With the help of the workers who started working with full potential the following day Erika now can get her hands on 10 new rifles each day. Though it may not be on the same level as a fully industrialized nation and it is not very efficient to have and sustain a large army, but it was enough for her. However she had plans for machineguns, submachineguns and artillery. "No, I have keep it realistic and small at first. My craftsmen are not fully familiar ,with the bolt action rifles. Putting them t make complex machineguns and artillery will only cause problems." But as for Erika she plans for having one or two regiments at most and was planning to structure each regiment around 2300 men with some artillery. But even this was impossible at the moment. The first day of the weapons making plan went smoothly with some minor hiccups that she had expected to come. Still her newly trained workers were able to make five fully operational rifles and even some 30 bullets to fire. "Now my arsenal has 10 rifles including 5 from the workers and 5 by myself. And almost a 100 bullets." She was lying in her bed at this moment in her dimly lit room, thinking what to do next. The room was dark and the lights were out it was just her lying in her bed in white nightgown. There was not a hint of sleep in her eyes. She was both excited and afraid. The day was exhausting. She had to show her workers herself how to process the guns. Their barrels, their bolts, springs, trigger mechanism everything. Emil and Bauer were not much help in these technical aspects but they did help to assemble the manufactured parts. She was still happy about it. But the fact that her day of meeting the prince was growing ever closure has swept away all hints of happiness from her. Anxious as she was, she still tried to think things clearly. "Yes with the weapons production now becoming steady, I have to find the manpower for my 'Wehrmacht'. A regiment or two is simply impossible at this moment. I have to start slow. Her mind raced with ideas. "I need a way to increase my income… Maybe start a business?" But what kind of business could she run? She didn't have an answer yet. Pushing the thought aside, she focused on her next immediate task. "For now, I'll train the soldiers I can afford. They'll be the core of my force, I shall use them as officers and trainers for new recruits in the future." However, this was her conclusion for this topic for the time being. But she had another graver problem to worry about. With her brows frowned and head on the forehead, she started to rack her brain for everything she can Remember about the prince from the game. "That's right the first prince, later the crown prince of Hohenstaufia is someone who is very caring at least as far as the game goes. He is tall, blonde and handsome just the type of guy any girl would like." At this thought her mind swayed to the scenes from the game in her previous life. Her cheeks turned read and heart flustered. She for a split second thought how good it would be if she were the heroine after all she is a girl as well. "NO NO wake up me." as she slapped herself out from the dream she could feel the slight pain on her cheeks which turned a little red. "That guy is your worst enemy, the cause ruins for not only you but everyone you hold dear." With this she started thinking of her 'cancel engagement' strategy. " I have to make sure that he doesn't like me but also don't come to hate me too much." Suddenly an idea popped her in her head. "YES! That's it. The prince in the game didn't like the haughty noble girls who would just think of clothes, jewelry, make-ups and boast about their status and power. The Erika in this stage of the game didn't really understand such things so the prince liked her. But if I start acting like such a noble girl he will cancel the engagement immediately." Erika was feeling proud of herself thinking that this strategy of her might actually work. "Good work me." She thought as she patted herself. At this moment she looked like a real 10 year old who was just boasting herself. "As for the recruitment of troops, I will leave them to Emil tomorrow. Now its time to sleep." She went to sleep happily as she was able avoid her doom or as she thought.
Sun was shinning outside. It was a clear sunny day. Bauer, removed the curtains from the huge glass window and the first sunshine of the day fell directly on Erika's face. Her brows frowned and she cover her eyes with her hands. "Good morning milady. It seems you had a very good night sleep. The madam is waiting for you at breakfast. So please come down quickly." Erika though sleepy pulled herself out from her bed. "AAAhhhh," she yawned. While bending her arms above her head to break her sleepiness. "Please refrain from doing such things milady, this is not very lady like." Bauer said with a gentle smile on her face which she covered with her hand while fixing the bed. "Okay okay I understand. Geez sometimes you feel like my teacher rather than a maid." "It is also my job to guide you milady." With this Erika left the room and went down to have breakfast with her mother. "Good morning my dear, how are you feeling today?" Erika's mother asked with a bright smile while sitting in her chair at the dinning table as soon as she got down from her room. Though it was customary for the lower ranking one to greet first, she didn't care when it came to her immediate family members. "Good morning mother. I am fine and I feel very energetic today." Erika replied. "Oh that's good to hear. Now lets eat before the food gets cold."
After breakfast Erika went to the backyard of the castle. She met with Bauer and Emil who were practicing with their hand-to-hand combat skills with some of her father's knights. "Emil, have an important task for you." Erika said. It seemed something serious. There was not a hint of an innocent 10 year old girl on her face. "I want you to recruit some trusted men from the town today. At least 10 but no more then 12. I want to start with the training for men from today." Emil thought for a second, "Do you have any criteria for these men milady?" Erika thought for few seconds. Her right hand was on her chin supported by her left hand. After some thinking she replied, "Yes, I do have criteria set for the men. Make sure they are trustworthy." She explained the military requirements necessary like physical strength, Height, weight and past criminal records. "Wow those are some very daring requirement milady. I think it will be hard to come up with such men." Emil said with a very serious tone. "Also why don't you just use the knights?" Emil added. "No knights are necessary to protect the territory and its law and order. I can't use them for my personal goals." Erika answered seriously. "Alright I understand." Emil bowed and left. With this Erika was free for the day. But she couldn't rest easy. So with nothing to do, she thought something in her mind, "I should use this free time to come up with the training manual for the soldiers. This will ease things up for me." She went to the library and started to read the available books on warfare and knightage, mixed them up with her own knowledge and wrote a mixed new 'Wehrmacht Training Manual'.
