How did Violet train Lucario to become a cook capable of making hundreds of dishes? This was truly intriguing.

Evan spoke with Lucario and learned it could prepare countless dishes, leaving him utterly stunned.

Could Violet have a special knack for raising Pokémon into life masters?

This thought made Evan consider sending her Gallade for training. However, since Lucario could now teach Gallade, Evan decided to abandon the idea.

Sophia couldn't help laughing when she heard Evan's musings. She knew exactly what was going on.

"Violet traveled alone," she explained. "Since she couldn't cook, she downloaded tons of cooking videos to teach her Pokémon. Metagross, Aggron, and Empoleon weren't suitable, so the task fell to Lucario. Hehe~~"

"But Lucario turned out to have a real talent for cooking. It could master recipes after watching a video just twice. Once Violet realized this, she entrusted all her meals to Lucario. Over time, it honed its impressive cooking skills."

Sophia disclosed everything she knew, and Evan was floored by the story.

"That's incredible," he said. "Why not let your Gardevoir learn too? Maybe it has potential."

He turned to glance at Kirlia, which was using Psychic to arrange fruits. Sophia blinked at the suggestion.

"Hmm, that does sound possible..." She trailed off, falling into deep thought.

Evan sighed, feeling both amused and exasperated. Birds of a feather indeed flock together. Even the kind and elegant Sophia seemed to share Violet's eccentricity.

Kirlia, on the other hand, seemed to sense something was afoot. Feeling a bad premonition, it nervously scanned its surroundings. After ensuring nothing was amiss, it let out a small sigh of relief and returned to organizing the fruits.

Soon after, Sophia arranged for the energy cubes to be delivered. Seeing this, Evan immediately stepped in to help move the cubes to the back warehouse.

Once the store was in order, Aunt Jenn headed out to stock up on drinks, deciding to sell them along with the other items. Watching her leave, Evan suddenly had an idea.

"Kirlia, could you do me a favor and call your Gallade brother over? And also your Kirlia sister?"

Sophia's Kirlia obediently nodded before vanishing in a flash of Psychic energy.

Seeing how compliant her Kirlia was, Sophia let out a dramatic sigh. "I feel like my Kirlia isn't mine anymore. It listens to you more than me. At this rate, it might as well be your Pokémon!"

Evan shrugged. "Maybe it's because I'm more handsome. Psychics tend to like me, you know. You can't help it if you're not as charming."

Sophia glared at him in mock indignation. "Narcissist!"

"Admit it," Evan teased. "It's the difference between a talented, handsome guy and an untalented one. As a cute Pokémon, Kirlia would naturally prefer me."

Feeling thoroughly roasted, Sophia rolled her eyes. "Forget it, let's change the subject. Evan Senior, did you really battle with a Legendary Pokémon in Water City yesterday? What happened?"

Evan blinked, surprised. "How did you know about that? Did Violet tell you?"

Sophia shook her head.

"No, it's already all over the Internet. That's how I recognized you."

As she spoke, Sophia showed Evan the news article she had read the day before.

Seeing the report, Evan finally understood.

"I see," he said.

No wonder she knew. Evan had thought it was Violet who had told her.

"It's actually nothing," Evan continued. "It was Violet who dragged me into it. The most regrettable part is that those two idiots got away. Otherwise, I might have caught them."

He curled his lips in frustration, still irked about the legendary bird escaping. The next time he encountered it, Evan vowed to handle it himself.

When Gallade and the others arrived, Evan planned to test his Psychic strength. Based on what he already knew, it was undoubtedly beyond championship level. After all, Gallade's Psychic was less than a tenth of his own. If Evan unleashed his full power, the strength would be immense—but it also risked a Psychic overload. He knew he needed to find a way to control it better.

After hearing Evan's explanation, Sophia suddenly laughed.

"Mythical Pokémon aren't that easy to tame, Evan Senior," she said. "Even if you subdued them, I bet they'd still be unhappy. They could run away at any time, especially since you fought them as a group rather than in a one-on-one battle to earn their loyalty. If things aren't handled properly, a mythical Pokémon could be a huge risk for any Trainer."

She then shared some stories she'd heard.

"It's not like no one has ever captured a mythical Pokémon before. Someone on the Peninsula once subdued a Thundurus by having six Pokémon gang up on it. But Thundurus became so enraged that it called the other two members of its group. Together, they launched a fierce counterattack that nearly destroyed the entire city."

Evan's eyes widened in surprise. "Thundurus? And two others? You mean Landorus and Tornadus joined in? All four cloud spirits came together?"

Sophia nodded.

"That's right," she confirmed. "It was a real disaster. Compared to them, Articuno is much more powerful. If you provoke Articuno, there's a chance Lugia might step in."

Hearing this, Evan was silent for a moment before letting out a sigh.

"Yeah, that's true. Legendary Pokémon like Articuno and Lugia are in a league of their own. Besides, some of them have entire tribes. Lugia's species, for example, spans across every ocean. Lugia isn't even a solitary being. You can find them almost anywhere in the seas, but only if they decide to appear."

Sophia nodded again. "Exactly. That's why Lugia is so frequently photographed in different parts of the world. And it's not just Lugia; many legendary Pokémon have their own tribes. Even the three legendary birds and the three sacred beasts aren't unique individuals. There are others like them."

She paused before adding, "Oh, and even Deoxys—despite being from space—has its own group. Most of them are dormant, sleeping in the ozone layer around the world. They occasionally gather for feasts when certain meteorites land on Earth."

Evan and Sophia chatted for a while about the mythical Pokémon, discussing their tribes and powers. As their conversation went on, Kirlia finally returned with her siblings.

"U~!"

Kirlia's cheerful sound marked its arrival with a newly evolved Gallade and another Kirlia by its side.

Seeing them, Evan paused his discussion with Sophia and began issuing instructions.

"Gallade, Kirlia, how about you help out in the store during the day? This area is in the suburbs, and if a store operates here, wild Pokémon might show up and cause trouble. Your job will be to watch the place, keep things in order, and protect Aunt Jenn and the others."

Sophia was taken aback by Evan's practicality and the confidence with which he managed the Pokémon.
