Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

As Jeff Anzon drifted in the sea for an hour he was totally unconscious, a man in the airport with black hair with a handsome mature face gazed at the time wondering why the flight was taking so long?

Besides him sat a beautiful and elegant woman, her long black hair cascading down to her waist.

She wore a simple dress, but the worry in her eyes was evident. "Honey, is there something wrong? The flight is taking too long. Did some problems occur?" she asked in a worried tone.

Her name was Rose Anzon, Jeff's mother. He was a composed man in a business suit, Evan Anzon—Jeff's father, who he'd just spoken to on the phone.

"Honey, just relax," Evan said, reaching out to place a hand on Rose's shoulder.

"The weather is clear today, there's no reason to worry about his flight." He was doing his best to keep her calm, even though he still looked tense.

Five long hours later, an uneasy silence settled over them. Despite Evan's reassurances, dread had begun gnawing at him too.

He saw Rose's hands shaking as she nervously checked her phone again and again, searching for any updates.

Suddenly, Evan's phone buzzed. He answered immediately, his voice was that anticipation.

"Yes?"

"Master—there's, there's been an accident. The plane your son was on... it went down," came the hesitant voice on the other end.

Hearing this, Evan felt his chest tighten, his mind going blank. Rose turned to him, her face pale as if sensing the news even before he spoke.

She staggered, her hand covering her mouth, eyes wide with shock and terror.

The two people behind them, with their keen hearing, clearly heard the conversation. As they quickly assisted them.

Evan then snapped out of his shock and immediately called the owner of the airport responsible for the flight.

His power and influence in this world were unmatched, and he expected quick action.

"Mr. Anzon, how can I assist you?" the CEO answered, his voice was very respectful, wondering why the big shot is calling him again.

"My son was on that flight that you have booked yesterday, from what I requested. I need a detailed report on what happened, and I want every resource available to ensure he will comeback alive," Evan commanded.

"Understood, Mr. Anzon. We are mobilizing all available resources and personnel to locate the plane and rescue young master and any survivors. I will personally oversee the operation and keep you updated on every development," the man assured, with sweats pouring in his forehead.

"Remember this, if my son cannot be found after 1 day. Say goodbye to your job" Evan then hung up, his mind racing with worry.

He turned to Rose, gripping her hand tightly. "We'll find him. I promise," he said, his voice resolute despite the fear in his eyes.

Evan's phone buzzed again, as he called the people under his wing. "Yes, sir," the voice on the other end said knowing what his master is going to order, he rushingly replied, "we're mobilizing every operative and resource globally."

"Good. I want everything under my name dedicated to finding my son. Every resource, every connection. I don't care what it takes. Even if…" Evan's voice faltered for a moment, and he took a steadying breath.

"Even if just his body, bring him back to us… I need to know this are we clear!"

"Yes, sir. We'll do everything possible," the voice replied with a resolute voice.

With that, a massive global search began. Military and private aircraft crisscrossed the skies, fleets of ships and underwater vessels combed the oceans, and every possible radar and tracking system was engaged to locate the downed plane.

Meanwhile, on a quiet, deserted shoreline, a figure lay at the water's edge. A young man was sprawled on the sand, his clothes dried and stiff from the sun.

Slowly, his eyes fluttered open, squinting at the sky as he regained consciousness.

Disoriented, he sat up, his gaze was hazy, and his muscles were weak and aching. He took in the scene around him, blinking as the sun climbed high overhead.

As he looked at the endless blue of the ocean and the horizon beyond, he became fully awake, the memory of what happened made him overly conscious.

As he stood up, he saw that he was on a beach. As he looked back, he was stunned because it was a forest. A sense of foreboding washed over him.

He looked back again, and terror gripped him. There were no islands on the horizon. No ships, nothing. Literally nothing.

"Don't tell me I'm stuck here?" he said in shock.

His legs weakened, forcing him to sit down. He slowly took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He slowly closed his eyes and digested this information.

The plane crashed. He was stuck on the island. He had to accept this reality, rather than ignoring it and thinking it was a dream.

With a gaze filled with determination, he stood up once again and observed the surroundings. As he walked to the sand, he felt the cool, refreshing waves drench his feet. Suddenly, something caught his eye.

"Is that a suitcase?" he exclaimed, a happy expression spreading across his face.

He dived deep into the water, and when his feet no longer touched the ground, he swam rapidly, reaching the suitcase.

Suddenly, he heard a splashing sound in the depths of the water. As he looked at the source, he saw a fin as big as a grown man's forearm.

"Shit, is that a shark?" He spoke loudly, truly terrified.

With adrenaline coursing throughout his body, he was like a living speedboat. Swimming frantically to the shore, the shark also increased its pace but was a step slow.

Jeff had already stepped foot on the sand below. He hurriedly pulled himself up out of the water and jumped to escape. His body was cold as he looked back.

He saw that the shark had stopped. Not stupid enough to chase its food off-shore, the shark was very wary of Jeff's presence.

"Fuck, I almost died," he spoke loudly, gasping for air.

The shark then went back into the depths of the sea, leaving him behind. Seeing the shark was gone, he was angry, but he couldn't fight the shark in a one-on-one battle. That wasn't possible.

"This better be worth it," he said, glancing at the suitcase he was holding tightly. He opened it, and his face broke into a grin.

He was very happy to see its contents. There were a bunch of clothes, and best of all, they were men's clothes that fit him perfectly. The best part was that he saw an axe, a fire axe!

This made him very happy since he now had a weapon to survive.

He stood up and swung the axe with both hands, making a gust of wind in the air. After stopping for a few minutes, he was very satisfied with this tool.

"I should gather resources like cutting trees to make a shelter, and make some fire while gathering food," he muttered inwardly, having some basic survival instincts.

If you are stuck on an island, it's better to gather resources and work while your body is still strong and healthy.

Rather than waiting for a few day, then it will be too late, since health is important out here. He then went to the nearest palm tree to test the sharpness of his axe.

With a bad and clumsy stance, he swung the axe high in the air and hacked down with force. As it hit the palm tree, it shook.

To his satisfaction, he saw that he had indented the tree with just one swipe.

But suddenly...

Ding!
