"I don't think I have introduced myself, but I am Jason Lannister. It's truly nice to meet you, princess."
Rhaenyra turned toward the source of the voice, only to see a man standing proudly with his chest out. He had blonde hair and a beard, with his green eyes shining brightly with pride and arrogance.
Rhaenyra was a bit startled but nodded her head. She scrutinized him for a moment before saying, "Your brother serves in the council."
"Yes, he does," Joason replied, coming a little closer, "but he is a bit boring, really, always serious." He joked.
Rhaenyra widened her lips, trying to show a fake smile.
Jason, turning toward Aegon, bowed a little and greeted, "Prince Aegon."
But Aegon didn't say anything; he just stared at the Lannister, which the man didn't care much about.
Instead, "Tell me, princess. Were there as many as this on your name day?"
Rhaenyra's eyes twitched a little; she tightened her arms, hugging Aegon closer as she said, "I don't actually remember, and I don't think Aegon will do as well."
"Ah!" Jason exclaimed as he nodded his head, "Have you ever been to Casterly Rock, princess? I am planning to make another dragon pit there." He said as he eyed Rhaenyra.
Rhaenyra frowned as she couldn't understand why he would need a dragon pit. 'Do the Lannisters have dragons?' She wondered.
Jason was about to continue, but Aegon cut him off and exclaimed, "Sister, Out!" He said as he pointed his finger outside.
"Sister, Out!" He said again as he leaned outward, stating his desire to go outside.
Rhaenyra was startled at her brother's sudden excitement; she looked at Jason and said, "Forgive me, but I have to go." She said and left Jason alone with his thoughts.
'Phew, avoided a big bomb right there!' Aegon sighed inwardly.
By Jason asking for Rhaenyra's hand in marriage, she becomes furious and storms off after fighting with her father, which only makes her believe that she was just a replacement.
Rhaenyra walked outside the tent, carrying Aegon. She could see the meat served in the corner, a fresh scent of spices, herbs, and meat filling her nose.
Aegon looked around curiously, his eyes scanning the woods, and soon enough, he found what he was looking for.
Pointing his finger toward them, he said, "Sister!"
Rhaenyra looked toward the direction Aegon pointed, and her eyes widened a little.
"You really want to go there?" she asked, looking at him.
"Mhhm!" he hummed as he nodded his head cutely.
Rhaenyra smiled a little as she walked toward the pointed direction.
"Happy?" she asked as she reached the two horses, one white and another black.
Aegon shook his head at his sister's question and replied, "Horse, Aegon, sister!"
Rhaenyra frowned as she didn't understand what her little brother was saying; she looked at her brother, who was patting the horse with his tiny hands, and asked, "you want to ride on a horse?"
Aegon's eyes sparkled at her question as he nodded his head vigorously and said, "Yes, Aegon, ride the horse with sister!"
Rhaenyra hesitated; she didn't want to do that because if anything happened, she would be blamed.
"No, your mother will kill me!" Rhaenyra reasoned. But Aegon was adamant, "No! Sister, Aegon, horse!" he protested as he gripped the horse's hair with his tiny hands.
"No, we are not going to ride on a horse!" Rhaenyra was stubborn too.
"No!"
"No!"
.
.
.
.
"No!"
The siblings exchanged a series of 'No' while glaring at each other. Both are more stubborn than the other.
'Hmm, it's not working,' Aegon mused as he glared at his sister, 'I have to use my ultimate dragon attack trump card!'
WAAAH WAAAH
Rhaenyra was startled by Aegon crying suddenly; tears streamed down his cheeks as he clutched the horse's hair tightly.
Her lips were pressed together while her purple eyes glared at her little brother with frustration.
"Ahh! Fine! Don't cry!" Rhaenyra caved; she looked at Aegon, hoping for him to stop crying, but was flabbergasted when Aegon stopped immediately.
He let go of the horse's hair, hugged Rhaenyra by her neck, and said while giggling, "Sister, best!"
Her eyes widened when she realized that she had been fooled by a two-year-old; she stared at her brother and muttered under her breath, "cunning bastard!" which Aegon heard but ignored.
They both got on the horse with the help of the servants nearby, and Rhaenyra tugged the horse to go slow.
The people watched with curious eyes as the princess and the prince shared a ride. Quite a few ladies were enamored by Aegon's giggle as he rode with his sister.
Rhaenyra too had a small smile tugging at her lips, which faltered when she heard her brother's words, "Sister, fast!"
"No!" Rhaenyra immediately rejected, her eyes glaring as she showed her stance on the matter, "we're not going to go fast! This is final!" Squinting her eyes at him, she continued, "I am not going to be fooled this time."
Aegon's little eyes watered as he looked at his sister, his small lips quivering while his voice cracked as he said, "P-Please."
The ladies around felt an arrow pierce their hearts when they witnessed their prince's cuteness.
Rhaenyra too was almost convinced by his act, but reluctantly she steeled her heart and insisted, "No, we're not riding fast."
Aegon's eyes watered while looking at his stern sister. "I am not going to get convinced!" Rhaenyra said again.
"Hmph," Aegon snorted as he hugged Rhaenyra, burying his face in her stomach, causing the ladies and Rhaenyra to chuckle.
Rhaenyra continued with the horse ride for a few minutes before she got down.
Aegon still had a pout on his face and refused to look at his sister.
Watching this, Rhaenyra smirked to appease him by saying, "How about this? Once you get older, I will take you flying on Syrax."
Aegon's eyes widened; they sparkled with intense surprise as he asked, "Really?"
CHUCKLE
Rhaenyra chuckles as she reassures, "Yes, really."
"Yay!" Aegon exclaimed as he hugged his sister tightly. They both laughed as they walked into the tent.
And what she heard made all of Aegon's work go down the drain.
Aegon's eyes widened as he gritted his teeth inwardly, 'Motherfucker!'
