Author's Note: I changed Aria Novius to Kiara Novius this was also edited in prior chapters. To not cause confusion between my other novel.
Lucas brought out his computer and plopped it on the table in the center of the couch area.
He then inserted a normal looking USB.
Everyone was sat down at the couch looking anticipatingly towards Lucas.
I was sat at the very opposite end from Charlotte.
"This USB contains a sped-up version a part of a relatively unknown mystery movie."
He said while looking towards me as if he was giving me a signal...
He clicked play
and a barrage what looked like flashing lights played; it was all over in around 3 seconds.

Everything faded to black, and recreations of movie scenes started playing throughout the black walls.
Blue words were painted across the pitch-black canvas.
In the middle sat a familiar brown-haired youth.
"The killer is of course the one and only main character, Thomas Snow or in this version Edward Hopkins. It's a cliche trope where the main character is revealed to be the killer."
"That's right not only did he figure out the killer. He saw that this was a poorly made imitation of the famous movie, The Snow Inn Murders. All from incredibly sped-up random clips of the movie."
"You lied to him from the start? You said it was a sped-up part of a relatively unknown movie."
Charlotte questioned her eyes narrowing down on Lucas.
"I didn't lie it was sped up and it did include parts of the movie, and this horrible recreation was relatively unknown."
Charlotte continued to look at Lucas with a certain glare and my gaze could only be fixed to her as she stared daggers into Lucas.
'Absolutely beautiful. Even her angry face could be considered a top tier painting.'
"So, he's super-duper smart?"
Kiara commented while Kyle had his hand on his chin as if he was deep in thought.
"Kids I won't lie both your Uncle Kyle and Aunt Kiara were dumb as a rock back then."
"So does anyone object to having Cale join our team?"
"Me, what if he's smart? he'll hinder us if he can't fight."
Kyle raised his hand, a rare serious expression blooming on his face.
"I can guarantee his fighting skills, I've fought him personally."
"I'll trust you, Lucas."
Everyone around seemed to look directly at me in reaction I just quietly looked to the side.
"Alright then I'll be taking my leave. Micheal tell Lily about our new friend here, alright?"
"Got it."
'Everyone here seems to trust and respect Lucas. Though I don't really know why.'
I inwardly noted as I began standing up as well.
"As you know your Uncle Lucas is referred to as The Strongest and it's for a good reason."
"I didn't know it at the time, but your Uncle Lucas was strong so incredibly strong. I wish sometimes I could be as strong as him."
"Dad? Aren't you right behind him in rankings you're fourth place?"
"I'm not just talking about physically or magically."
I explained while taking another sip of my coffee.
*********
"You alright?"
"Just peachy."
I replied while turning to see a familiar white-haired boy.
His sun-like eyes filled with what seemed to be concern.
"You look sad."
"That's just how my face looks."
I looked back towards the fleeting sunset. I had just gotten a cup of coffee from a nearby shop.
'I may as well be addicted.'
I inwardly thought while looking towards my small cup of life-juice.
Micheal had come up to me since he saw me sitting on a wooden bench on the academy grounds looking quote "sad."
"You should smile more often. Charlotte has once said she likes boys who smile."
"Huh?"
'How does he know too? Did Lucas tell him?'
"It's incredibly obvious. It's like you're telling the whole world."
He replied while stretching his arms up in the air lazily.
"I wish you luck, my friend."
He put both his hands on his thighs and slowly stood up his expression never changing once.
That soft concerned face that makes you want to spill all your secrets.
'Friend? It's been a while since someone called me that. Probably that night was the last and final time.'
"Well then see you, my friend."
I said softly while he began to walk off probably going off to bed.
The pitch-black night was cold and quiet as if the world froze for just a moment.
It was if Cale had just activated Zone, but no words etched across the night sky
and no pictures replayed within its domain, but much like Zone there sat a lone figure in the middle sat on a small wooden bench.
"I still vividly remember that cold night on Jukil 3rd, 168. I can still feel how cold my fingertips were that night. I can still hear Micheal's soft voice calling me "friend." That night was the first time in a long while, I grabbed fate with my very own hands."
