"Is it true that the world of gods, swords, and magic really exists?"
"Of course it's true. However, those things do not exist in this world. This world is still the ordinary world you know, where humanity dominates everything through technology. The gods, swords, and magic I mentioned before are all in the world I come from, not here."
"So, it's not incorrect to say that swords and magic do not exist because that power does not belong to this world."
As Altair explained, he retracted the lightsaber and handed it back to Saeko.
"This sword is not entirely a product of technology; the battery that provides energy is essentially a magic stone. This sword could also be considered a magic sword."
"I didn't expect that everything you brought is from the world of swords and magic."
Saeko took the lightsaber, her eyes filled with astonishment just like the first time she met Altair.
"So that's why you've been wearing light armor and this strange outfit; it's actually normal attire from your world."
"Exactly."
Altair nodded. Even though he had been cooperating with the governments, he had continued to wear his light armor during this time, while Saeko had already changed into military special forces gear, as she couldn't fight in her school uniform all the time.
"And then there's the person I like."
Hmm, the second key point was coming, and Saeko felt a bit nervous.
"I just told you that in my world, gods come down from Heaven to take humans as their children. The god who establishes a Familia is the Head of that Familia and the person I like is the Head of my Familia, Hestia."
"Hestia, the Goddess of the Hearth from Greek mythology?"
"That's right, she is the one I like."
When Hestia was mentioned, a doting smile appeared on Altair's face.
"She looks like a somewhat confused little girl, very cute, and she treats me very well. Everything I have today is largely thanks to her blessings; she is the person I like most in that world."
"I see, so it turns out she's a goddess."
Saeko felt a bit despondent. She didn't expect her rival to be a goddess; how could she compete with that?
"But I also really like you, Saeko!"
Seeing Saeko's expression, Altair understood he needed to say something more.
"When I was leveling up, I received a mission to save this world. The moment I arrived here on the first day, I met you. Just like I said earlier, the moment I saw you, I was drawn to you. I admit, I'm a scumbag; I still deeply love Hestia, but at the same time, I've come to like you, and I want to have you."
Altair stood up, his heart racing. Unlike the time he confessed to Hestia in the other world, this was his second confession to Saeko.
Although Altair had already raised Saeko's affection level to a high value two months ago, he couldn't be sure that his scumbag intentions would be understood by her.
But having come to this world and encountered a character he liked, how could he not fight for it? He wasn't sure if this would be the only opportunity in his life.
Facing Saeko, Altair extended his right hand.
"Saeko, be my wife and come with me!"
Gathering his courage, Altair made the bold declaration.
Having said it, he waited there for Saeko's response; would she accept his scumbag behavior, or would she slap him and tell him to get lost?
Faced with Altair's assertive scumbag declaration, Saeko was also stunned. She hadn't expected that after Altair told her all this, he would still want her to come with him so directly.
"Altair-kun, are you serious?"
"Absolutely. I don't want to give you up. I like you, so I hope you can come with me."
Saeko looked seriously into Altair's eyes as if trying to discern something. After a while, she helplessly lowered her head and sighed.
"Altair-kun, you are cunning."
"Saeko?"
Altair's eyes lit up. Did this mean she was agreeing!?
"This world has already become like this. Even if you save it, everything I knew is gone. At this time, you are the only familiar thing to me. Besides, didn't I say that from that day on?"
Saeko placed her hand in Altair's palm.
Holding Saeko's hand, Altair couldn't help but grin. His scumbag behavior had succeeded!
"Altair-kun, please take care of me from now on."
"Sure, let's take care of each other."
With his new wife in hand, Altair felt no need to stay in this world any longer. After saying his goodbyes to everyone, he had Saeko pack her things and put them in his 4D Pocket. Then, the two of them left this world together.
Once again, they stood before the deep blue portal. In the basement of the church, Altair's lab was just as it had been... a black-and-white world where the portal appeared out of nowhere. Altair held Saeko's hand as they walked through the portal. After they landed, the portal slowly shrank and disappeared. The moment it vanished, the world regained its colors.
Looking at everything familiar before him and then glancing at Saeko beside him, Altair smiled happily.
"Come on, Saeko, let me take you to meet Hestia. She might still be sleeping in bed right now."
With Saeko, they left the lab together. Altair asked Saeko to wait in the living room while he went to find Hestia in the bedroom.
When Altair left, Hestia was sleeping, and when he returned, the time in this world hadn't changed; Hestia was still in her sleeping state.
Sure enough, when he opened the bedroom door, the first thing he saw was Hestia drooling as she hugged a blanket.
After two months apart, Altair truly missed her. He couldn't help but squat down and reach out to touch Hestia's face.
"My dear wife, I'm back."
