Although King Kai's planet is small, it is indeed a celestial body.
As the group approached King Kai's planet, a sudden powerful gravitational force pulled them in, causing Yuujin, Goku, and Chi-Chi to rapidly fall toward the surface.
"Ahhh..."
Yuujin and Goku managed to adjust their posture to maintain balance, but Chi-Chi was caught off guard by the unusually strong gravity and struggled to stabilize herself.
With two booming sounds, Yuujin and Goku landed on King Kai's planet like cannonballs. Chi-Chi, however, was spared from crashing into the ground as Yuujin held her in his arms.
Despite being saved from the impact, Chi-Chi was still in a bad state.
"Y-Yuujin, I feel awful..."
Her face was pale, and she felt dizzy and heavy, even finding it hard to breathe.
The gravity on King Kai's planet was about ten times that of Earth, similar to that of Planet Vegeta. Yuujin and Goku, who had been to many other planets, were accustomed to it. But for Chi-Chi, who was experiencing such gravity for the first time, it was extremely uncomfortable.
Chi-Chi's current strength allowed her to easily lift objects ten times her weight. However, carrying heavy objects is different from enduring high gravity. Weight training relies on the body's strong bones and muscles for support, whereas gravity affects every cell and corner of the body.
Ordinary humans can usually withstand a maximum of seven or eight Gs. Sudden exposure to such high gravity often results in symptoms like dizziness, heavy limbs, and difficulty breathing. In some cases, even the more fragile blood vessels and internal organs might rupture, leading to sudden death.
This was why Yuujin had intentionally spent a few extra days on Snake Way earlier. Chi-Chi's strength came from eating the Esenji rather than achieving it through gradual training. While shortcuts have their advantages, they also have drawbacks.
The advantage was that Chi-Chi could quickly gain powerful strength without any hard work or sweat. The drawback was that, lacking the process of training and refining, her body remained the same as before, not tempered through rigorous practice.
However, strength is still strength. When it reaches a certain level, it can, in turn, enhance the body. After these days of mastering and adapting, Chi-Chi's physique had already improved significantly. Yuujin estimated that she should be able to withstand King Kai's planet's gravity.
"Chi-Chi, are you okay?"
"How are you feeling now?"
Seeing Chi-Chi struggling, Goku looked concerned, while Yuujin channeled some energy into her body.
"I-I feel much better..."
With a hint of color returning to her cheeks, Chi-Chi indeed looked much better.
Though her body still felt heavy, the previous dizziness and breathing difficulties were gone.
After a period of adjustment, Chi-Chi, being a strong martial artist, gradually adapted to King Kai's planet's gravity.
"That's great!"
Seeing that Chi-Chi was fine, Goku smiled joyfully, and the group began to observe their surroundings.
The entire surface of King Kai's planet was covered in green grass, with a few fruit trees, two small houses, a road encircling the planet, and a red car parked by the roadside. Apart from these, there was nothing else.
For the residence of a deity who oversaw the entire Northern Galaxy, it was surprisingly simple and unpretentious.
"King Kai, King Kai, where are you? We've come to train!"
"Goku, you shouldn't shout. It's impolite. We are ladies, after all."
"Ladies?"
"Hahaha... I forgot."
Goku called out loudly for King Kai, while Chi-Chi scolded her lightly.
Scratching her head, Goku looked a bit embarrassed. Because of her shouting, several figures emerged from one of the houses.
Leading the group was a short and chubby figure with long, cockroach-like antennae on his head and catfish-like whiskers on either side of his mouth. It was none other than King Kai.
Beside him were two other figures: a black gorilla named Bubbles, hopping around and making "ooh ooh" sounds, and a mysterious creature resembling a locust flying in the air, likely King Kai's servant Gregory.
"Who are you people, and what are you doing here?"
Standing before the group, King Kai spoke.
"King Kai, I am Yuujin, the new god of Earth. These are Goku and Chi-Chi."
"Praising your wisdom and fame, we have come to seek your guidance for our training."
Flattery always works. Yuujin introduced the group while subtly complimenting King Kai.
However, the next moment—
"Wise and famous?"
"Are you talking about me???"
"Hahahaha!!!!"
King Kai pointed incredulously at his own chubby face before collapsing to the ground, pounding it with laughter.
Yuujin's mouth twitched. What was going on here? This King Kai had an incredibly low sense of humor, or did he have a very realistic self-assessment?
Not only Yuujin, but Goku and Chi-Chi also wore strange expressions.
Why was King Kai laughing so hard all by himself, like a fool?
Unlike Yuujin and the others' awkwardness, Bubbles continued to make "ooh ooh" sounds, and Gregory, floating in the air, looked satisfied.
"Kid, you've got a keen eye to understand just how great King Kai truly is."
Ignoring Gregory's praise, Yuujin shifted his gaze away.
This guy was quite the sycophant too!
After a long time, King Kai finally stopped laughing, wiped his forehead with a handkerchief, and spoke:
"Kid, you said your name is Yuujin, right?"
"You have great potential. Since you've come specifically to seek my guidance, I will impart to you the ultimate essence of my jokes!"
Displaying an air of generosity, King Kai said.
"King Kai, we came to learn martial arts, not to study jokes."
Feeling a bit speechless, Yuujin replied.
Hearing this, King Kai's face clearly showed disappointment.
It was the same with King Yemma and others; why did everyone come to him seeking martial arts training when his jokes were clearly unrivaled in the universe?
However, as King Kai carefully observed Yuujin, his expression became more serious:
"Kid, your power already surpasses mine."
"If you just want me to guide your martial arts training, then there's nothing I can teach you. You might as well go back."
King Kai wasn't intentionally rejecting Yuujin; he was simply being honest.
Despite being one of the four Kais overseeing the galaxy, with an impressive title, King Kai's actual power wasn't that strong—only a few thousand battle power points, at most reaching ten thousand. Yuujin's current strength was indeed beyond him.
However, Yuujin was set on learning the "Kaioken" and "Spirit Bomb" techniques. There was no way he would leave without mastering these powerful moves...

Guys, I am posting another Dragon Ball fiction from my alternate account. The fic is likely the best project I have ever done as a translator, so do check it out. It is a multiversal fic with Dragon Ball as the main world. A Saiyan's Journey Begins From A Dream by SenatusAlpha.
