__________

Lena gave an order and quickly brought the Extremis virus.

"Give him an injection!"

Michael pointed at Chen Haoran.

Chen Haoran was stunned for a moment and felt a little worried.

"If you want to become stronger, just get the injection," Michael said calmly.

Chen Haoran gritted his teeth and nodded.

Lena said in surprise, "Give it to him?"

"Is there a problem?" Michael asked with a raised eyebrow.

Lena shook her head. "No, it's just that the virus is not stable and there is still a certain risk."

"If you don't even dare to take risks, how can you expect to become stronger?" Michael replied calmly.

"All right."

Since Michael had insisted, and Chen Haoran agreed, Lena didn't argue further. She only wanted to remind Michael to avoid any misunderstanding that she had deceived him if anything went wrong.

Soon, the Extremis virus was injected into Chen Haoran's body.

Chen Haoran's expression grew tense with pain, his body trembling as he struggled.

Lena and the researchers nearby watched him nervously, but Michael remained calm. He knew that Chen Haoran's platelets were unique, so there was no real danger from the Extremis injection. Looking around, Michael was already planning how to recruit them.

Though the researchers here weren't exactly moral, they had valuable skills. Their research would be useful for developing the R potion and other enhancements. If he could secure a stable production line, it would benefit both the Marvel world and any other universes he intended to explore.

"Hoo… Hoo… Hoo…"

Chen Haoran was breathing heavily and sweating profusely, but he was smiling.

He could feel a newfound power surging through him like never before. Standing up, he held out his hand, summoning a large fireball, dozens of times stronger than anything he'd conjured before.

"Try it and see how it works!" Michael encouraged him.

Excited, Chen Haoran turned and launched a fireball at the wall in the distance. The impact shattered it, sending gravel flying everywhere.

"Incredible power!" Chen Haoran said, thrilled.

"Not bad," Michael said, though he remained calm compared to Chen Haoran's enthusiasm. "Remember, being strong is only relative to your former self. Compared to others, you're still far behind."

"Yes, Boss!"

Chen Haoran felt like cold water had been poured over him. The excitement from his newfound power quickly subsided, bringing him back to reality.

Seeing Chen Haoran calm down, Michael didn't push him further. Gaining power often inflated one's confidence, especially for someone like Chen Haoran who'd never experienced anything like this. Staying grounded would be important.

"Why?" Lena looked at Chen Haoran in disbelief. Why could he also integrate with the Extremis virus?

"Want to know? Just follow me, and I'll tell you the reason," Michael said lightly.

"That's impossible!" Lena shook her head.

"Is it because of the Clairvoyant? I know you work for Clairvoyant. Do you really think Clairvoyant is omniscient and omnipotent? It's just a facade," Michael said with a sneer. "He's just an ordinary person, as are you. But I can make you extraordinary."

"I don't believe it!"

But Lena's denial wasn't convincing even to herself.

"No, you believe it. You're just afraid to admit it," Michael said confidently. "But when you finally see it for yourself, you'll understand. I'll give you time and opportunity. I hope, by then, you'll make the right decision. As for the people and equipment here—I assume you have no objections if I take them?"

"It's not like I could stop you even if I did," Lena replied.

"Correct."

Michael smiled and turned to Chen Haoran. "Contact Clarice and have her come to collect everyone and transport them to the ship."

"Yes!"

Chen Haoran was completely loyal to Michael, who had shown him the path to power and had even delivered on it.

"Can I go now?" Lena asked quietly.

"Of course."

Michael had high regard for Lena's abilities. Recruiting her would be ideal, but he knew she was smart and cautious—qualities that often made people harder to win over.

The researchers, though reluctant, knew better than to resist. If Lena didn't dare refuse Michael, they certainly wouldn't. It was clear that Michael hadn't brought them here to harm them; he needed their expertise for research, which kept them useful and alive. They understood this well.

After collecting everything from the lab and teleporting the people and equipment away, Michael decided not to return with them. Instead, he flew to find Daisy and temporarily rejoin the team.

He could leave the smaller details to Sarah and the others to handle, using this time to absorb more energy from the Aether and study the crystal that could harness fear.

Just as he was approaching the base, he saw a plane slowly taking off, heading out on a mission. Michael hovered in the air and waved at Melinda in the cockpit. Surprised to see him in his new gear, May nodded and motioned him to the back. The door of the plane opened, and Michael flew over, stepping inside.

Inside, Daisy, Jemma, Coulson, and the others were waiting.

The door closed, and Daisy immediately ran to embrace Michael.

Michael smiled, holding Daisy tightly before nodding to the others. After a moment, Skye stepped back.

"Are you back for good? Cancelling your leave?" Coulson asked, stepping forward.

"I suppose so," Michael replied with a smile.

"Daisy, do you mind if I borrow your boyfriend for a bit?"

"Not at all," Skye nodded.

Michael followed Coulson to his office. As he passed Jemma, he leaned over and whispered, "I brought you something nice!"

"Really? What is it?" Jemma asked, surprised.

"You'll see soon."

In Coulson's office, once they were seated, Coulson chuckled, "I heard your vacation was pretty eventful—you even brought back an alien spaceship. Maybe sometime you'll let me take a look at it? I've always wanted to see one up close."
