Violet was a headache.
It was rare to take a lazy vacation, but of course, trouble found her.
As a result, this happened.
"When can support arrive?"
"Madison, are there no other powerful Trainers in Water City?"
At this moment, Violet felt her head pounding.
Why did she always run into such bad luck?
The entire Water City was shrouded in dark clouds, signaling an impending storm.
Next to Violet stood Madison. The two were standing on the beach, watching as two Pokémon clashed fiercely in the sky and sea in the distance.
The battle was moving dangerously close to Water City.
If the combatants reached the city, the devastation would be catastrophic.
As a Trainer registered with the Pokémon Alliance, Violet had been in the area and was quickly summoned.
But the two Pokémon before her were far beyond her ability to subdue.
Even with Madison's help, the situation seemed hopeless.
Urgent reinforcements were necessary.
To make matters worse, the intense battle was causing Pokémon from the sea to flee onto the shore.
Not far from them, defeated Pokémon were already strewn across the sand.
Though the situation on land was temporarily under control, the real problem was still overhead.
Those "two silly birds" in the sky were none other than Articuno and Zapdos, locked in a fierce battle.
How had these two even crossed paths?
And now, of all places, they had started fighting in Water City, leaving Violet and Madison in a difficult spot.
Neither could intervene.
Despite everything, these two birds were still Legendary Pokémon.
Even as third-level Legendaries, their power was immense.
Taking down one would require at least two Champion-level Pokémon working together.
For Violet and Madison, controlling the situation was impossible.
Thus, the anxious question arose: when would reinforcements arrive?
Madison was equally troubled. "I've contacted the other Gym Leaders," she said.
"But the earliest support will take at least half an hour to arrive."
"Do you think we can hold out that long?"
Her tone betrayed her lack of confidence.
As a newly appointed Gym Leader, she had only one Elite-level Pokémon on her team.
Her predecessor had recently left on a journey, leaving her unprepared to face such a crisis.
Violet's presence was her only consolation, though even that wasn't enough to inspire much hope.
The city's police were already evacuating civilians and bracing for the worst.
Hearing this, Violet frowned deeply.
After a moment's thought, an idea struck her: Evan.
Without hesitation, Violet pulled out her phone and called Evan.
She had no other choice—Evan was a Psychic.
Perhaps he could use his abilities to communicate with these two "silly birds."
With this in mind, Violet sent him a video call request.
Evan, who had just bought furniture and was arranging for its delivery, was startled by the sudden call.
Seeing Violet's name pop up, he was filled with confusion.
What could she possibly need?
His curiosity growing, Evan answered the call.
"Violet!"
"What's going on? Do you need something?"
"Do you have time?"
"How would you feel about fighting a Legendary Pokémon?"
Evan was dumbfounded by Violet's rapid-fire questions.
"What? Fighting a Legendary Pokémon? Are you messing with me?"
Evan frowned, staring at Violet through the screen.
What was wrong with her today?
Without answering, Violet pointed her phone's camera toward the sea.
The battle in the distance was escalating.
Thunderstorms raged in the sky, while large sections of the sea were frozen over.
"Articuno and Zapdos?!"
"Where are you? What happened?"
Evan was shocked.
How had Violet ended up in the middle of this chaos?
It was rare for Legendary Pokémon to appear before humans, yet here they were.
Outrageous!
Once Violet finished showing him the scene, she turned the camera back to herself.
"As you can see," she said.
"I'm right at the edge of their battle.
"They're heading toward Water City, and support is still a while away.
"We can hold out for now, but things will only get worse."
"If you're free, can you come over?
"Use your Psychic abilities to communicate with these two idiots.
"Convince them to leave before it's too late."
Violet was growing increasingly irritable.
She had only just arrived, and now this chaos had unfolded.
In an aerial battle, even with Metagross and Aegislash on her side, she had no advantage against those two "idiots."
If it came to an actual fight, she would undoubtedly lose.
Evan was left speechless after hearing her situation.
"That's the neighboring city, right?"
He glanced toward Water City, his expression serious.
After sensing the area for a moment, he could indeed detect the unusual weather brewing there—dark clouds, swirling winds, and an ominous energy spreading outward.
This was ridiculous.
Two silly birds could create such a mess.
What would happen if something like a Gyarados or another massive Pokémon got involved?
That thought alone was unsettling.
Looking at the video Violet sent, Evan realized the two Legendary Pokémon seemed to be fighting over weather control.
If one of them succeeded, the entire surrounding area would be plunged into chaos.
Thunderstorms or blizzards could break out at any moment.
This was especially troubling for Evan—he couldn't afford this to affect the delicate saplings in his orchard.
With that thought in mind, he made a quick decision.
"Wait for me. I'll head there immediately."
Without giving Violet a chance to respond, he hung up the call.
Evan turned to Aunt Jenn and the others nearby.
"Aunt Jenn, I'll leave this to you. I need to step out for a bit."
After saying this, he rushed to the breeding house and called for Gardevoir, Gallade, and Pidgeot.
After some thought, he decided to bring all his Pokémon along.
This was a rare opportunity to let them experience something extraordinary—a clash between Legendary Pokémon.
"You're all coming with me," Evan announced.
"Gallade, Gardevoir, we're heading to Water City to stop the fight."
"Gardevoir, maybe you can use this chance to break through to the next level."
"Pikachu, you're coming too."
Without further explanation, Evan swiftly recalled his Pokémon into their Poké Balls, leaving only Pidgeot out.
His Pokémon were understandably confused.
Gallade and Gardevoir, in particular, were concerned.
At first, they thought their earlier actions had been discovered, but Evan's tone quickly eased their worry.
Still, the idea of stopping a fight between Legendary Pokémon left them puzzled.
What exactly had happened?
Before they could dwell on it, Evan had already put them away.
Once he finished preparing, he left instructions with his assistants to look after the breeding house and hopped onto Pidgeot.
"Let's go, Pidgeot! Full speed ahead to Water City!"
Pidgeot chirped in acknowledgment, immediately increasing its speed to the maximum.
