small portion is more than enough. I can easily heal a dying person in this world.

I place my hand on that stone and very carefully control the amount of magic infused into it.

The stone turns light green. Here, the green color means Healing magic, and the lightness of the color indicates a moderate amount.

Everyone becomes ecstatic. The King announces that he will hold a grand banquet the next day. His only daughter has awakened a rare magic power; of course, he wants to celebrate.

I smirk. After this incident, my change of personality should be attributed to this magic awakening.

I'll pretend to practice magic all the time. But actually, I'll learn all kinds of knowledge about this world. I have to be a capable princess of Lunaris....
