"Move!" Garrick roared, shoving Alyssia aside just as the creature lunged, its razor-like claws tearing through the air where she'd been standing a moment before. The beast let out a guttural snarl, its red eyes gleaming with cruel amusement.
Alyssia stumbled but quickly regained her footing, her blades drawn. "What is that thing?" she shouted, her voice trembling as she sized up the monstrous figure.
"The Ravager," Solvren's voice echoed in her mind, calm but urgent. "It devours souls. And it will not leave without Kaelen."
The Ravager's hulking frame loomed in the faint light, its body a grotesque blend of sinewy flesh and shadowy tendrils that seemed to writhe independently. Every step it took made the ground quake, its movements unnervingly graceful despite its monstrous size.
"Stay sharp, Alyssia!" Garrick growled, his axe glinting in the faint light.
