Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Arya

Soon Jon entered King's Landing again. This time he changed his clothes and looked a little neater.

Jon saw that these 'red robes' from the Westerlands were joking with each other and were not particularly serious.

According to the information Ned told him on the way, after entering the city again, Jon went directly west into the wealthy area near the old city gate.

This place is much better than the flea nest and dragon's lair he had passed by before.

Take the road for example. The road surface here is relatively flat. Although it does not necessarily use any expensive materials, the sound of horse hooves clattering on it shows that the road surface here is much stronger just from the perspective of hardened road surface.

From time to time, carriages of noble families passed by on the road, and there were almost no people around who were not fully clothed.

It is already night, but these young men and women from noble families have just begun to prepare for their own banquet.

"Miss Steele, you are so beautiful."

"Thanks..."

Jon slowed down his pace and finally arrived at the sword gym where Arya practiced swordplay amid the polite greetings of the nobles.

This is a small mansion. As it was already night, the gate was closed. In order to avoid making any noise as much as possible, Jon had to find a place where he could climb over the wall to get in.

After tying the horse in a dark place, Jon came to the base of a wall planted with willow trees. He kicked the trunk and jumped more than two meters high, then nimbly flipped in.

At this moment, a man with a hooked nose emerged from the darkness, tapped the protrusions on the wall with his toes a few times, and followed Jon in.

Arya is really lively and active. When she was in Winterfell, she envied Jon, Robb and Bran very much because they could practice sword skills in the training ground, but she could only learn some needlework with Sansa and Sister Jasmine.

Sometimes she would secretly pick up the small wooden sword to play with it but would always be stopped by Catelyn. But after arriving in King's Landing, there was finally no one to restrain her, and Ned also found a teacher for her.

The teacher also liked her very much and taught her everything he knew.

Therefore, Arya often practiced swordplay until very late, and often did not even return to the Red Keep for several days in a row, sleeping directly in the sword hall. If he were a boy, then her efforts would be enough to make her a place in swordsmanship in the future.

Even in the original book, Arya practiced swordsmanship whenever she had the chance while on the run. Of course, what made her practice swordsmanship so hard at that time was not only her hobby, but also the desire to avenge her father and brother.

At this time, Arya's forehead was covered with fine beads of sweat, and in her hand was the small dagger named "Needle" given to her by Jon.

Although her clothes were soaked with sweat, there was no sign of fatigue on Arya's face. Instead, she looked extremely focused and serious.

Suddenly, a familiar call pulled him back from the world of swordsmanship.

"Little sister!"

Arya looked back and saw that the person was frozen in place. It was Jon.

"Jon!"

Arya jumped for joy, then threw herself into Jon's arms and hung herself on him.

"Jon, you've grown taller!"

Because Arya and Jon both inherited Stark's looks, they look like siblings when they stand together.

Jon smiled and patted her head.

"teacher!"

At this moment, a somewhat bald man appeared behind Jon at some point, and he was the man with the hooked nose who had just followed Jon.

Jon looked back and was shocked. He had not noticed the appearance of this man at all. It seemed that this swordsmanship master from the Free City was indeed something.

Jon had just climbed over the wall to avoid being seen. He soon noticed Jon and followed him. Seeing Jon and Arya being so intimate, he felt relieved but still felt strange.

"Teacher, he is Jon, I told you."

Arya's teacher's name is Syrio Forel. He found that Arya was very talented in swordsmanship. What's more rare is that she was also very hardworking. For someone who wants to pass on his swordsmanship, there is nothing more joyful than meeting a talented and hardworking apprentice.

Even according to the original storyline, he even fought to the death with the gold cloaks who came to capture Arya in order to protect his disciple.

So for such a master, Jon planned to take him away with him.

The deeper reason is that the Faceless Man Jaqen is probably wandering outside the city now. With such a master around, Ned's safety factor will be higher.

"Lord Stark is already outside the city. Because of the situation there, I am going to take Arya away secretly. Master, are you willing to leave with me?"

Jon pointed in the direction of the Red Keep and said to him

Syrio was a smart man. He knew that the force that could make a Hand of the King so fearful that he had to leave quietly and even his two daughters unable to move away in time must not be underestimated.

Even that person's identity is about to be revealed!

As Arya's teacher, once Arya leaves, he will inevitably be interrogated and will most likely face imprisonment, so he has no choice.

So Syrio didn't hesitate at all. He just put on Arya's coat and prepared to leave without taking anything.

Syrio's little action completely put Jon's mind at ease. Arya had just sweated a lot and it was easy for her to catch a cold. It seemed that Syrio really loved his apprentice.

Jon said to Arya

"Father is outside the Dragon Gate now. You should remember Todd, right? He will pick you up. I will go find Sansa first and will meet up with you soon."

Seeing Jon's serious look, Arya felt something was wrong, so she asked

"Jon, what happened? Why did we leave so suddenly?"

Syrio knew that now was not the time for Jon to waste words, so he patted Arya's head and signaled her not to ask these questions and to put on her clothes quickly.

Syrio led Jon to a hidden door.

"Master, my father has no available help right now, so I'll have to ask you to take care of him. If the situation changes, please escort him back to the North. Please."
