Chapter 1 - Ch1 - How I Met Your Uncle Lucas

I sat down at my desk and sipped a small cup of coffee.

In front of me sat two youths on a small gray couch seemingly in their teenage years.

A beautiful young girl sat on the right while a strikingly handsome boy was on the left not too far from the girl.

They had navy blue uniforms on with a familiar crest.

"Dad? Why'd you call us in here?"

The young girl raised a brow questioning my intentions.

"Well before you head off to the academy, I think it'd be nice if I told you a little story."

I answered while taking another sip of my coffee.

Both youths had a confused expression on their faces anticipating my next words.

"The story of how I met your mother."

"Ughh"

The boy dramatically reacted while the girl massaged her temples.

"Dad, we've heard this story so many times."

"Shh."

I raised a finger preventing her from speaking any further.

"You haven't heard the whole story."

I explained lowering my hand.

"How about we start from the very beginning."

The youths knowingly began adjusting themselves on the couch.

"I was around 16 at this time."

My low soothing voice trailed off.

*****

A small bell chimed as I slowly opened the wooden door. My deep black gloves contracting as I turned the knob.

"You see kids before this time I didn't really believe in love."

"That's surprising"

The handsome youth sarcastically replied.

I slowly began walking.

My shoes making clanking sounds with each step.

I plopped down in a small stool and raised my hand.

"Can I just have a non-alcoholic cocktail, please?"

My low soothing voice rang throughout the bustling bar.

"Ah, a minor, I assume?"

The bartender asked raising a brow his gaze locking onto mine.

"Yes, I'm 16 this year."

I calmly replied lowering my arm.

"May I see an awakened ID?"

He suspiciously asked his gaze never leaving me for a moment.

"Of course."

I reached into my pocket and pulled out...

A small card and put in on the counter.

He grabbed the card and looked at it for a moment before handing it back to me.

"Sorry, it's a rule that I have to check ID. You're a student at the Academy? You must be quite talented."

"No problem and I'm not that talented compared to my peers."

"Ah yes, this generation is called the so called "Golden Generation."

I nod as the bartender put down a small glass filled with a bright purple concoction.

The bell chimed once again...

The clanging of shoes hitting the ground began getting closer and closer.

Yet, I didn't turn around.

I inconspicuously took another sip of my drink.

A charming black-haired youth sat down beside me.

"I knew you'd come."

"Of course."

"You're not Lucas Woldren, I presume?"

"May I get a glass of water?"

He said raising his hand gesturing towards the bartender.

He slowly turned his head towards me.

His deep blue eyes met mine.

"The sea."

He raised a brow not expecting me to respond with that.

"Your eyes they remind me of the sea."

I took another sip of my drink turning my attention to the incoming bartender.

"May I ask what type of mixture this is?"

I asked the bartender.

"A Novius Hendri."

He replied before setting down a glass of water on the counter.

"Kids that's how I met your Uncle Lucas."

"What did you guys talk about that night?"

The beautiful young girl asked.

"I seem to have forgotten."

"I'm not Lucas Woldren."

'As I thought.'

"This world isn't real, it's a novel."

'As I thou-'

"What?"

I turned towards him his gaze looking forward towards something seemingly distant.

"I was transmigrated into the novel. I am the author of the novel."

"So, you're like a god?"

"Not really. I simply woke up in this body after receiving a strange email."

He explained while taking a sip of water.

"The email wrote, "Hey may I edit this novel? I'd liked to make some revisions to the story."

'This was definitely not one of the outcomes I predicted.'

"Can I have some proof of this. It isn't the most believable story."

I suspiciously questioned him my eyes never leaving him as he seemingly paid no attention to me at all.

"Sure, I picked this bar for a reason after all."

I raised a brow still looking at him suspiciously.

My pupils contradicted and began glowing in a greenish hue as I looked around.

The bells chimed again as a familiar figure entered the bar.

'Kiara Novius, daughter of the Ducal Novius Family and the younger sibling to the Principal of the Academy.'

"In a couple moments a boy will confess to Kiara and get brutally rejected."

Lucas said not turning around to even face Kiara knowing she was the person that had just came in.

So, I waited for a couple moments my eyes still glowing in that deep green hue.

Observing the people in the bar, Kiara, and lastly Lucas.

'Is it going to be the guy in the trench coat? No, he doesn't seem young. As I examined his dark black hair, I could see a couple gray hairs. What about one of them? I looked over at a group of youth, all of them seem plausible. No, they all seem somewhat drunk, and they don't look at all prepared to confess to anyone.'

My eyes frantically looked at every person in the bar I even started examining the bartender.

The bells chimed once again, and a person walked into the bar.

A bouquet of white roses in his hand.

He got on one knee raising the roses towards Aria as she stood there.

Her expression never changing as she looked down at the handsome youth.

"Will you go ou-"

"No"

She cut him off not letting him finish.

Lucas looked towards me as I shockingly witnessed the scene in front of me.

"And lastly, you have a crush on the saintess, Charlotte Ultherio."
