Another day they keep me in bed, I'm feeling fine now and I'm ready to get back out there!
Right that's it I'm getting out of bed and I'm going down to get breakfast.
I head down and of course uncle is there, he start going on one and telling me how I should not be out of bed so soon, but I don't care about staying in bed it's boring and while everyone is out and about having fun , how is that fair? I make it clear to uncle that I am not going to step foot in that bed again so Uncle finally gives in to me.
"Uncle' becca if you insist on been up and about then you may aswell learn your roll as the air to the throne, Alex will take you to the study and go over the affairs and role's you will have to deal with."
Very well uncle it's about time I started learning more and what better way to get to know Alex in the process.
I hurry and eat up my breakfast and then follow Alex to the study, there we sit down and he gives me some books too look over.
So this book has all the funds that we have to manage?
"Alex' it's not just ours but also to pay for the lands the people , down here is not much different to the human world the only difference is that we have demons and vampires here and there is always someone trying to cause a problem or a war we have our own army, to help keep those at bay. This book has all the royalty as you call it in here."
He shows me more and more books and goes over everything with me then we have the pleasure of Ben walking in.
"Ben' becca I have come to steal you away , I believe you are due for a brake will you accompany me in a walk around the garden?"
Ben it's nice to see you, of course I will gladly join you, Cerberus could do with a leg stretch come boy .
We walk around the garden in this beautiful sunshine, talking away and asking me how my learning is coming so far.
It's alot to take in if I am honest with you Ben, I don't know how I am going to run this realm.
"Ben' don't worry too much about it miss, you have almost a year before you take the throne and you will have a husband to help you along the way."
Wait almost a year? I thought I have to marry soon and then take the throne? None of this makes sense?
" ben' my father likes to speed things though so you don't change your mind and cause problems, but you will marry soon enough and then on your 18th birthday you will then become qween of hell, you see you can't rule until you come of age so by the time this happens you will be ready to sit on the throne and rule all of hell ."
Alright I see well that's good to know I don't have to rush my studies then, but as for the marriage thing I have not decided yet I never thought about marriage I'm still only 17 and a long life a head of me and to think I will be spending that with someone I hardly know, I have as little as 2 week to decide and I'm no where near ready to choose.
" ben' don't think too much about it , you will know when the time is right"
He lightly squeezed my shoulder and gave me a big smile. He seem so nice and understanding.
Where sat on a bench taking in the air around us, as the sky starts turning colours and the birds chirp away where soon interrupted by Carl.
" carl' ahh becca there you are I thought you had gotten lost , you have been out here for so long with him it's time you went for dinner, come I will take you."
He grabs my arm and locks it onto his, we walk into the dinning room and all eyes our on us.
" Eric ' don't you both look like the perfect couple"
I swallow hard and let go of carl and go sit by Alex and ben.
Carl is too arrogant and selfish to make a good husband, he would just order me around and that would be the last thing I would want. How could Eric think that where the perfect couple I'm sure carl just loves the attention or is it that he's trying to make the others jealous?
