Rosseler stands. "I will be teaching the three of you the basics of being a wizard, then if you want, I can recommend you to another teacher or school." He says as he snaps his fingers and a piece of paper suddenly appears floating in front of the students. "The course I give will be grueling and dangerous. In other schools my course will be stretched out for 1 year but with me it will only take 6 months. In front of you will be a contract that you have to sign in case something unplanned happens."
Immediately both David and June grabbed the quills on the table and signed.

Kol on the other hand with trained eyes who've read books since he could remember was able to take glimpses of phrases in the contract.
"It says here 'in case of loss of life, limbs, or cognitive function the contractor is not liable nor will he compensate the student.'" Kol reads out loud. "Are you telling me we could die?"
"Of course, magic is unstable. Practicing it is always a gamble especially for firsts years like you." Rosseler rays as he reaches out and grabbing the quill on the table and giving it to Kol.
Now I see why he doesn't have many students. Kol thinks to himself. Looking at David to the side with a shock expression in his face now being able to read the entire contract almost as if he signed it without reading or thinking what it could entail. June on the other hand remain emotionless almost as if she wasn't concerned that she could die.
"Just don't think about it." Rosseler says showing the quill to Kol.
How could Kol not think about it? He is already in constant alert because of his curse and now he will be subjected to constant harm while under the tutelage of this person in front of him. The thought of his promise with Nicole is what pushed him to come here in the first place despite the danger the thought of disappointing Nicole that he gave up when she returns keeps ringing in his mind.
Refusing to disappoint Nicole he grabs the quill and signs the paper.
"Great!" Rosseler exclaims as he sits back down. "Well then students, I have a gift for you."
Rosseler walks out of the room, then after a few minutes he comes back with 3 books stack on top of each other and lays them down on the table in front of them.
Each book is covered in brown leather with no designs but what caught everyone's eyes were the about of pages it must've been a thousand just from the looks of it.
"First lesson to becoming a wizard. You should have your own Spell book." Rosseler says as he grabs one of the books and starts flipping through the pages showing everyone it is blank. "Your spell book will be your bread and butter in a bad of good situation. As young wizards you should record everything that you encounter involving magic. Trust me it will help you in the future. List all the spell you encounter, description of magic you see people cast, experiments involving magic, potion ingredients, magic items, and so on and so forth. Of course, you can always buy a new blank book if the one you have got lost but the knowledge you've collected so far will be lost as well."
Rosseler then passes everyone a book. "This book is a book I give all my students. It is enchanted by me so that when you do reach the last page it will produce more pages."
Kol grabs his book and is surprised by its weight. He had never read a book with this many pages before the only thing that could come close would be the book Nicole stole for the aptitude test, he asked Kol to read when they were young. If this book was filled Kol wonders how long would it take him to read it cover to cover.
"Now that you have your books, I want you all to follow me into the library." Rosseler stands and starts walking.
Rosseler's library is the same room Kol had seen as he went inside. Multiple rows of shelves filled with book and plants together, insects can even be seen making its way in between books. Kol couldn't help but feel sadness as he sees the sorry state of the books.
"I believe in the saying "doing by learning." Rosseler says as he gestures to the shelves. "Before I teach you some basic spells, I want you to try to learn and practice them on your own. For the next 3 days you will spend your entire day here in my personal library researching, practicing and learning any spells you find. These books are spell books I have stumbled upon, bought or stole from other wizards throughout my life, and now I give you access to their knowledge as well, but you cannot bring the books outside from this library. While you guys go read, I will be sitting right here, in case you need me."
The books in the church's library are nothing compared to the knowledge kept in these books. Excited Kol was the first to walk towards the shelves and started skimming through the different titles.
(Perception D20) - 8
After looking around a book catches his eye. It was covered in plain black leather with the title 'Petter, Aged Killer.' Opening the book the first thing Kol Saw was a poster of a person. It was a human male and although the sketch looked old the person looked somewhere in his 30s. he wore spectacles and short mustache with a big Wanted sign over the top of the ketch.
This person was a criminal. Although the thought never crossed his mind but after entertaining the idea, of course there were wizards who are criminals. Nobody in this world was entirely good and wizard or not people still committed crimes. This is something Kol has never read before, always read holy books from the church and this made Kol curious what kind of magic would a criminal use.
Opening the book and skimming through it, Kol realizes that this book not only contains this man's spells and experiments but detailed descriptions of his crime and acts. This book wasn't just a spell book for this man, no. It was his diary.
