Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

My alarm went off, waking me up instantly. "Shit!" Today was the day, a mix of excitement and anxiety went through me like a jolt of electricity. I took a shower and headed down. But as I looked around our living room, I stopped, seeing the chaos that surrounded me. My mom was in full-on panic mode, and I was caught in her frantic energy.

"Where's your other shoe?" she called out from inside my bedroom, when did she even get in there? I could hear her rummaging through my closet, the sound of clothes rustling and hangers clanging echoing in the air.

"I thought I packed them!" I replied, looking into the living room where my suitcase lay half-open, clothes spilling out like a scene from a tornado. The clock on the wall ticked, reminding me that we had less than an hour to get to the airport.

I dashed back to my room, stepping over piles of books and a random collection of rual textbook she's uses to teach that had somehow ended up there. "Mom! It's time to go!" I shouted, feeling my own impatience. I glanced at my slightly wrinkled dress shirts, crammed haphazardly into the suitcase, and sighed.

"Just a second!" she yelled, her voice muffled as she emerged from the bedroom, triumphant, holding a mismatched pair of shoes—one black, one blue. "These will have to do!"

I couldn't help but laugh at the sight. "Mom, those don't even match!" I protested, trying to keep the mood light amidst the frenzy.

"Who cares? You're going to boarding school, not a fashion show!" she shot back, tossing them into the suitcase like a magician revealing her latest trick. I shook my head, but the urgency of the moment kept me focused.

"Did you pack my laptop charger?" I asked, suddenly remembering how vital that little piece of equipment would be for my studies.

"Of course! I just saw it—" she started, but her voice trailed off as she rifled through the disheveled contents of the suitcase. I could see her searching through a tangle of socks and shirts, a determined look on her face.

"Mom, we only have thirty minutes!" I said, my heart racing as I glanced at the clock again. It felt as though time was slipping away, and I could practically hear the ticking growing louder.

"Okay, okay! Let's get moving!" she exclaimed, full of purpose. We both jumped to our feet, and in a hurry of movement, I grabbed the suitcase while she snatched her purse and a bag filled with snacks—because, of course, snacks were essential for a long journey.

The drive to the airport felt like a scene from an action movie. My mom speed down the streets with an intensity that I had never seen before. "Hold on!" she yelled as she swerved into the lane, narrowly avoiding a slow-moving car. "We are not missing that flight!"

I couldn't help but laugh nervously as I gripped the handle of the door. "Mom, you're going to give me a heart attack!"

"Just think of all the adventures waiting for you!" she replied, a grin plastered on her face, her eyes sparkling with excitement. I knew this was a lifetime opportunity for me and she was excited about it but I couldn't smile like was.

As we approached the airport, I could see a line of cars stretching to the entrance. "No, no, no!" I groaned, feeling the panic rise again. "We're going to miss it!"

"Trust me!" she said, pulling into a drop-off zone and throwing the car into park. "Just grab your stuff and run!"

I scrambled out of the car, my suitcase bouncing behind me as I raced toward the entrance. I could hear her yelling behind me, "Don't forget to check in! I'll park the car!"

Inside the terminal, the chaos continued. The line for check-in was longer than I'd ever seen, and my heart sank. "This is it," I thought. "I'm going to miss my flight."

But as if sensing my distress, my mom burst through the door, breathless but determined. "We can't waste time!" she declared, leading me to the front of the line. She sweet-talked the attendant while shoving the letter in her face, her persistence and urgency working in our favor. Times like this is when I know I got a powerhouse mom.

"Boarding is in ten minutes!" the attendant said, glancing at the clock.

"Thank you so much!" I said, relief flooding through me as we grabbed my boarding passes.

We dashed through security, my pills flying off as we hurriedly placed our belongings on the conveyor belt. I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins, shit! shit! those were my pills to get through heat. Whatever, I just wanted to bring my own stuff I'll ask them when I get there. The chaos of the morning fading into a blur.

Finally, we reached the gate just as they were announcing final boarding. I turned to my mom, her hair slightly messy and her face flushed from the rush, and I couldn't help but smile. "We made it!"

"Of course, we did!" she said, her eyes sparkling with pride.

As I took my seat on the plane, I looked back at her, waving goodbye.

—---

The hum of the airplane engines created a soothing rhythm that wrapped around me like a warm blanket. I leaned back in my seat, the gentle sway of the aircraft lulling me into sleep. As I drifted off, the sounds of the cabin faded away, replaced by dreams of how i imagined the next four years to go.

I jolted awake to a gentle nudge. Blinking against the harsh cabin lights, I saw a flight attendant with a kind smile. "Excuse me, we've landed," she said softly, her voice a comforting sound against the disorientation I felt. I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep as I gathered my things, excitement bubbling beneath my fatigue.

As I stepped off the plane, a rush of cool air greeted me, invigorating and fresh. The airport was bustling, but I felt a peculiar sense of anticipation as I made my way through the terminal. My heart raced with the realization that this was the start of something new.

Outside, I spotted a sleek, black limousine waiting by the curb, the glossy surface reflecting the sunlight. Standing next to it was a striking figure he held a sign with my mane on it walking towards him.

"Are you my ride?" I asked, He nodded, looking me up and down sniffing the air than frowning "I'm here to take you to your new school," he replied, his voice held disdain.

I climbed into the limousine; I didn't really care what he thought, settling into the plush leather seats that enveloped me like a cloud. Rich people have it good, lucky bastards. The interior was luxurious, with soft lighting and a mini bar stocked with refreshments. The door closed with a soft thud, and the car began to move, gliding away from the airport and onto a winding road.

As we drove, the scenery transformed from the urban sprawl of the city to the serene beauty of the countryside. Trees lined the roads, tall and ancient, their leaves covering us from the sun. I gazed out the window, the landscape shifting from bustling life to the forests, how far are we each passing mile I gripped my bags tighter.

"When will be there?" I asked

"be quiet," he replied cryptically, his gaze fixed on the road ahead. "A poor omega like you shouldn't be hear."

What the fuck, an omega like me? "Thats funny coming from a beta with no use to society except for being a fucking slave to an alpha." I said with a snicker " look at you driving this poor omega to school. What life are you living?" giving him a look that said he was stupid "This isn't some book where the driver threatens the poor omega; grow up where in the twenty-first century asshole."

I got no response. That's what I thought fucking asshole.

As we journeyed deeper into the woods, the trees grew thicker, casting shadows over the road. The atmosphere shifted, showing we were getting closer, as if we were entering a different world I guess you could say I really was. Only its filled with pretentious pricks.

Finally, we arrived at a clearing, and my breath caught in my throat. Before us loomed a magnificent building, grand and imposing. Its architecture was a blend of ancient stone and modern elegance, with tall spires reaching toward the sky, framed by lush greenery. Beautiful I see why this place Is know for in the top Prestigious school.

"Hay, get out," the driver said, gesturing toward the school.

I stepped out of the limousine, my heart pounding

With one last glance at the man, who watched me with a frowned expression, I took a deep breath and stepped through the grand doors of the Academy.
