Chereads / Absolute Spider-Man: Black City / Chapter 9 - Spider-Man Thank you

Chapter 9 - Spider-Man Thank you

"Bang, I say while smashing his head into the floor one more time and knocking him out.

"Dammit, this fucking stab wound hurts." As I look to my side, I see that my wound is healing at a rapid pace.

"Looks like it will be healed within a couple of hours, but it still doesn't stop the pain."

Better wrap these guys up well and get going.

Fwip sling fwip

As I tie them up and hang them from the ceiling from another web, I hear the police sirens finally approaching.

"You all head out; the police are coming and take the seriously injured first to see immediate treatment."

"ok", they all said while staring at me with shock, fear, or hope."

Fwip as I swing away, exiting through the roof, I hear someone yell.

"Thank you, Spiderman. I'll never forget what you did for me and my daughter."

As I swung away, a small smile appeared on my face, but just as fast as it appeared, it left. I needed to get stronger if he wasn't even the boss, but to let myself get hurt because I couldn't even control my body.

###

"What do you mean the mission failed? Didn't you all follow the instructions I gave you?" said a man in a low but dangerous voice.

"Yes, sir, but it seems someone ended up helping the police catch our men and save the hostages."

"Find out who he is and kill him. I don't need a nuisance in the way of my plans."

"Right on it, sir. I'll go relay your orders immediately."

"Good now that this plan failed postpone your next attack by a week."

"Alright, sir, I'll be going now."

###

Gahhh fuck man, as I throw myself on my old run-down couch, I open the water bottle I got from the store, still remembering that interaction as a little weird.

Damn, I should head home, but before I go get some water.

As I drop in front of a small market store, I see an old Asian man working the counter.

At least no people are here as I go to the back and grab water. I go to the counter to go pay for my water.

"This is all, sir."

As the old man looks at me, then behind him, seeing the trail of blood I left and the debris on my body, he exhales

"It ok, young man. Take water and rest. Busy days come."

Hearing this, a question appeared above my head.

"Uh, are you sure?"

"Yes, go mess, you leave must clean."

"Um, okay, thank you, sir. Sorry for bothering you."

"No, it's ok. Come when you need something. Story always open. Now go."

As the old man shoos me away, I think about why this is happening, but nothing comes to mind. Well, whatever, I always accept a free gift.

As I walk out the door, I immediately swing away to go home.

Nice young man, he is, the old man says while grabbing a mop and mopping the floor while he looks up at the TV, seeing the news of the attack.

"Ma'am, can you please explain what happened?"

"Yes, I and my daughter were at the bank when these explosions happened, and everything around me became blurry as I tried to figure out what was happening to us, my daughter got trapped under rubble, and no matter how hard I tried to pull it off or scream for help, no one came."

"But then a man in a red and white suit with a giant spider symbol on his chest saved my daughter by easily lifting the beams and even told us to come along as he went and saved everyone in the rubble."

"After the guys came out and tended to kill us, he dealt with every one of them till another man came more powerful than all of the other guys. He fought, and for a second it seemed he would lose, but we were all praying he could win this fight."

"And after a few minutes, he and the leader dueled had ended after showing off his strength, and before he left, he told us his name."

"So to the man who saved us, you very much, Spiderman, I know I already told you thanks, but thank you from the bottom of my heart once again. I will truly never forget this."

Hmmm, good young man, he is truly" as the old man looks away from the TV and back to where he left off and looks at the blood. He hopes this spiderman will be fine.

Ya, that old timer was weird; he acted like he already knew me. As I rest on the couch and drink my cold water, I slowly start to fall asleep as my body relaxes from today's work.

Hmmm, I need to find another job. I would like a nicer apartment, I say in a groggy voice as my eyes finally close.
