"I didn't expect to meet you here." Michael sat down and said casually, "Do you know what I thought the first time I saw you?"

"Maybe... tonight will be an unforgettable night?" Natasha said jokingly.

Yes, this acquaintance was Natasha.

With black leather pants, a black T-shirt, and a black leather jacket, she looked cool and full of charm.

Michael shook his head, "No, I was thinking SHIELD is pretty powerful. I just had an idea to randomly find a bar, and here you are, already waiting."

"Do you think I'm waiting here for you?" Natasha raised an eyebrow and shook her head, "You're mistaken. I'm not here because of you."

"Oh?" Michael opened a beer and handed it to her, then asked curiously, "Then why? Don't tell me you just came to drink!"

After saying that, Michael clinked his bottle with Natasha's and took a sip.

"What about you?" Natasha asked instead of answering.

"Me? I just came here to drink." Michael replied casually.

"See those people at the table on the left? Look at the bags on the chairs." Natasha suddenly whispered.

Michael glanced casually to the left and saw three young people drinking—two men and one woman. A travel bag sat on one of the chairs, with something like a stick sticking out of the zipper. It was too long to fit completely inside the bag.

"It seems you're not here just to drink." Michael turned back to Natasha, "Will my presence here interfere with your mission? I could... find another bar."

Natasha rolled her eyes at him, "You think I'm letting you leave now that you're here? Do you know what that stick is? It's something special, with some kind of magical power that makes people violent and angry. This group has killed several innocent people. My mission is to secure the stick and trace its origins."

"This shouldn't be difficult for you." Michael said, sounding unimpressed.

"Wouldn't it be easier with your help? Don't forget, you're a SHIELD consultant. Even if the title is mostly symbolic, you're still supposed to help, right?" Natasha asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't do things without benefit." Michael shook his head, "I really just came to drink."

"Do me this favor." Natasha looked at him, pleadingly, "When we're done, we can go somewhere quiet for a drink. How about that?"

Although Michael knew she probably didn't need his help, he couldn't say no. Especially with her looking at him like that. Even if he knew it was probably just "drinking," it still sparked his imagination.

"So what's the plan?"

Natasha smiled, "You agreed? This isn't the best place for a confrontation. Let's follow them somewhere less public and get the stick."

"Got it."

Michael responded lazily, taking his time with his drink.

He'd already recognized the stick from a glance. Originally, he thought he'd only encounter it by sticking around SHIELD operations, but it seemed Natasha had already tracked it down.

What a coincidence! He'd just come out for a drive and a drink, and this happens. It seemed like this thing was meant to be his. Helping Natasha was no big deal, but he had no intention of letting SHIELD keep the stick.

"How's your base?" Natasha asked casually while sipping her drink.

"Starting something from scratch isn't easy. I'm considering getting some extra hands to speed things up."

"If you tell Nick Fury, he'd be happy to assist."

"The problem is, I don't want his help." Asking Fury to help? Forget it. Fury would definitely cause trouble in the base. Besides, it's not easy to get help from him without strings attached.

"They're leaving."

The two drank and chatted, looking like just another attractive couple, so no one suspected anything. As Natasha whispered, the three people at the other table stood, picked up their bags, and headed out.

"Shall we?"

Michael stood up, and Natasha smiled as she got up, slipping her arm around his, half-leaning against him.

Soft and warm—there was no avoiding the contact.

"Keep your mind in check!"

Natasha seemed to sense what Michael was thinking. She gave him a sideways look as they left the bar together.

Outside, the two men and the woman headed for a nearby car, apparently getting ready to leave.

"Do you have a car?" Michael asked in a low voice.

"Nope. What about you?" Natasha asked, though she already knew the answer.

Michael took Natasha's arm and led her into a nearby alley. She was curious but didn't ask questions; she knew he had something planned.

"Hold onto me."

In the alley, Michael whispered.

Natasha wrapped her arms around his waist, pressing herself close against him.

"And now?"

Michael grinned, "Now? I'm going to show off and take you for a ride!"

As he spoke, a sphere of energy enveloped them both. Before Natasha could process what was happening, they lifted off the ground and began flying in the direction of the car.

"What is this?" Natasha asked, amazed.

They were moving fast, yet she didn't feel any strong wind or discomfort. If it weren't for the scenery moving past, she might have thought they weren't moving at all.

"What kind of power is this? This energy feels unique!" Natasha was curious. Could Michael have absorbed another power recently? She hadn't heard of him making any recent moves—except for leaving Earth.

"This is green light energy." Michael shook his hand, revealing a glowing ring on his finger, "It's called the Green Lantern Ring. It channels energy through willpower and imagination."

"Green Lantern Ring? So, you found this off-world?"
