Chereads / My Siren University Revenge System / Chapter 24 - It's Go Time

Chapter 24 - It's Go Time

"I see you're upset–" Mr Farlow began to talk but Sirena cut him short.

"What do you want?" Sirena glared as she crossed her arms, every vein so strained that they all threatened to snap as she could barely control her anger.

"Look at you, disrespecting an old man like me."

"How about you act your age then. If you do, maybe a young girl like me won't hurl insults at you." She replied back scornfully, staring at him with nothing but disdain.

"I must say, you've really changed. It's almost as if you're a different person."

"Why…why do you think that?" Sirena asked, panicking. Did he know something?

"I know you Sirena, and I know you've never truly hated me in the past but now, it doesn't seem that way. It looks as if you'd probably cut off my head if given the chance."

She calmed down, seeing that it wasn't what she was thinking. He was as clueless as everyone else.

"Maybe it's something I might actually do." She muttered.

"But you won't and can't."

Sirena was over seeing him at this point.

"Gosh! Why are we having this pointless conversation?!"

She ran her hands through her hair frustratedly. What the hell was the system up to? What is the damn task? She hated to be in his presence more than anything and hated the thought of them being as close as they were in that moment. If the system didn't make her do this, she would've kicked the daring old man and made a run for it. What would he possibly do anyway?

The thought stayed rent free in her head for a few seconds.

"Don't do it." Angel said from nowhere, and Sirena was way past reacting. It would take a while to get used to her new life but she was winging it.

"It's not a pointless conversation. I was going to tell you if you had let me." He replied cheekily and Sirena hated how enjoyable he found their interaction while she felt like throwing up.

"Well you can. Carry on." She said, the most excited to see the very end of the conversation. She wanted to leave his sight. She wanted to never see him again if possible but she could only dream.

"I want to strike a deal with you, young lady."

"Strike a deal with me? What do I look like?" She asked with an air of superiority.

"Like a spoiled princess that deserves to be put in her place."

"Well you're definitely right about that. I am in fact a spoiled princess but here's what you don't get."

"Oh, do tell." His devilish smile appeared, the one that will never fail to bring other girls to their knees. Every other girl but her. She was way past his charm as she knew how disgusting he was behind doors.

"You'll be the last person to ever put me in my place. The last." She glared, her heart leaping out of her chest due to tiredness. She was spent. So spent.

"I have so many plans for you now that I've seen this side of you. We'll discuss that later but for now, let's talk about this deal."

"Hmm. Go on." She replied back, not even curious at all.

"It's pretty simple. I'm your lecturer and I have every right to fail you for walking out of my lecture in a disrespectful manner. Your father will understand if I explain things to him. You've never stood a chance."

"Pfft," She hissed like an injured serpent. Get to the point."

"There's a racecourse just behind the university. Race against me and I'll leave you alone if you win. I'll stop hitting on you and I'll not fail you. I've waited for the longest time to make this proposal because I know the spoiled princess would never listen to anybody for no reason."

Sirena laughed to his face.

"You must be out of your mind if you think you'll get a deal out of me. You won't dare fail me and you better stop hitting on me."

She warned, pointing a finger at him.

"Let's call your father now. Whose side would be on?" He picked up his phone as if he wanted to make the call, waiting for her approval.

"Get lost." Sirena turned to walk away, but then it hit.

This was it. The task. This was the grand plan, and she was already losing.

"Even if I agree to this, when do we get to race?" She turned back to face him, trying her hardest to hide her desperation.

"Smart girl. Right now. This minute we leave." He replied like he was excited.

"What? Not even a couple of days to prepare?" She asked like she couldn't even believe her own ears.

"No princess. If it passes today, the deal is off. I heard you're the best so I'm simply letting you cheat me, yet you can't even do that?"

"Don't insult me. It's been a while." Sirena remembered that it was the old Sirena's favorite sport but she stopped and Sirena was sure that she couldn't do it. The system foresaw this and instead of helping her, it made her waste her precious points. Now, she was caught in the middle of the crossfire.

"You won't tell your father anyway, so let's just do it my way and move on from it. Deal?"

"You know I can't and I don't race anymore. I don't think this is fair, Mr Farlow." Her voice dropped and her face fell. She couldn't hide her sadness even if she wanted to.

"At least drop the formalities. Call me Eren."

"I'll never call you by your first name. Think of something else. I'm not race-car driving with you."

"You sound scared, as if you're so sure you'll lose. At the same time, you look as desperate as ever. Does this mean I actually have the upper hand in this?"

"I said, think of something else that we can do right now. I don't have time for these games."

"Already giving up. Typical of spoiled princesses. Scaredy cats. You can't achieve anything by yourself without daddy's money, and that's why you'll stand here and be at my beck and call because I'm settling for this car race and when you lose, I'll get to trample on you and make you my plaything until I have no more use of you."

Sirena raised her head up to see the face that matched the voice that spewed up such trash. The audacity stunned her and she was in complete denial, refusing to believe that Mr Farlow was actually talking to her.

"What did you just say to me?" She asked as if her ears failed her and her voice wavered.

"You heard me, Princess."

Sirena was at a loss for words. His words hit her right at the chest and she struggled to move past it as she thought of her next course of action. This man just insulted her and reduced her to nothingness, and she would never take it. This was the height of it!

He wants to race? He'll race!

Remembering that she could still purchase the racing car ability with her siren revenge points, she decided to waste it all if it meant that she would show this crazy man what she's got.

Sirena was back, and boy was she mad.

She was enraged and she would never let another man treat her like trash.

"Angel. I would like to purchase another skill." She said softly so Mr Farlow won't notice.

The hologram appeared before her.

[Host, you've wasted five siren points because you picked the wrong skill. For this, two siren points have been deducted from your wallet and you have eight left. Make your decision and purchase.]

Sirena scoffed. She didn't care. At this point, she wanted to ruin the man in front of her, even if it was with her last siren points. Anything at all.

She scrolled through the skills for the one she was looking for and Immediately she made the purchase.

It's go time.

"Let's go." She said immediately she felt like a race car warrior.

"What was that?" He asked, as if he didn't hear her initially.

"I. Said. Let's. Go."
