Kol's ears ring, he can't hear anything. Looking down David is trying to pry the man off of him. Kol turned; the basket of bread was already wet from the rain. He then turns to June who is standing behind them. She was looking at where the crash was, her face pale.
'What is going on?' he thinks as panic sets in.
He snaps out of it.
"We have to go. David, we have to," Kol shouts, his voice muffled by the rain.
The heavy rain obscured Kol's vision, someone appeared to have climbed the docks. He sluggishly stood up and walked towards the group. Then, a harpoon shoots out of the water, piercing the man through his chest. Buckets of blood gushing out of him. Gargling blood, the man tried to scream. But he couldn't. The chains attached to the harpoon tightened, then the man was pulled back into the water.
'Fuck.'
A figure leaped onto the docks from the sea, then another one further ahead. They were bipedal, their skin looked taught, covered in scales similar to a fish, though to them it looked like armor. They wore no clothes; rusted chains circled their shoulders connected to the end of a harpoon held by their webbed hands. They bore no neck their head resembled that of a carnivorous fish.
'What are is that?' Kol thought, seeing the creature engage in combat with the guards. Soon the sound of spears and harpoons clashing could be heard.
Killing one of the guards by impaling its rusted harpoon through his stomach upwards, its tip jutted out the man's jaw. The man falls limp on the creature's weapon.
Soon another guard came to aid his buddy who was taking on the two monsters by himself.
The guards were trained men of the island. They can hold their own against these two, even managing to wound them, but due to the heavy downpour, these men came no close to killing any of these monsters without additional aid.
Another figure came out of the water near Kol and his friends. Its eyes were as giant as a plate. it darted around, then fell onto Kol near the edge of the docks. It opens its mouth, the long rows of teeth yellowed from poor hygiene. Salivating.
'Shit. We have to move' Kol Thought.
The creature leaped in their direction. Within a few seconds, it was already behind David, who was helping the swimmer.
With both of its webbed hands, it stabs the harpoon right through David's thigh. Rivers of blood gushed from the wound. David screamed in pain accompanied by a horrified look as he saw the creature in front of him.
Without a second thought, Kol summoned the magic circle onto his palm, pointing towards the creature that stabbed David, the magic shatters. Out came 3 purple butterflies rushing through the air and hitting the creature directly on its back. Its body jerked on impact, then turned to Kol removing the harpoon from David's leg. David screams again.

'It didn't even cut it. Damn.' Kol thought as he stared down the pointed edge of the harpoon.
The creature pulled back its arms holding the harpoon, hoping to do the most damage.
All of a sudden, a whip of electricity wrapped itself around the creature's head, forming what looked like a leash.
Following the leash, Kol saw it was June who conjured it. She pulled on the leash and the creature was dragged across the docks by its neck, if it had any. Writhing in pain with constant jolts of electricity.
'Good job.' Kol thought.
A man's scream cuts Kol's thoughts, as he sees him with a harpoon protruding through his neck. The creature sees Kol. It throws the guard's limp body away, then runs towards the Kol.
'Another one? Really?'
There were two of these creatures, one June had by a leash, and the other was running towards them after disposing of two guards. The sound of weapons clashing behind the one running towards them, made Kol realize that there were more of these creatures fighting other guards around the dock, because of the heavy rain Kol and the others couldn't see anything past a few meters.
The creature stopped running as a ball of magical fire zips through the air past the creature. It missed. It then turned and gave out a gargling high-pitched scream and continued running. This time towards David. It was he who shot the ball of fire.
"Run. Hurry!" Said, David on the floor holding his thigh with one hand and the other pointed at the creature. "Run and get help!" his voice strained.
Fear and paranoia have Kol standing in place. His mind races at multiple possibilities and consequences. Their vision was obscured by the heavy rain, sounds were muffled by screams and clashing. The storm was a big factor In this attack, though it couldn't affect magical flames, it did its job by turning the battlefield to the fishmen's advantage.
The swimmer that David helped got up. And ran towards town screaming.
Kol turned to June; she was struggling. The fish tried to attack her, but his harpoon managed to wound her left shoulder. A choice was now laid in front of him. Help June or David.
Kol summoned his magic again and shattered in his hand pointing towards the creature running towards David.
'She can handle herself.' Kol thought.
A swarm of purple butterflies appeared from purple smoke and surrounded the fish, biting it. But the fish just swatted them away.
-it wasn't enough.

"What does it take to kill you bastards!" Kol screamed out of desperation.
"Kol!" June's voice muffled by the rain.
Kol turned to see June, her arm bloodied and breathing heavily. He looked down to see the fish no longer struggling, her whip out of sight. Its eyes are grey with its mouth open. It was dead.
'She can kill them,' Kol thought.
With barely enough of a plan, Kol was desperate. But it gave him a sense of direction to lean towards.
'All I have to do is bring them to her.' he said to himself.
Kol focuses on the incoming fish man. The creature glowed, but the light shrunk every time the creature moved. After timing the glow, Kol found his target.
Kol focuses on the spell and recites it by memory. A green glow wrapped around Kol's hand forming the familiar runes, and then it shatters. Revealing a sickly green beam of light striking the creature on its weak spot. The gills it used to breathe are located above its shoulder and connected to the head.
The beam of light strikes true, solidifying for a fraction of a second then turns liquid.
It was Peter's poisonous spell.
